He bandaged his leg and grumbled it was getting dark and he had lost most of his time in fruitless attempts. He decided to camp in the tree and get going in the morning. As the sun lightened up the canopy Kiyelt awoke to the haunting calls of the Jauhar forest. He could get used to this. This was a good place for a Beast Charmer if it was a little hot, but it seemed that all the creatures he was interested in besides his sailscales, were from hotter climates sadly for his icling self but he was getting used to the heat he thought. He didn’t sweat quite so much anymore which was a relief for clothing maintenance. Well nothing was getting done slouching in this tree. He checked his wound which was doing nicely, not a terrible bit, a little shreddy a little painful but overall not so bad, he could walk without a limp which was ideal for working with such strong predators. He sank to the forest floor and picked up another trail which led to some scat and what Kiyelt thought was a den. He vacated that area only to come face to face with what he thought was an angry father or uncle of the young. It snarled and Kiyelt slowly unwound his whip this time though when it connected solidly the grouchy parent didn’t care he snapped at Kiyelt’s heals and he had to make another embarrassing hasty retreat into the trees. Well he knew this was not going to be an easy task hadn’t he? On to the next area, he wouldn’t want to take a father anyway. Word Count: 276
