Akemi is a rather large village that gains most of its wealth through the fishing trade, by selling most of their goods to the capital Tsubame. This village works hand and hand with Mariko as both the villages keep track of the ever wandering Sea Monster Astrarot to know when it is best time to fish, and when to make the most profit. Because of the prosperity gained from fishing this village has built a tall rock wall that surrounds the entire village to help protect it from most demons. This all wall provides only one entrance, where guards regularly take post to regulate visitors, and to sound alarms to sudden attacks.

Talathel stirred from his slumber, opening one of his eyes to stare at the ceiling. His long mane of white and black hair spread out around his slender, muscled frame. He could hear the rain beating against the roof of his small hut. He sighed as he stretched out before standing and pulling on his black haori, decorated with white flowers along the sleeve. Talathel moved to the lone window to look outside. He sighed as he took in the rain fall. He didn't like the rain, but he knew he had to head out for the day regardless.
Talathel picked up his two swords and slipped them into his white obi and moved to the door. Looking back at his room the humans allowed him to have, which wasn't all that great even if they did tolerate him. He sighed again as he slipped on his sandals and stepped out into the cool rain. His ears twitched as the rain began to soak his hair and run down his face. He blinked his red eyes to clear the water from them and began walking down the path toward the village. "Lets see what sort of things happen today." He thought to himself.

As Talathel walked down the path his ears perked up slightly at the sound of a bush rustling off to the side. Instinctively his hands went to the handles of his swords and he approached slowly. As he got closer to the bush a fox darted out, seemingly startled to his presence and ran off into the village. Upon seeing that the noise was made by a mere fox, he relaxed his grip on his swords and let them fall to his sides. "That is a bit of a relief" He said to himself. "It may have been something more dangerous." He continued down the path and entered the village without meeting anything else, yet could tell the inhabitants were starting to wake up to prepare for a days work, despite the rain.
As Talathel walked through the village he noticed a few people coming out of somewhat similar huts to his, only much larger in size. He could feel their stares as he walked by, but he got used to that a long time ago. At least they didn't really bother him as much now. Talathel thought to himself that maybe it was time for something a little more exciting than the life in this village as he walked. Sure, this place was mostly safe, but he desired to see more of the world. He came on the waters edge, his favorite spot to think and sat there for a few hours by himself.

Demon Appearance: Oni no Same
Current Location: Akemi Mood: Alert Course of Action Taking:Wacthing the water/thinking What is expected of him?: Sitting, contemplating
Talathel sat there staring out at the wide ocean, his haori clinging to his skin due to the rain, he noticed a humanoid looking shark creature jump out from the ocean and dive back beneath the surface. With the distance, the creature posed no threat to him. "That looked mildly threatening" he said quietly, his features appeared slightly disturbed as he turned and stood up, lightly shaking himself to rid him of the rain that had soaked his hair. "Ugh.” he sighed, “why must it be raining?" He began walking back to the wall of the village with hope that someone may decide to talk to him, though he wouldn't get his hopes up. The humans only interacted with him on rare occasions, mostly staying away from him due to fear. The ones who did talk to him, however; only teased him from his strange looks.
He made his way up the path back into the village. Talathel desperately needed to dry off after being out in the rain. Looking down at himself, he realized he was completely drenched. Upon entering the village he paced towards the inn near the center of town. It was an older building, and he questioned if it was even suitable to charge the many travelers to stay.
As he entered the inn a few patrons shot customary glares his way, which he ignored. He moved slowly over to the fireside and sat down to warm himself and hopefully dry off a bit. He took note of the inside of the building as well, and became more aware just how rundown the place was. The wood was rotting in some corners and it reeked of ale. Slowly, he turned his back to the rest of the people inside, yet he was cautiously aware of their movements. It is rare, but sometimes the humans still caused him problems over his appearance.

Raine and Katsu
Ǥrey eyes flickered about the dense woods of the forest as strands of her red hair lazily trailed after her, resting for a moment against her shoulder-blades before her companion picked up his pace once more.
Her small body clung to the chestnut Hippogryph’s sides as she buried her face into its neck as he galloped through to forest once more, making the poor girl shake up and down upon his bareback.
Her body was small, even for human standards; being five foot one and weighing about a hundred pounds. She really did have to hold on tightly to her friend. He was massive, being a dominant male of his species.
After a moment she had forced herself to sit up, opening her eyes to look around, though most of it was a blur. “Katsu!” She spoke loudly, causing the Hippogryph to halt in his spot; her small body almost being flung off of him as she pressed herself against his feathers, before regaining her composure once more. Her loose dusty pink cherry blossom kimono rolled up her legs slightly as she sighed at him.
“We have to be quiet… We are almost at the Village… We don’t want to make a scene.” She had spoken softly.
The Hippogryph took a few steps as she glanced around once more, her eyes picking up movement but she could not tell from where. Her hands slowly moved down to the hilt of her dagger, her fingers pressed lightly against it as she took a moment to take in the surrounding area before her comrade snorted and began to pace through the forest once more, making its way even deeper out of the swamp; heading towards Akemi.

Demon Appearance: Sabertooth Haiena
Current Location: Akemi Mood: Afraid. Course of Action Taking: Riding Katsu. What is expected of her?: Get inside the Village.
Raine and Katsu
ℛaine continued to scout the area as Katsu padded lightly through the forest, his cyan blue eyes blinking lightly as he could sense some sort of creature not too far away; and that made him act even more uneased, causing the young lady to shift from side to side in an attempt to stay upon his back while continuing to hold onto her dagger. A part of her wanted to call out into the distance as she continued to see some sort of shadow move just out reach of detection, but she also knew it was slowly getting closer and that it would likely be in vain if she were to say anything at this point.
In a matter of second she caught the final glimpse of the creature as it leaped out at them from the side. It’s position was much higher then she would have thought and she barely managed to roll herself against the large hippogryph before plunging the dagger forwards in a sort of attempt to knock the creature back, her surprise raising quickly as the tactic managed to work.
It was then that she saw the creature known as the Sabertooth Haiena fling to it’s back just a few feet away from her.
A strike of panic bestowed her as she recognised the beast from her old village, but it was rare to see them around the forests of these parts. “It’s… a…” She had began before the large Hippogryph reared and started to bolt, causing her to quickly lose her breath and grab onto his large red feathers. Raine felt her eyes widening as she barely managed to stay on her friends back, but she soon heard the creature charge after them. “K-Katsu!” She found her voice once more as the hippogryph began to squawk angrily, perhaps cursing the density of the forest. After All he couldn't fly in such a tight area.
Although they seemed to have the advantage overall as the Haiena began to crash into the foliage around them. Raine thanked the gods that the beast had no eyes as Katsu continued to dodge the oncoming trees and large roots, heading straight for the villages front doors. The two of them have never been so glad that such a place had a wall, and she held onto Katsu as he finally unfolded his large rusty wings to scale over the rocky stones of the wall, his front claws gripping into it as he thrust forwards with his wings.

Talathel was just beginning to relax by the fire side. He was mostly dry now, after being out in the rain for a while. As he sat thinking of what to do once the rain passed, he noticed his sword was glowing faintly blue. "Something strong must be approaching the village," he thought to himself. Unsure of what this danger could be, or why it was heading toward the village, he stood up and slipped his swords into his obi for the second time that day. "Maybe it would be wise to investigate this..?" he said to himself as he walked toward the inn's door. He grinned to himself as he went out the door. "Maybe something exciting will happen today after all..." he thought.
Talathel ran through the village and noticed some of the villagers to be screaming, running away from the wall. He turned to stop one of them. "What's going on over there?" he asked the man, who had a look of terror on his face.
"The wall, something's climbing!" was all he could manage before running off.
"Ugh, what helpful information...." he growled as he dashed over to the wall. As Talathel got close to the wall he could hear something scratching against the wall. Not knowing what it could be, He decided to jump onto the top of the wall to better assess the situation at hand.
Looking over the wall he saw what appeared to be a rather large bird like creature, half climbing the wall, half flying up it. The sight of it momentarily startled him as he had never seen such a thing before. Just then a demon crashed through the trees at the edge of the forest and was heading right for the wall. "So, that explains why this thing is climbing the wall." He said, backing up so as to give it room. He didn't notice the second figure due to the angle of the creature.

Raine and Katsu
ℛaine found her grey eyes widening as she clung onto her companions back as her life depended on it, literally. Her small hands digging into the creature's back as it had began to climb up the wall with its front talons, it’s wings flapping to gain more height before it was face to face with a man standing at the top.
Katsu squaked loudly at the being before realising that it was half demon, his break slowly opened before he had thrusted forwards one final time to land upon the top of the wide stone wall. His icy cyan blue eyes seemed to glare at the half tiger as Raine finally managed to pull herself upright, looking around quickly before the large thud of the beast charging into the wall caused her to quickly yelp in alarm.
She had found one of her hands placed upon her chest as she took in a deep breath, hoping that the danger was nearly gone. Her grey eyes steadying before she focused upon the half demon man before her. “Oh… Um, Hello.” She began softly, cursing the fact that she drew almost the entire villages attention; she had no idea how they would treat her from here on out.

Raine and Katsu
ℛaine found herself smiling softly as she continued to take in soft breaths of air, calming down from the sudden excitement as the demon turned from the wall, smelling a nearby Cotton Tail Rabbit . It seemed to be in the state of starvation and quickly ran after its new prey. This was good news and Katsu fluffed out his feathers in victory, his Cyan blue eyes almost seemed to sparkle and one could almost swear to see a smirk across his rather large beak.
After a moment passed Raine gently stretched out her arms, her hands still tingling from holding on so tightly. “I… Suppose... “ She began, unsure of how to word this now with such an event beforehand. “I suppose there is an Inn that won’t draw us anymore attention than what we have already gathered?” She asked softly, a small grin played on her features as she gazed down at the half demon from atop of the looming hippogryph, her small hands gently pressing against her forehead to stop the heavy rain from getting into her eyes.
Even if he was part demon she showed no signs of fear from total lack of the outside world. Her naive nature would most likely surprise the rest of the villages, if she happened to come into contact with. Although with her long unruly crimson hair and her underdeveloped grey eyes, most people stayed away from her.

Talathel leapt back slightly as what he now understood to be a hippogryph came over the top of the wall, landing a short distance from him. The creature had squawked at him in what he thought to be a slightly annoyed tone. His ears perked up when he heard a voice say hello. 'Could this hippogryph speak?' He thought to himself. On closer inspection. he noticed the form of a woman clinging to the back of the beast. She appeared to be regaining her composure after the hippogryph had climbed the wall and he realized it must have been her that spoke.
"Somebody is...talking to me?" He muttered quietly. No one had really tried speaking to him before, let alone a woman. Unsure of how he should react to this, he stared at her for a few moments. "Uhm....Hello...are you friend?" He said, his red eyes meeting her grey. Shuffling around the hippogryph, cautiously keeping out of its reach just to be safe, he got a closer look at the rider. He took note of the womans blood red hair and noticed the leaves and twigs that clung to it. "A demoness?" He thought to himself as he looked at her. That is until he caught a whiff of her scent. "Human!" He blurted out suddenly, and then covered his mouth. Narrowing his eyes at her, he noticed that his sword was no longer glowing blue.
"Hpmh, well i guess that means the danger wasn't from you or your pet..." He said a little louder than he hoped. Staring at her, he decided now was a good time to escape the rain. "Are you sure you want to go to the inn? The way you look, you may attract more attention than not. Even if it is just a run down place. If you like, I have a tiny hut not far from here where you might dry off." He spoke softly, while turning slowly, keeping an eye on her mount. "Follow me, if you like." He stated bluntly as he bent down and jumped to the ground below.

Raine and Katsu
ℛaine gently gazed over at the strange man, her light grey colored eyes quickly catching his small tiger ears before she smiled cheerfully through the rain. “Yea i’m talking to you, I hope I did not offend you at all… I think i’m a friend… but I hardly know you as well.” Her voice sounded softer than before as a wave of worry swept through her small body. Her friend however, grunted loudly and ruffled his large feathers. He seemed to be somewhat impatient and disliked the rain pouring down on him.
A moment went by as the half demon collected his thoughts before finally noticing her scent, causing Raine to jump slightly in her seat at the sudden outburst. “Y-yes, i’m a human.” She stuttered softly, her eyes widening before once more the guy calmed down once again. She had no idea how to take his sudden outburst and gently fidgeted with her fingers as he had called Katsu a pet. “W-well…” She had began but it was too late. Katsu turned his head sharply to stare down at the young man, his cyan blue eyes enraged before he unraveled his wings, causing Raine to slide off his large back; her butt making contact with the top of the stone wall. “Ah, ouch!” She stammered as the beast began to take off once more, heading towards the nearest stable.
“He… He’s not a pet… and you made him angry.” She spoke after a moment. Her grey eyes looking down from the wall as she realised that she could be stuck up there for a while.
She heard the half demon speak again and her eyes blinked at his form, clearly in awe at how easily he managed to get down. “Give me a moment.” She started slowly before she bravely began to climb down, her feet occasionally slipping from the rain, but she managed to catch herself each time.
