Subra greatly disliked some of the things that her nightmares had shown her, the nightmares and dreams and half-memories all the more strange and solid because Massalia shared a good deal of them. They were terrifying, but...
She had admired the her in them.
The older Subra had been strong, capable, confident. Sad, too, but...Subra wanted to be strong and capable. To be pretty and confident and to be good at this whole 'being a magical girl' thing. Instead, she was rather...well, clueless. And while Massalia had helped her in terms of 'use whatever you can to defend yourself', she had no idea how to use the magic she knew she had.
So...she was in the park, after having snuck out so she could patrol. At least she was out of school for a bit! So she could do it!Orangeish Sherbert I HOPE THIS DOESN'T FAIL.

Lenka really enjoyed the freedom that the Holidays gave her. She enjoyed not having a to terribly strict bedtime…not that she ever really went to bed on time anyway…but still. It made it easier to go out and patrol when she didn’t have to worry about her mother checking in on her at nine and making sure she was tucked in bed asleep. Of course, the real added bonus was the fact she didn’t have to wake up at the crack of dawn the following morning either.
All in all, the holidays from school made it so she could patrol a lot easier without worrying about life getting in the way. Of course, the real added bonus to it being the winter holidays…was the fact she had put some Christmas Cookies in her bag and was chomping on them as she sat on her favorite swing, letting her feet move her as she ate.
At least…until she saw the other chibi…or rather, felt her before seeing her. Same difference really.
Lenka swallowed her mouthful of cookies and coughed. “Hello there. Wanna come say hi? You out here alone?”
The aura felt like that of a basic chibi…and those shouldn’t be alone, really. Unless they had some lightsabers…basic chibis should stick together. Or something. She didn’t follow that advice, but she still thought it was good advice…

What was it with people knowing she was there before she knew?! Subra startled a bit, assuming a pose she'd seen in a Jackie Chan movie before relaxing. "Oh, uhm..." She smiled sheepishly, waving. "Hi." It was another girl, one with...wings on the back of her skirt? Something about wings like that tugged at the back of her mind, but she brushed it off.
"Yeah. I'm...well, my best friend can't always help me, and I'm still getting to know people. So...that means I need to learn how to do this on my own, too, right?" She fidgeted a bit, but kept her sheepish smile. "I'm Subra. Who're you?"

Lenka got herself off the swing and stretched. “Didn’t mean to scare you, couldn’t you feel me there? Or are you new enough that you don’t know how to scan the area to see if anyone’s around? I mean, I was in that position once, I understand. I’m Lenka, by the way. Senshi of watermelons.”
She left off the chibi part. If this girl hadn’t even sensed her…well. Then she wouldn’t know the difference between a real senshi and a chibi anyway. Maybe. Either way…she should hardly be considered a chibi anymore anyway. It just wasn’t fair! Ugh. Chibis.
“It isn’t really safe to come out here without anyone if you’re still learning…I mean, I know the best way to learn how not to fall down is to fall down, but Subra, if you fall down in this war, you might not ever get back up again…I’m not trying to scare you, I’m just saying…”
She paused, frowning slightly. Something else was out there, something not so very nice…and that didn’t make her feel very happy. But…hey. At least she would be able to help protect Subra, It was important to get help sometimes…that was one of her biggest lessons during her years of fighting in this war. It was never a bad thing to have help. Even if you didn’t want it.

"You can do that?!" There was poor Lenka's answer. "I didn't even know that was possible. I wonder if Massy knows we can do that..." She blinked, then smiled. "Nice to meet you, Lenka! I'm Subra, of Lynxes!" The fact she was connected to kitties still made her ridiculously happy.
The other girl's chatter made her frown, but she nodded. "I...I know I should have someone else with me. But Massy's parents are really strict and he can't always sneak out. And...I don't really know many others. And I..." She wanted to be more like the her in that future, just...not with all the bad stuff going on. "It's hard finding others, sometimes."

“It’s not so hard when you know what other’s feel like. Like…you feel nice, and warm and happy. Like a little drop of sunshine or something. And, if you close your eyes and focus, you’ll feel me too, only I’d be a bit brighter, like a bigger drop of sunshine…and regular senshi, you know. Not Chibis…they feel even brighter still. And I’m going to feel like that one day and…”
She broke off, looking out into the dark trees. She felt a youma nearby. She wasn’t worried about it…youma didn’t bother Lenka much now, but she was sort of afraid for the new Chibi here…she didn’t want Subra to get hurt. “If you also reach out your senses…you’ll feel something gross…like something squishy and creepy and crawly…it’s a youma. We can fight it, Subra…I’ll come to us. It senses us just like we sense it. And it wants to hurt us…but don’t worry. We got this. Together we can do anything.”
Because that was how senshi were supposed to be. They were supposed to be together.

Subra listened carefully, glad for the information the other was giving her. Lenka was right, though. The older senshi in front of her did feel like a big, bright ray of sunshine. And now that she thought about it...Massalia felt like a bright bit of sunshine, too! Not as big as Lenka, but not small, either!
And then she felt the darker aura Lenka spoke of and squeaked. "Oh." That...that wasn't at all good feeling. And she felt a little like she needed a shower because EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW. "O-okay!" She needed to be big and brave, and not shy away. She would have help from someone who'd been doing it longer, and Massalia had told her that they could win things, despite being young and small.

Lenka gave a little smile. “I’m guessing that means you feel it too, that’s good. It means you’re learning…so yeah. That’s good. We’re together, Subra. There’s nothing you and me can’t handle, so don’t even worry. I’ll help protect you, okay? I’ve fought like a million youma at least…I’ve been doing this since I was ten…and I’ll be fourteen soon, so…I know my stuff. We can take it.”
She grinned at the younger senshi and got ready…the youma was getting close, and was moving faster than she had wanted it to…and it was only half a minute after she had finished speaking that the bushes rustled slightly.
A moment after that came the youma, some half frog, half deranged rabbit looking creature, with slimy green skin and large wicked looking nails and fangs, as well as long ears.
“Ew…” It wasn’t that she was afraid of the youma…it was just…really gross looking. But…youma were always gross looking, so…
“You okay, Subra? Are you ready to get this thing? Because I’m ready. We got this.”

Subra's face scrunched up, and she made a distinct noise of disgust. "That is definitely the grossest one yet." Gross, and nasty looking, but...She took a deep breath, trying to look like she was ready to fight.
"I'm okay." She wasn't fighting alone. She had an older, more experienced senshi with her, she could totally do it. She would fight, and they would win, and another bad monster would be dusted, to never bother innocent people again! "Ready when you are! Uhm...do we have a plan?"

Lenka grinned, looking over at the younger girl. “Of course we have a plan.” She always had a plan when it came to youma, and now she summoned her attack, throwing the watermelon rind hard at the creature.
“We kill it.”
Simple plans of attack were how you got things done…and squishing youma into dust was how you carried out the simple plans of attack.
The youma did not like being hit with the watermelon senshis’ attack and hissed, trying to grab the rind before it could do any more damage, but Lenka was far too quick for that. In an instant the rind was back in her hand and she threw it at the youma once more. “Lenka full body rind!”
The creature let out an unearthly shriek as it was encased in a watermelon rind.
“Subra, use your magic on it…or just kick it as hard as you can, I’ve found that that works wonders too.”

It was weird hearing someone say they were going to 'kill' the youma, but...well, she supposed it was true. And it was something they couldn't get around. It was a monster, and it was trouble, and they couldn't afford to let innocent people get hurt. So...killing/destroying/whatever the youma it was.
"I gotta hit it! My magic is better for helping people sneak up on others!" She couldn't use it on herself, she'd found, but she was okay with that. She was more than happy to show what she could do, though. She might have been a kid still, but...well, if the enemy couldn't move, and she rammed into them...
Subra grinned, and promptly ran into the thing as if she was in a football game, attempting to take advantage of its inability to brace itself to knock it over.

Lenka grinned. “Well, then your magic will work best for you when you’re in groups, so that’s good to know, and you should really stick with other senshi then!” Her grin only grew when the other chibi kicked the youma...sometimes youma fighting was so satisfying it just...ugh. She loved being able to take out her aggression in a worry free setting.
“That was a great shot, Subra! Just a few more, I think and we’ll be done with this joker.” Lenka ran over and kicked the youma with all of her strength, just as her attack finished, so the full force of her boot connected with the youma.
The creature really wasn’t looking well at all now, and with Lenka’s kick, it shrieked even louder, writhing. It was clear that it wasn’t going to last much longer under the barrage of chibi feet.
“We’re almost there, Subra, we’re doing awesome~”

Seeing and hearing the youma going down, there was an odd rush in it. Subra couldn't help the smile that crept onto her lips, and she moved to kick the youma again. "These things need to just...go away! And not come back!" They were a danger to people who didn't have powers like senshi and knights did! And that the Negaverse summoned them was just...bad! And wrong! And not nice! And she was going to help make them go away! To stop summoning youma! That horrible future wasn't happening!

Lenka didn’t offer to help again, she didn’t need to. Hoestly, seeing the other chibi working so hard…and even looking like she was enjoying herself made her terribly proud. “You got it, you really got it, that’s awesome!
The youma let out a pathetic cross between a howl and a croak and shuddered, and might have almost made Lenka start feeling bad, almost…but the it gave another shudder and dissolved into a nice pile of dust.
The eternal chibi blinked and grinned, crossing the steps over to Subra, stepping right in the youma dust as she did so and hugging the other girl. “You did it! We did it! Thanks to us, that’s at least one person who won’t get hurt tonight! You did so good! Ah! I’m so excited!”
Battles were always so fun, you had to admit…there was always just…a rush from them. Knowing that you were responsible for keeping the city safe and protecting people…it was so great.

She...she won. Subra was a little out of breath, a little tired...but she'd won. After a few seconds, a smile spread across her face. "I won!" She'd taken on a youma, with only a little help, and won! To say the chibi senshi was giddy was an understatement. "I did it, Lenka!" She practically bounced out of her own boots, jumping up and down a bit. "Oh, Massy won't believe this! He'll be so impressed!" And maybe proud of her. Oh she hoped...
