General Buddingtonite wasn't known for too much for his sixth sense and often times others would have assumed that he simply lost it. When brains were handed out, Buddingtonite was absent, likely on the account of being otherwise preoccupied with making an intimate acquaintance with the head of the vanity department. Not to say that he was completely dumb, or suicidal, but somewhere along the lines, his ability to approach a situation with caution and learning to pick up on the small, tiny little hoarse voice that screamed 'danger danger danger' had been horribly compromised.

He suspected nothing, and it reflected in his rather lackadaisical mannerisms as he strolled through the near emptied streets. The cold had pretty much chased people into their homes and only the foolish, the bundled up ones, and those with purpose were out in the streets this evening. Buddingtonite wasn't sure which one he fit, but he seemed to not be bothered with the cold, given that one of the benefits of offering ones starseed to Queen Metallia was the heavy soldat steel coat that he carried, offering him the perfect defense against that pesky chill that chased so many others away. So, if he had to guess, it was number 2.

Unfortunately, that would mean that the pickings would be bare, and that annoyed him to some extent. Not that there were any massive quotas to fulfill, but he felt as though his pockets were lighter than they should have been, and energy orb or starseeds would resolve that problem. 'Mica's been in my stash again... I'm beginning to ponder if she's grown attached to its taste.'

It was a troubling thought, this starseed addiction that seemed to plague his dear, good, kind friend, though he feared ever addressing it with her. And just as the thought appeared in his head, it vanished, chases away by the ping on Order aura. Knights. Two of them! He should have been worried, but there wasn't a single ounce of fear in his mind. Only barely contained excitement, and now, a boomerang in his hand. "Well, I wonder if she'll fancy the taste of knight starseeds... I wonder what they would taste like? I bit Mars would be spicy..."

"Just as I've already told you for the umpteenth time Corinth, and I will not hesitate to reiterate again, I'm perfectly fine patrolling on my own so you should just turn around and head on back before that nasty head cold you had returns with a vengeance to knock you off your feet once again!"

Dallol rolled her eyes, not at all impressed or amused at how hard-headed her boyfriend Corinth was being by refusing to allow her to patrol the streets of Destiny City solo. It wasn't as if she hadn't done this before - she had done it countless times even before she ran into him. Besides, she rationalised that it wasn't as if she was going to be out as often and long as what she was doing before winter came along given that her fuku wasn't exactly built to withstand the chill.

Oblivious to the Chaos aura that was closing in rapidly on their position, the Squire of Uranus glared at Corinth then gave a snort and stomped her foot on the ground, obviously displeased with the Neptune Page for choosing to come after her in spite of all the death threats and nasties she had been directing his way the entire time since they powered up and left her home.

"And just as I will reply, for the umpteenth-trillionth time..." Corinth laughed, slipping his jacket off his shoulders and wrapping it over Dallol's pulling her to him so that she was pressed against him. "I'm pretty much better and I want to make up the fact that I didn't text you so we could go to the party together..."

Leaning in, he kissed her soundly, hoping that she'd get the hint that he was tired of arguing with her over the fact that he was not going to leave her to patrol alone after what had just gone down at the new years eve party.

He wasn't paying attention to the chaos aura either, to intent on trying to get his girlfriend to relax and just enjoy a moment with him.

It did not take long at all to find the two knights, though there was a maelstrom of thoughts and emotions that threatened to consume him. He had hoped to see new faces, but instead what he got was... well... one of them was somewhat new to him, or at least he did not remember seeing him before, but the other... the blue haired, tan, sheer fabric attire...

Dallol.

For a brief moment, he fought the urge to simply bull rush the both of them, striking down the Page that walked along her side and throwing Dallol over her shoulders, and run, run, run! The plan would have been a simple one- grab her, present her to a General-King or Queen, and then, at last, Dallol could be his, safe, protected... leashed. And never would she leave his side again, under any circumstances!

What stopped him, however? He wasn't sure. He strolled into far grimmer situations with little to no fear in his heart, but now he found himself wanting to slink away. Maybe... he could do so, without either one seeing him. The idea of teleporting hadn't crossed his mind, though he wish it would have, as it would have made his efforts to backpedal all the easier. Truth was, he wasn't ready to bring her into his fold- he needed time, he needed a plan.

His boot hit the edge of the curb and his foot slammed into the puddle with a resounding 'splash', and if that didn't give him away, it was the loud 's**t' that he muttered, completely crass and ungentleman like in every sense of the word. Now that he was certain that they would spot him, he straightened up and cleared his voice, turning to them just in time to see the kiss that the Neptune page gave to Dallol, and the words died in his throat. "Look at what we have here! It'd be careful, you two walking like that could get mistaken for lo-..."

Dallol's eyes were as big as saucers when Corinth caught her entirely off guard by using his jacket to first snag and then tug her to him, her voice already lifting in obvious warning at what was about to come only to be rendered speechless by the lips that were sealed over hers without any warning. "What do you think you're doing Cor..." Clenching her fingers tightly, she lifted her fists to bring them down hard against the raven haired Page's chest, ruthless and with absolute disregard as to how much that would hurt him as she tried to get him to desist and let her go. She managed to get in one hit and then another before her resolve finally crumbled from the kiss, her arms slipping around him as she spooned herself against his warmth.

This wasn't fair at all. He was starting to read her like an open book even to the point of knowing what exactly he could do to get past her defences. The splashing sound followed by a muttered curse that seemed to have come from someone familiar drew her attention immediately back to the present. The unmistakeable Chaos aura of a General in their immediate vicinity sending her reeling with horror at how careless the both of them had been as she turned from Corinth to the sight of an all too familiar redhead General in a soldat steel coat who now stood before her.

"Buddingtonite..."

How long had it been since they met last? Back when she was his General and reduced to nothing more than a mindless slave who delighted in being his favourite and taking care of his personal youma Gra? No. She paled visibly, her blood freezing literally in her veins as she started to hyperventilate from the memory of how powerless she was in stopping him from forcibly corrupting her. "Why are you... here..."

He couldn't be here to do that. It was too soon.

This wasn't the future that she saw.

Corinth somewhat recognized the general in front of them, and without even a thought, he put himself between Buddingtonite and Dallol. His jaw set and his fist clenched. He had unfinished business with this man - and it stemmed from being almost killed by him.

But he was upsetting Dallol - so that didn't help matters either.

"Dallol, run." He spoke to her quietly, thankful that the general seemed to be caught off guard by their earlier actions. "Go get help... I'll hold him as long as I can..."

He didn't wait for a reply from her - for her to try and talk him out of what was probably something certifiably insane.

He immidately bull-rushed the general. Closing the distance between them quickly as he threw a hard punch at the other male's face. He would die to save Dallol...

She was his girl after all...

Get your hands off of her. She's mine!

The words were close to escaping his lips, but he managed to hold them back for the time being. How long would that self control last? How long could he resist the urge to bull rush the Neptune page out of the way and grab Dallol? If he wanted to play out his future perfectly, he knew that he was not strong enough, but could he afford to wait for that? He'd grab her and present her to a General-Queen, even Apatite the twit, and that'd be that...

She had asked him a question, but there was no time to answer. He didn't trust himself to answer, either... no, if he spoke, then maybe that voice would take over, puppet his voice box and thus spiral the situation even deeper into chaos. Though... was that necessarily a bad thing?

Mine. Mine. MINE.

The chorus was chased away when Corinth ran at him, and just like that, he snapped back into reality. Right now, he couldn't have that glorious future, so long as Corinth lived! He needed to get rid of Corinth, and it needed to be permanent. The first came at his face fast but Buddingtonite managed to dodge it, taking a step back and giving away from ground in order to avoid the pain that the blow would have definitely caused. He retaliated with a strike of his own, more to push Corinth back than kill him yet- if he had to fight, he'd rather it be on his terms. "Your very existence insults me and I will not STAND for it!"

He summoned his boomerang and took a swing, hoping, silently praying that Dallol would be too stubborn to run. If he had to fight both of them, so be it!
