So to kick off of the new year, an animated classic thread for Frozen. One of Disney's most successful productions and has hit the world by storm and the hype is still going with plans for Broadways productions more merchandise than ever before and rumors of a sequel occurring every other week.

So what better way to kick off conversations. So who likes it, who hates it and why?

I love this one! I love how the focus of this story wasn't a romance but a relationship between sisters. There was romance thrown in there, but it wasn't all about that. Plus, the 'prince' wasn't the good guy but the actual villain in this one. Loved that twist in the story. Plus, Idina Menzel... That automatically made it amazing.

Remember a while back when they had that clip with Olaf and Sven on the ice competing for Olaf's carrot nose? That was the first sense of what to expect with Frozen and it wasn't even in the movie.

I *hated* that little scene. It put so much emphasis on Olaf, it really turned me off. When I learned Josh Gad played Olaf, I was prepared to write it off entirely (I'll never forgive him for 1600 Penn).

But Frozen is SO MUCH BETTER than what we were first presented with, it seriously makes me wonder if Disney has forgotten how to market their films.

Lately it feels like Disney just assumes that because they are Disney we'll watch their films regardless. I hadn't even planned to watch Frozen until everyone started saying how good it was. Before that, it wasn't even on my radar.

I really do like Frozen. The movie is unique and touching but mostly I think the music is FANTASTIC. I think it was (and still is) hyped TOO MUCH though. I was a little later than most on the train to actually watch Frozen - even though I already knew all the lyrics to the soundtrack. And for me, it was good but I wasn't blown away by it because my expectations were just set too high.
So, closing statement; I am a fan of the film. But I'm so so tired of hearing about Frozen. I'm ready for it to become old news.

I'm a fan of it. (:

Visuals. Beautiful. The background, the characters, the snow, just...Lovely!
Music. Really enjoyable. Super cute, catchy, and relatable.
Main Story. Sisterly love instead of a relying on a man? Thank you! Awesome message to young girls. Great twist ending.
Character. My favorites was Elsa, whose transformation was inspiring, & Olaf, who kept the movie pretty light-hearted.

Audience. I'm so tired of everyone saying how "amazing" Frozen is and the "How could you not like it?!" comments. Chill people. Everyone's taste differs.
Character. Anna. I love Anna and her personality. She's adorable and very relatable! I also think Kristoff was a great match for her since he's down to earth and realistic, a bit of the opposite from Anna. To cut to the chase, I simply didn't like the scene where Anna was heading off to Kristoff (when turning to ice) and the kiss scene with Kristoff.
➥ Anna heading to Kristoff: UGH. I hated how when Olaf hinted that Kristoff loves her, she was surprised and immediately set out to kiss him (before changing her mind to save her sister). Just a few minutes ago, she was absolutely sure Hans was her true love and then with Olaf's hint, she started running to another man. She moved on from her "true love" pretty fast...
➥ Which brings me to the kiss scene: Kristoff is great for her but a kiss? After being rejected, she instantly went off to another guy. I'm sure she LIKES Kristoff, but love? Doubt it. It's probably a budding romance. Anna, the experience with Hans should have taught you to take things slow! lol

That's my opinion on the movie. 3nodding
