Erionda's hair caught in the breeze. She had added beads to her hair recently and liked the change the braids and beading added. Accompanied by her two close companions and the tiny bug on her shoulder Erionda was more ok with searching the Orderites territory than she would have been years ago.
With Lilith partially grown Erionda felt the tug at her heart. Just like her parents everyone she had ever loved had left her for another. Cast her aside like she meant nothing to them. She doubted they even grieved over the fact she was no longer in their lives.
Reaching up to rest her hand on the rough bark over her head, Rio ducked under it. Making sure her hair and horns didn't catch on any of the foliage. The last time she had been to Serenia was to learn how to fight. in the end perhaps she had been done a favor by being left alone out here at that time. Then again, her mind remembered who she had met at that very time. Shaking her head free of the very painful memories Rio moved forward.
She wasn't sure what it really was that she was looking for. Just something to fill her mind, herbs maybe. It was hard to grow things on the frozen continent and a huge part of her yearned to be near the orderites and the dovaa. Having kept herself isolated from all the races for so long it was rare to see the powerful hybrid moving about, especially when she was so far from the home she had worked so hard to build.
Something in the trees caught her attention. Letting her hand drop from the branch over her head to the hilt on her hip. Rio's reflexes reacted, she didn't have much intention of really using her sword. There was no point in fighting anyone or anything. If they wanted her head, they could have it.
A small bird took flight in the distance and Rio let out her breath as she released her hand from her blade, Why she even brought the weapon in the first place was a mystery to her. Maybe she felt it was just part of her, she very well couldn't just leave it at home.

While Feleti was not exactly scouting, the young khehorra would have told anyone he was. He pounced at the slightest movement, prancing and pawing at the ground. Since he'd hatched, the little khehorra had found life a constant adventure.
He was new enough to the world that when he spotted a bird take off in the distance, he stared in wonder. For a long moment, he stood like that. It must be a wonderous thing, truly, to fly!
He noticed something, tensing. He hesitated, and then pounced: in Erionda's direction.

Turning from the direction of the bird, it wasn't long before Erionda was joined by Uassae who paused to sniff in the birds direction.
As alright as I am with your blatant desire to ignore the world around you. I smell something that smells like me... Uassae mumbled over their mental connection. Turning to face the strange scent before lifting a paw in surprise as a tiny oddly colored version of himself seemed to jump out at them.
Erionda gave a puzzled expression as she turned to see what her oldest companion was talking about. She had never come across another creature with his particular morph in all her life. Nor did she expect to come across a Khehorian out here. Did he mean someone with his scent?
Jumping a little as something tumbled into view Rio gave a soft half smile. It was a baby. How long ago had it hatched? Couldn't be that old from the look of the wings. Did that mean it was too young to understand speech? If that was the case, where was the mother. Those were a dangerous kind to run across and she wasn't in the mood to be picking a fight with some overprotective creature.
The hybrid shifted back to get a better look at the little one. Bending down at her knees she softly cooed. "Well now, a bit far from your nest aren't you little one. You are cute though."

He'd found something! Feleti was thrilled with his discovery, wiggling in excitement. He had never seen a creature quite like Erionda before. He took a step closer, hesitating. There was something that smelled vaguely familiar, but he couldn't comprehend what it was.
He sat, allowing her to observe. He was just as curious, tilting his head at her. What was she? She wasn't like him! And she was making noises! They were nice sounds. He pressed his muzzle to her.

Taken off guard as the small hatchling pressed into her knee, Erionda couldn't help the half smile that had escaped her. It had been the first time in a very long time the hybrid had smiled. As if to offer a sort of reassurance she wasn't going to hurt the small one she reached out to stroke the top of it's head slowly. Her movements were obvious and slow. She didn't want to frighten the little one and gain the wrath of the mother. That would end in horrible situations. From her knowledge she had yet to find a Drakien that didn't like meat and she had a bit bundled with her. Reaching into the bag at her hip Erionda produced a small portion of meat. Moving it towards the small creatures nose the hybrid placed the food on the ground. "I wonder if your hungry yet. Bet you haven't tasted cooked meat yet." Turning to her older Drakien Erionda spoke over the bond. "What is her element?" "mmm hard to tell, I think it's an Aeduan like myself... but... you wouldn't tell from the coloring... the scent of magic is familiar which leads me to think that way. But you know as well as I color doesn't tell the magic that it holds."

Feleti didn't know enough about the world to be frightened: he was curious, he was wide eyed, ooh, that felt nice! The khehorra moved to nose her hand genntly, using the same slow, deliberate actions he had just observed her using. He wasn't sure why she was moving slowly, but they could make a game out of it!
He smelled food. The youngster's nostrils twithed, taking in the scent. He watched, carefully, as she set the food on the ground. He pounced in an instant, chewing and swallowing noisily. This was good! Was there more? He looked up at Erionda expectantly.

Erionda gave a half-hearted chuckle at the small creatures reaction. It had been a long time since she had seen the reactions of hatchlings. Perhaps it was hungry. Reaching back into her bag she produced yet another handful of meat for the young creature. Moving less slowly this time. It didn't seem like anything she was going to do, could scare the little one off anytime soon. She still had to be careful though, with one so young were was the mother? the rest of the clan? She had had instances in the past where one small one had emerged only to later bombard her with several larger ones later.
The hybrid shivered at the memory. Stroking the little one once again. The young hatchling were so interesting.
Feeling a slight jab in her conscious from Lanzecki Erionda turned to give him a reassuring smile. Yes he was still adorable most of the time.

Feleti knew the food was there before he saw it. He watched Rio reach into her bag, squirming excitedly. This was good! Where did she get this stuff? He nosed her hand, taking and eating the proffered meat. He watched her for more, tilting his head. Was there more? There was more, wasn't there, in that bag of hers? He moved to investigate, attempting to look within it.
He allowed her to stroke him, pausing and looking up from the treasure that was the hybrid's bag, to see what she had looked at. He stared, eyes widening in surprise--and in caution. It was clear he was seeing something for the first time; something like him! He moved to hide behind Rio, shivering. That thing, whatever it was, it was big, and scary.

Rio remained silent though curious as the small hatchling skittered around her. Looking off into the same direction the hybrid smirked. There seemed to be a strange reaction when the little one saw her morphed Khehorian. Uassae was as harmless as they came, he was more of the father figure to everyone than anything else. Uassae lowered himself to a less menacing level as he caught hold of Erionda's thoughts. He did not want to appear so scary to the little one, mothers had a way of being very defensive about all sorts of things. Snorting he nosed in the babies direction. "It's too bad we can't just take him home with us." Erionda mused, as she stroked the hatchling again. "Are you able to sense any adult Khehorah nearby?" Uassae closed his eyes and sniffed at the air. Eventually shaking his head in frustration. "They must be excellent at camouflage. I can't sense anything.
