Personality: Kai is a young man who could be described as being both friendly and kind, traits he admittedly inherited from his mother. Kai has the ability to befriend and get along with others, easily. Even though for most of his childhood, he remained inside the mansion, because of his position, though that didn't stop him from going out and making friends. Though sometimes his kindness can get him into trouble as he is too trusting of others and always sees the good in them. Seeing this, his father, when he had the time, would personally train Kai. Teaching him many things in the process, such as: kindness, honesty, loyalty, and friendship. Which was odd, since his father had a hard time with those things, during his childhood and young adult years. As he continued to train with his father, Kai learned something else about himself. He loved fighting. He loved the thrill of facing off against another whose stronger and more experienced. While his father is known for his ranged combat and gun skills, Kai seemingly fell in love with the ways of the sword, something his father use to be known for as well.
Though he loves fighting, Kai will be the last person to blatantly start a fight for no reason. Unlike his father, Kai has a kind and gentle heart, so even in a battle, he will try to spare his opponent and deal as little damage as he can. To him, every life is precious, he sees value in everything. As such, he is quite reluctant to kill anyone, though he will do it if its for the better good of humanity, and his friends. Kai treasures his family and friends above anything else. When it comes to them, he will push himself to the limits and do whatever it takes. If one should be in danger or hurt, a different side of Kai is shown. This one, more reminiscent of his father. Kai shows his anger, which nothing can stop, save for his mother or father.

Bio (Up to five sentences minimum): Kai is the son of Lady Death and therefore he is the next one to become Death after her time is gone. His father is the guardian/protector of the Fifth Section, Kain. Growing up the child of Lady Death, one would think that Kai was a spoiled and very gaudy person, but he is the opposite. With a mother like Shira and a father like Kain, Kai was taught so much at such a young age. Which is why when he entered the DWMA, he had already accumulated more knowledge than his peers. Currently, Kai is is a 3rd year at the DWMA and has completed a total of 50 missions. He is also in the process of finding a partner, while also trying to become strong like his father.
Abilities:
- Wavelength Manipulation: Kai is very knowledgeable and talented in how to use his own soul wavelength; be it for offense, defense or supportive means. He is capable of producing and manipulating his soul wavelength from his body for offense, defense and supportive capabilities. He has been shown using this to fire off blasts similar to Soul Menace and has been known to be able to actual materialize his soul and fortify it, hardening it and making it into an translucent barrier.
Madness Release: Like his mother and grandfather, Kai has learned how to harness the madness within and utilize it in various ways. Kai, like his grandfather, uses it primarily as a supplementary technique. He contains the madness within himself and uses it to augment his own physical attributes. As a result of using this, Kai becomes closer to the madness, making him more and more unstable each time he uses it.
Lines of Sanzu: As with all those who are of Shinigami descent, Kai has on him, the Lines of Sanzu, which are represented as 3 white lines across his head, though they don't appear to be connected. The lines are known to be a sign of a true shinigami, as once all three lines connect, the shinigami will be able to awaken and obtain the status of a True Shinigami. As this is the case, only one can exist in the world. An example of this, is Kai's grandfather, Kid. When he managed to activate all three lines, Lord Death crumbled away and Kid became the next shinigami. Whenever Kai achieves this, it is safe to assume that his mother, Shira, may meet the same fate. Kai is able to connect one of his lines, which gives him access to one of his mother's abilities as well as increase his power to new heights. However, once they are connected, Kai will enter his complete form, he will never be able to go back.
