Trying to find her place in the Negaverse was...hard. Even with what Buddingtonite had told her. But she was determined to find it. And she'd finally, maybe, figured something out. Something that played to her strengths and what she was good at, even with her inability to focus on a single thing at once. Then again...tactics needed the level of multi-tasking she needed to be engaged in. So who better to broach her idea to than the one who'd brought her into the Negaverse? She'd managed to get a message out to him, to meet up with him [really, those little crystals they got were useful!], and had been waiting in the designated area when the man dressed in a santa suit had just...given her the box and gone on his merry way.
Sphalerite, bundled up in the trenchcoat she reserved for wear when it was cold and she was in uniform, tucked the bag with her new tablet-computer under her seat and started to investigate the box, trying to determine if it was going to be a danger or not. When it seemed that it wasn't...she set the package on the ground and still eyed it warily.
Friendly she was, and usually fairly trusting, but...well, you had to be kind of stupid if you just accepted a package from a costumed stranger at face value. [Information was an entirely different story, especially when said information was backed by the news and such.]

The entire month of December was not a favored one for one General Buddingtonite, though it had little to do with the usual hustle and madhouse that was the holiday season. No, he never truly cared for that holiday much and the only thing that mattered to him during this time was making a profit. Sugar Shanty was back in the swing of things and it had pretty much devoured his life this month, which... ultimately wasn't so bad. He was busy, both in mind and in body, so there wasn't time to think about her.
Drop it.
It was hard. He cringed as he could feel the slightest of movement of that memory to the forefront of his mind. Thankfully, it was shot down fairly quickly, though he wasn't sure who to thank for that feat. He wanted to thank Sphalerite as she had called to him and managed to pry his attention away, and not so much the nagging voices that honestly felt they were doing him a great service. Yes, better to thank Sphalerite... so he chose that, and that was that!
He was well on his way to the designated drop point and he would have arrived sooner, had he not been assaulted by a rogue Santa Claus. Though, assaulted was a harsh word- it was actually that he was approached, told "Merry Christmas" in that over the top jolly fat man voice, and a gifted box was thrust into his hands. Before Buddingtonite could so much as chide him for giving the Negaverse general a good scare, he was gone, just like that. It was almost as though he hadn't existed at all! But obviously he had to have, because he was still holding a box...
This is a mistake waiting to happen.
He gave the box a little shake and couldn't tell what it was.
Or it could be something awesome.
Either way, he was stuck with it now, and it might not have been such a bad thing. If anything, it gave him an impromptu gift for his lieutenant, and never one to look a gift horse in the mouth, he finally reached her and wasted no time. He tipped his hat, all the while bringing the box with the unknown contents to her. "Merry Christmas, my dear Sphalerite! May all your seasons be bright and jolly and... so on."

Seeing and hearing the General made Sphalerite perk up, grin on her face.
"Happy Holidays to you as well, sir! I hope you've been well!" She was quick to stand up, giving him a quick salute [it so wasn't military-grade at all]. "I have a couple of things for you, both of which I hope don't turn out to be a disaster." Especially the plan she had with her new tablet-PC. She was really proud of it, and it fit how she thought perfectly. The information she could gather would give the Negaverse a wonderful tactical advantage if she could gather enough information...
The box, however...She eyed the one she'd gotten suspiciously.

"Sir? Why, there is no need for such formalities, Sphalerite, my dear!" Buddingtonite immediately scoffed in lieu of formality, though he made sure to keep his award-winning smile plastered on his face, just to let her know that he wasn't taking the whole matter too seriously himself. It had been awhile since he had seen her, and though he wasn't the one that thrust his hands into his chest to awaken her, he did feel a certain sense of attachment to the little recruit. "It's the holidays and such matters are to be brushed aside for the time being. In fact, I'll make that an order! Obey your general!"
That, too, was spoken in jest and he hoped that she'd play along. If Mica awakening her had some adverse affect, then this was a grave mistake indeed! His interests piqued immensely when she mentioned have something for him and distracted him from the mystery gift he held in his hand. "I'm sure they're not all THAT bad... well, unless their vegan, in which case I'll gladly try, just don't be disappointed if I make a gagging sound. Well, would you like to offer first, or should I?"
He didn't blame her for being suspicious, though, not in the least. But he'd be lying if he wasn't curious himself!

The Lieutenant couldn't help the giggle that escaped her, the girl nodding. "I can certainly do that, Buddingtonite!" She paused right after saying that, wrinkling her nose. "That's way too long. What else can I call you?" If she was supposed to be less formal...'Buddingtonite' definitely was way too long.
"And oh jeez, no. If I'm gonna make someone food, I make sure to ask important stuff like preferences." She took a deep breath, then nudged the box and picked it up from the ground. "I can. I uh...I got this, and I suppose I'm supposed to give it to the next person I see. Which would be you. And I'm really hoping it's something nice and not something horrible."
