With so much information to cover, sometimes, the staff forget to add or address some parts of the lore. Sometimes, we just don't think of something in particular until it's brought up! This FAQ is designed for you to ask us anything that isn't addressed, or to expand on what has already been mentioned. All answers will be listed here. You are free to post in this forum to ask anything you'd like!
ABOUT THE PETS
Q: Do Aeternus wear clothes?
A: In their initial stage, no. Some may have parts of their essence or ether that act as clothing, but it is not common.
Q: Do Aeternus have reproductive organs?
A: They do not. The Aeternus reproduce differently than humans, and while they mimic some of their visual anatomy, they are lacking the actual parts that function for reproduction. They basically look like Barbie and Ken dolls!
Q: In regards to the Vocivus, each Aeterna could theoretically have it's own "dream/home world" that they may affiliate to?
A: No part of the Vocivus is private, even if an Aeterna imagines walls or somewhere 'unreachable,' there's no part of it that is locked off. You are absolutely allowed to describe a 'dream home' for them in their journal if you'd like, or a list of places they may rotate through, places they might be 'found' for RP purposes.
Q: Can Aeterna have similar likes/dislikes/hobbies as humans?
A: They can have likes and dislikes, but they wont be typical like you would for human pets or pets that are in the human world. For example, they may like people watching, scaring the birds in the park, creeping through houses to see how others live, etc. They would not have hobbies like sports, video games, playing instruments, etc.
Q: What do Aeternus do when they aren't reaping?
A: So many people and things die every second of the day, it's completely understandable if they DID reap all the time, so their downtime is up to you! In the Vocivus, they can hung out, chat, fight with others, make friends, do as they please within reason. If an Aeterna isn't reaping, they'd either spend time in the Vocivus or in the human world. Personalities are beginning to be varied, so the degree of what the do vs their time reaping is up to you.
Q: Do the Aeternus have powers outside of reaping?
A: They can understand all speech, be it human or the ways of nature (such as a wolf's howl or the chirp of a cricket). They have no further powers at this time.
Q: Is there a thought or idea behind why they reap?
A: They are death -- they are the inevitable death that comes for everything, from the smallest blade of grass to the tallest tree. Reaping is instinctive, in the way wolves form packs and lionesses hunt. However, coming into a human mindset, some may start to question it. Reaping is no different than eating or sleeping for humans, they know when it's time, it's how they survive and it's what they know to do.

Q: Do we have to name our pet right away?
A: No, you do not! You are perfectly allowed to wait. Please just let us know if you'd prefer to do that within the 24 hours allotted to claim your win.
Q: Can I RP my approved Aeterna if I haven't received the art yet?
A: Yes you may! If your Aeterna is approved or is waiting official art, you may absolutely RP them. They may only RP in the Vocivus, however, until their art is official.
