Posted as a Guardian of the Warded Lands. This was a position that required the Guardian to spend a great deal of time in the protected lands that the Wards of the Jedi lived, some choosing to just live there and visit the temple instead. Some others might not be super happy about this posting, sad to be away from the core of their Jedi family, but Abeo was loving it! Not because she wouldn't miss seeing her friends everyday! But because that trek between the Warded Lands and the Temple was such a nice run. Okay, well not only that. Protecting the Jedi's Wards is a very important task as well. After all, they had promised to protect these people, who would they be if they let them down.
But the run also helped.
Abeo still hadn't decided wither or not she would live there. She thought about it a lot, on her run too and from the Temple. She could easily move back and forth between the two, the trip not taking so long with the speeds she liked to keep.
All in all, a deceptively difficult decision she still mulled over as she was doing her routine guard patrol around the Warded Lands.

Warray was lost in thought as he walked around the Warded grounds. His daughters had grown up into a strong lionesses, his adoptive cubs were now adults as well and were making him proud. Now that they were all grown, he didn't really need to stay at the pride. The jedi were honorable, a force of good. He did his best to be helpful to the pride, mostly by hunting and gathering, but it was nothing compared to what the jedi did.
Coming to the pride, he felt a kinship to them. They didn't care who he was or where he came from, only they he needed help and they were willing to help him. They never bugged him about becoming a jedi and he had no interest in becoming one. His cubs did however and the skills they learned amazed him.
Now he wondered if it was time for him to move on. His cubs had all found a home here and were happy. Wasn't it time for him to find his own happiness if he was even worthy of being happy?
BAM! His head smacked straight into one of the trees and he fell backwards. “Gotta watch where I'm going.” He muttered.

At the sound of a sudden crack, Abeo's Guardian reflexes automatically kicked in and she went into full alert mode. Crouched in a defensive stance she took a careful look around to see what might of made the noise. What she saw surprised her.
"Warray! Hey!" She immediately dropped back into her more lax stance and trotted over to him, grin on her face. "How's it been? Haven't seen you si-" She blinked, taking in him, the tree. and the sound she had heard. "You okay?"

Warray heard Abeo's voice before he saw her. He gave her a wide grin. “It's been going great.” He slowly got up and rubbed his head with a paw. “This tree popped up out of now where and I guess we had a little bit of a spar. Unsurprisingly, I lost.” He could feel a small bump forming where he had gotten hit.
“How are things going for you? On patrol?” He asked. Occasionally he saw her around, but usually he was running errands of sort and didn't have time to talk. Luckily for him, today he got a chance to talk to her. AND he couldn't make a bigger fool of himself than he had already.

Abeo laughed and then flashed a grin "Very dangerous the trees in this part. Been known to be quite as a mouse and deadly as a heard of wildebeest! You're fortunate to be alive!" She winked at him. "It's the very thing I hunt these patrols for!" She laughed again. "Just let me know if your battle wound starts to smart."
She smiled "But, for real, it is very nice to see you again! I'm doing great. I've been posted as one of the full time Guardians for the Warded Lands, so be prepared to see more of me!" She grinned again. "Well, that's if I slow down that is!"

“In the future I will be more careful around them. Or at the very least travel near you so you can protect me.” Warray said, feeling less embarrassed by the situation.
“It's good to see you too. And congratulations! We are lucky to have you keeping guard in the area.” He looked back toward the temple. “You don't have to run here everyday do you? I guess if you like running it isn't that big of an issue.” He couldn't imagine doing the run everyday. Occasionally he would go to the temple and see how things were.
The pain in his head started fading away. He did not want to go to the temple just because he walked into a tree. “If you need anything while you are here, feel free to ask for my help. I might not be able to fight a tree, but I have other skills that could be useful.”

"Well I'd be more then happy to protect you! It's kinda what I do!" She said, gesturing to the red jasper beads around her neck.
"And thank you! I was very happy to get the position! Hope to be of great service!" She followed his gaze towards the temple. "Yeah, I make the run twice a day. I love the run but I'll admit that I've been thinking of just staying here and making the trip to the Temple when I either need or a need to visit drive me." She grinned "Or just the urge to reach top speeds."
She blinked at the lion's offer and smiled. "Thank you very much Warray, that is mighty kind of you." She bowed "It is nice getting to know those I am protecting." And her grin showed up again "And I don't blame you for not knowing how to fight trees! Only the most skilled of Guardians have ever been able to take one down!"

“Having more company here would be wonderful!” Warray exclaimed. “I mean, after you are done with your duties of course. It wouldn't be very beneficial for me to keep you company while you're working. I think.”
He laughed. “Well, perhaps I could convince a skilled guardian to give me some lessons on taking down trees. Hm?” He said with a playful grin. “Probably would have to start with basics though first. Start by learning how to combat a single blade of grass and go from there.”

"Company after patrol would be nice! I have the benefit from being raised with a good deal of the Jedi but I haven't met with any of the Wards really. Mostly you, how lucky am I?" She winked and laughed.
"As for fighting skills..." She made a show of circling around him like an inspection, hmming and haaing every so often. "Well, by my well trained eye I think you could at least take a blade of grass. Maybe we can start with flowers?" She grinned.

“Some of the wards have amazing stories of the rogue lands. I have stories, but most of them are made up.” He said, thinking back to the days when he would tell lie after lie to try and impress others.
He stood up tall and proud when she circled around him. “Then let the flowers be warned that I Warray the ward will be fighting them!” He said, trying not to laugh. It had been some time since he had this much fun. Most of his worries seemed forgotten.
“Since you are helping me with my tree training, why don't I help you out by introducing you to some of the wards? They would be honored to meet you.”

"I've been out to the Rougelands a few times, most of it for my Trails. I'd love to hear the stories, both real AND made up." She laughed "Some times I like the made up ones more!"
She saluted him. "Well Warray the Ward, I shall issue your challenge to any and all flowers that I come across! They will come to fear your name!" She managed to keep a serious face for a few short moments before her grin slid back into place.
"Warray the Ward I would be honored if you would introduce me to the others! But it'll have to happen once I'm finished making sure you're all safe." She waved to the path she had been walking. She raised a brow. "After all, I have a challenge to be issuing! Who's going to let the flowers know their time is short if not me?" Abeo laughed again.

“Well then I will be sure to tell you as many stories that I can next time we have a chance.” He said with a grin. “And of course. I do not want to keep you from your duties.”
He sat there and watched her go. The pain in his head seem to come back. 'She must have distracted me from the pain,' he thought, as he rubbed his head. He wondered when the next time he would run into her again and if his plans on moving to a different pride would happen first. Hopefully not, he thought, as he made his way back to his den.
