Jake sat at the foot of a tree near the base of the mountain. He was smoking a cigarette, so out of place in this strange world he had come to. It was early morning, and he had been in the realm for two days, having appeared from the shadows at lunch time in a small wood and walked the way to where he now sat. His aim, to travel to the mountain, and meet the people within. His sword and rifle were strung over his back, ready in case he should be attacked by some monster, there were fierce ones In this world he knew. Finishing his cigarette, he set back off on his journey.
