Aaja was walking around, and trying the best she possibly could to remember where the heck everything was. There was no point in denying it, Aajamaak was clumsy. Most of her siblings were. But the way Aajamaak's clumsiness manifested wasn't that she was most likely to drop things, or ran into things while trying to avoid them. Her clumsiness had gone and developed into a complete lack of direction.

Aajamaak didn't know which was way was north and which way was south. She could barely remember how to get to anywhere within the pride save for her den, the sole location she could recollect how to get back to. Everything else was like a maze to her, and in her most recent of frustrations Aaja sat down in the middle of lions travelling this way and that attempting to recall where she had been trying to go to begin with.

She sighed in frustration. Why was it so difficult to remember where everything was when normal lions understood perfectly where to go?

Rust had been having a lot of strange things happen recently, but at least she managed to meet a few lions in the pride that gave her hope not all males here were rude and grumpy, ill mannered or down right evil. It put her in a pretty good mood, all things considered.

Though she continued to worry about her brother and his illness. She was not sure what else she could do for him, but she was keeping a close eye on him just in case he got worse instead of better.

Spotting her sister, the family resemblance easy to pick out most of the time, Rust wandered over to her and frowned. It looked like Aaja was having some sort of problem, though Rust was not immediately sure what it was. More family drama was not something she wanted to take on, but she could not help but worry about everyone.

"You okay, sis?" she asked, as she padded up. "You look stressed out."

Looking up, Aaja smiled in glee when Rust walked over to her. She might have had a lot of siblings but they all looked quite similar, and the similarity was a breath of fresh air to Aaja. At least she could remember who was who this way. Besides, seeing fellow family members somehow always managed to cheer her up.

"Oh no, I'm fine." She told her sister who seemed concerned. "I'm just trying to remember where I was heading. Wandering in circles three times kind of makes you forget." She laughed lightly at this.

Aajamaak had a lot on her plate. She was trying to improve her skills as a healer purely for the sake at this point of ensuring that her friend's brothers didn't murder each other. Those two seemed to always be at each others throats and Aaja couldn't help but to sigh at the thought of both of them. So she had set off this morning in search of either herbs or had intended to go find another healer and have her home-made medicines judged by them. Both missions seemed important to her and now she was struggling to decided on which one she'd rather pursue.

"Oh but, how are you?" She asked Rust. It had been a bit since they'd last seen each other, and Aaja was curious as to her siblings well-being.

Rust shook her head, laughing a bit. They always had to deal with their genes, some more than others. Bad luck and awkwardness seemed to run in the family, and she was lucky to have avoided most of it. Sure, she had her moments, too, but she knew other members of her family, like Odfel, had it a lot harder.

She took it upon herself to look out for them, just in case. She wanted her family to be safe and happy, after all, and sometimes this place was not really conducive to that.

"I'm doing well. Been looking after our brother, Odd. He's got some sort of illness, I'm not sure what it is. I was trying to find him some more herbs to help him feel better."

After that, she was not sure what she would do. Maybe look for a Reaver and try to become one herself, though she wanted to be a different kind of one that did not... well. She had manners, after all. But there were other things pressing in her mind, like the male she had met not too long ago.

Really, she wanted to see him again.

"Oh what a coincidence!" She laughed. "That's what I was doing! Looking for herbs too!" She then wore a concerned frown on her face. Hmm. She hadn't even known that Odd was sick. Well, if anyone could fix it, that was Rust. Aaja had full confidence in her sister that she'd be able to heal their brother in a matter of days.

If there was one thing that she lacked confidence in however it was that she wasn't a good fighter and thus not a good reaver. No, actually, she thought hard enough on it she was a good fighter. It was just that everyone else were so persistent and mean about it they made Aaja look bad. So she opted not to become a reaver because of that.

Besides, some reavers could be pretty nasty. She didn't want to become a nasty person just to fit in.

"Oh right!" She returned back to the thoughts of herb-searching. "Do you think you could show me where the best herbs grow? I can't seem to remember how to get there.."

Rust smiled and chuckled, though inside she was hoping the reason Aaja was looking for herbs did not have to do with her being sick, too. Rust was not sure she could look after two of them at one time, and Odd was already demanding a lot of attention.

Though she was not sure if that was because he was so sick, or because he was a big baby.

"Well I'm not really good with herbs. That's sort of Odd's area, but he told me what to look for, and I can show you where I've found some of those? The herbs seem to be helping him feel stronger and get some proper sleep, at the very least, but I'm not much of a healer."

She would leave that the more gentle dispositions in her family, while she played the protector. She liked her job, anyway, as she wanted to make sure her family was safe and happy, and did her best to be there for them.

"They were over this way, there were a lot of different herbs there but I only picked the one he told me to get."

Aaja shrugged. "You know where to find the herbs that's better then what I can do." She wasn't ashamed per say, but Aaja looked a little frustrated and issued a sigh to go along with it. Her and her cursed feet kept her from finding the herbs to begin with. She wondered how much a lost healer was worth when they were exactly that. lost.

"I'd appreciate it if you could show me the way!" She told Rust in a less spiteful tone. Rust had done nothing wrong, and she was busy taking care of Odd, who was probably complaining more then he needed to anyways. She was trying at best to limit her frustrations and cause less stress and grief for her sister. Her feet were her problem, she'd just learn to live with it.

She was thankful for although she had no idea where she was walking, her memory was not flawed. "Lot's of different herbs?" She hummed over thinking what they were called. When no answers sprung to mind Aaja decided she would wait until they both arrived where the herbs grew, and then she'd be able to see for herself what they were.

Rust smiled. She knew the genetic code of this family often presented a lot of obstacles to be overcome, but she also knew that most of her siblings were very hard workers, and just suffered some unfair shortcomings. She had faith that they would all succeed when they put their minds to it, though, and was hoping to be helpful in some way to any of them that needed her.

Rust did not mind, then, when her sister got a little negative about her abilities, offering her a reassuring smile. She nodded her head in the direction they were traveling, to show her where the herbs were.

It didn't take long to retrace her steps, and she found a little clearing that had a lot of different plants sprouting from the ground and rocks. They were different colors, and she imagined they all had their own properties, but she only knew the one she had been gathering for Odd, and none others. Still, it seemed like a good place to learn more about herbs and things.

"See? This is what I meant. They're all over the place."

"Wow!" Aaja was stunned. Herbs and plants crawling out the rocks, it was a paradise for those in the field of healing. "This is incredible!" she exclaimed, examining the different colors and muttering the names of the plants quickly under her breath. She then got a little louder when voicing the different things each plant did. "If that one is placed in water then... and oh! if this one is eaten raw... But this one isn't good if you rub it on injuries..." She smiled widely, nearing some of the herbs and looking them over as she spouted more nonsense in glee. She was pleased with Rust's discovery of this place.

Or maybe she had Odd to thank. Either way, Aaja was impressed.

"Thank you!" She beamed. "I would have never found this place by myself. You're a life-saver sis!" She affectionately rubbed against Rust before continuing to rush around the patch of herbs.

Finally, she found one she seemed to like more then the rest. Or need. Yes, need, she most certainly needed this one. Aaja had no doubts that if she grounded it into powder then she'd be able to test it in several different of her potions and healing lotions.

Rust smiled and listened intently, though she doubted she would remember any of what her sister was telling her in a few days. Her mind was just not built for this kind of studying, but she was impressed that Aaja seemed to know so much.

"Sounds to me like you've learned a lot already. I'm glad this place will help."

She chuckled and returned the nuzzle, watching as Aaja returned to bouncing around the plants and looking them over. To Rust, they were just plants, but clearly they were more to Aaja, and opened a door for her.

"Well, I'm glad you like this. I'll keep my eyes open for any other places like this, and let you know if I find more good areas for plants and things. For now, I should probably head back and see how Odd's doing. I have a feeling he's just pretending it's worse than it is at this point."

She sighed and rolled her eyes.

Aaja laughed. "That seems a lot like something Odd would do!" She nodded towards her sister baring a joyful grin. So Rust was leaving, but she felt no panic or urge to make her stay. Even if Aaja got lost again in attempting to find another a healer, or make her way back to her den even she was certain she was going to be alright.

She was confident that she'd be fine.

So as Rust turned to leave, Aaja shouted to her a goodbye and then went back to staring at the plants and herbs.

A doorway had opened indeed, this was a maze of wonderful opportunities. Promising solutions to the mixtures and cures she was driven to make. Least to say Aaja was in a much better mood then before. Even her own feet and family genetics of a curse couldn't bring that down.

"Now." She spoke her thoughts aloud. "Which one was I looking for again?"
