The Great Glasscapade Begins Jan 5th
Marver, the Glassmaker, has lost a whole box of breeding glasses! That or he suspects it may have been stolen. Either way, he needs you to search the island and recover as many of the glasses as you can- before something happens to them! You're welcome to strike it out own your own or grab a pal for the journey.
MOVING ABOUT THE MAP & RP:Since there is a smaller amount of you I have upped the daily (EACH DAY ENDS 12AM CST) section choices to two! Also, you don't have to RP your choices. So your first post can say you're at B7 and the second F7, but your pet may be hanging out in the swamps for both parts! That is because we want you all to have fun RPing and interacting with one another more than sticking to the game choices. If you feel you have to do that, though, have at it! So just stick to the prompt of finding glass and have fun!
When you're picking your two sections be sure to post at the top of your post in a bright color where you're picking, then fill out the post for your Pet! You're welcome to post multiple times a day to keep the roleplay going, but only allowed to pick two spots on the map (game wise) a day.
PRIZES:Of course there is one grand prize for whomever finds the most glass at the end of the event, but there are also little prizes to be found on the island! Here is the list:
- Familiars - CC Edits (Colorists get to pick some edits for whatever pet you throw at them) - Semi Accessories Edit (You give colorists a general idea of an accessory you want for a pet.)
The edits aren't limited to the pets in this event- instead you can hold on to them for pets in the future or use them right after the event. You're able to receive either two edit items from this event and one familiar or three edit items- no more than one familiar can be won. The nice thing though is if you have three items already and land on something you really want- you can totally swap out! Then the item you swapped with will land on that spot for someone else to go after.
This event is open for everyone- even those who don't have pets yet! Head over to the sign up section to visualize a pet for this ORP event and they may have a chance at becoming real! You need to be reasonable with your idea though.
~ Post a section choice post only twice a day! If you do more than two and do not correct it before the end of the day, both of your moves will be ignored. You're welcome to RP continuously throughout the day if you want though! ~ The darkened areas on the map are unavailable please don't choose them. ~ You may only win 3 map prizes- not including the main prize! So keep on gathering the glass even if you've won your 3 prizes (you can have only one familiar)! ~ The one who finds the most glass at the end of the event wins the grand prize! Depending on the amount of people who sign up there may be additional grand prizes. ~ You're welcome to join in on the ORP at any time, just be sure you post in the sign up thread before you post! This way we can keep tabs on who is playing. If you don't post in the sign up section your prizes may be missed! ~ Please put some effort into your posts! Even if you're not interacting with anyone there is a whole world around you to be interested in! Or other players YOU can start the interaction with! ~ Follow all shop rules!

Fizzle was SO READY to start looking for the glass breeding cup thingers that Marver had lost. Sure, the big hairy lion kept saying they got stolen, but Fizzle knew better! That big oaf totally left them somewhere and she was gonna find them all! She pushed her way through the doors of his hut and into the blinding light. She took a moment to let her eyes adjust and prepare a plan of action.
They had to be close by, right? He couldn't be that forgetful of such a precious package! Then she'd head down to the giant, gurgling volcano! She traveled this area often and wasn't scared of getting buried in lava and dying. Nope, no siree, wait did she feel a rumble? Hmm, no must be her imagination...

Alice had heard the news of Marver's misfortunes by word of mouth, and she had to help him! Bounding out of her den and into the chill of an early morning winter day, filled with the excitement of finding the glasses and helping out a fellow lion. One day she wanted a family of her own, so the importance of finding every single breeding glass meant more than the world to her. Okay, so that is an exaggeration, Alice thought to herself, but honestly finding those breeding glasses were her top priority.
Stretching out her wings, legs, back,and finally her rump, Alice took a deep breath of the fresh air and headed off toward frost peak thinking that perhaps the breeding glasses had been lost while coming down from the volcano, where she had heard that Marver uses the heat to make the breeding glasses.
Eyes opening the lioness looked around her, checking every corner of her cave for something, it wasn't right she was still feeling drowsy and internally she knew this was not her time. By that she meant night, the female had an affinity with the night, her vision and sense excelled when the sun was not around, not that it couldn't work well in the day too. A lifetime of being nocturnal had left her entirely comfortable with her sleeping arrangements but something had roused her, something familiar.
Though it was pitch black she was certain it wasn't in here with her, nothing was these days, Arei moved on, the cubs where bigger now and most had moved on to find their own corner of the isle. It left her restless, having had to comit so much time and energy to them she now had both in abundance so regardless of the time she got to her feet and made her way out of the darkness. Following her senses she squinted and ignored the sun she had to know what that something was and why it had roused her.
Locating it wasn't hard, the black female looked at the other, raising a brow she glared as if this lioness before her was not the answer yet her senses screamed otherwise. "I scent you." Prolinphiya started, abeit a little groggy it was a clear call out to the stranger.

Alice was startled at the voice, as she was lost in thought about the breeding glasses, and came face to face with another black lioness as she turned toward the voice. It sounded tired, as though she had just woken. "You scent me? If I'm a terrible smell, I am sorry to have disturbed you miss," Alice bowed her head in greeting and in apology.
"If I may, is there something I can do to hep you?" she asked genuinely concerned and intrigued. She had never thought about her own scent because she enjoyed others', as weird as it was, but she was her mother's daughter, even if she resembled her father more. Scenting the air, she found this lioness had a scent she hadn't smelled before. It was crisp, soft, and yet strong in a good way, and there was still a delicate touch to the smell. Alice couldn't figure out what her scent reminded her of; it was one she had smelled only once when she was a cub.
Lin tilted her head slightly, studying the lioness, there was something familiar in her, it wasn't obvious and it didn't jump out at her so like the scent she was bewildered and staring. Not that she was a lioness to mind being caught staring, groggy and visibly squinting away the suns light. "I scent it, it leads to you, I don't know you." She frowned clearly not happy about the situation. "You smell familiar, yet you are not." Letting out a long breath she shifted to a more shaded area then her gaze fluttered up to the sun.
"Is this 'normal' time to be awake for you?" The lioness asked curiously, wondering how anyone could enjoy everything being so illuminated. Looked at all the nooks and crannies that would be hidden she thought it must be so awkward to hunt at this time. Though she still wanted to know about this lioness, she didn't think either of them would come to a conclusion any time soon. Now she was awake why not indulge in entertaining herself with another females company, had it been male well... it was unlikely she'd still be here.. or it wouldn't be hurt for confusing her.

Alice tilted her head to the side in confusion, as she listened to this lioness. "I don't know you either, but it's a pleasure to meet you." She sat down on her haunches, finding that she wanted to talk more to this lioness. Even though she knew she was looking for the glasses, Alice felt some sort of kinship to her. "My name is Alice, but if you'd like, you can call me Alli,"she smiled and fixed her braid to go over her shoulder.
"This time of day is odd for me, but I guess it would be normal," she glanced up at the sun with her sky blue eyes, and had to squint. "But I feel more alive at night, and sometimes I think my father does too," she shrugged and studied the lioness. "These moons," she motioned to the bracelet on her wrist and the pin on her head band, "Glow more at night too. The sun dulls them," she explained it simply without getting into too many details. To be honest, Alice couldn't explain the why; it was a mystery to her. "Is this an odd time for you to be out and about?" she asked curiously.

"Alli, very good, Prolinphiya" She chuckled slightly the length of her name had been hard for most mouths to get around since she'd not been part of the tribe, it was not a common name that's for sure. "Lin, for most, whatever you please." Lin nodded, she didn't mind what she was called, a name was just a thing, it didn't define her any more thus she was open to any name given to her.
Looking at the braclet and the pin with interest "I like those, I'd like them more at night, maybe one day" She smiled, it was actually awkward and a little creepy but she hadn't meant it to be, she didn't smile much and it kinda showed why. "Yes Lin likes Darkness, easier to hunt... and eyes. If Alli likes night, why is she awake now?" Again her head tilted slightly with the question, now confused why someone would willingly choose to be awake at this time, especially if they, like her, preferred the moon's glow over the sun.
Starla had heard of the chaos through the grape vine, and like all rumors and gossip, the information came to her a bit scattered. It appeared as though ol' man Marver, the Glassmaker, had incurred the wrath of a dragon, who had stolen away multiple glasses. Some said that the glasses had been broken, but others said that the dragon had hid them and then fled, wanting only to tease and taunt the old Glassmaker. It seemed as though many lions and dragons alike were now searching for the glasses, either to try and save them and return them to the care of Marver, or for other purposes.
Being a lion inclined towards motherly dispositions, Starla wanted the glasses found and returned to Marver as soon as possible, and she would not allow any harm to come to them. She set out as once, gathering her wits about her, as there was no telling who she might meet on this journey of hers.
The first place she went to look was the first place she thought of where she herself might hide a glass. She almost wished she wouldn't find anything in the area, granted that it was not a place that was fit for a glass to remain, but she had to be sure. She would be searching about the deeper more chaotic waters of the Crystal Springs, specifically along their shores. How tragic would it be if she found one of the glasses turned over into the water? No, no, she mustn't think about that. She would find a glass before any harm came to it, she had to.

Then here is the mouse familiar you have picked up! Kinda looks like a poison dart frog... Anyways, hold on to it till the end of the event! You may wanna trade it in for another prize at some point!
Inspecting the foliage at the edge of the crystal falls the mostly green lion was lost in thought. How he would add this herb to his next dish, how the spice he thought he spied last week would really sprouse up a hearty stew. Ramesy was usually this way, utterly entranced in his 'work', his life dedicated to his art of cooking. Nothing made him do it, no one taught him, he learnt on his own and usually had more than enough to give away. He was but one lion yet cooked for the masses not out of the kindness of his heart but because he would usually get carried away, add a little this, throw in a tad of that.
Today he was collecting, a coconut shell attached to a vine around his waist, a small lid which sprung off with enough pressure from his tail or a wing, was his container. Slowly but surely he was finding and taking samples of things here and there to throw in, tasting some too. Ramsey seemed very picky about what made it into the container and often moved off from a bush or vine shaking his head without paying much attention.
So it was when he had been paying no attention did he turn around, slightly trip on a root of a tree, swear audibly to himself then look round to see if anyone had caught sight of him. With a sigh he spotted a purple and white female and shrugged as he called out "Who put that there huh?". Deciding the best course of action was just to play it cool, make a joke and hopefully not get ridiculed.

Nina had always been drawn to the warmth and scents of the volcano. In spite of, or maybe because of, the possible danger from lava, it was one of her favorite places to be. Now she'd heard that the glassmaker had lost breeding glasses! So of course she had to help him find them! Really, what kind of world would it be if there were no more babies....
Babies were just too adorable to not have anymore, so Nina hunted as best she could
Well... not quite party, in fact the dragon couldn't remember the last party he'd been too, was it really Pip's back in the day? Gosh having cubs had been exhausting for his social life but hey they were growing up nicely and didn't need their silly ol' dads right now. So for the first time in a long while Cael was taking a stroll around the isle, stretching his itchy legs and forfilling his desire to keep moving.
Sure he had a pride, a mate and kids growing up but he'd committed to that for a long time, he needed some space! Wasn't like he was going to get caught up with another male, or join any other pride, even before he'd mated he'd travelled all over bringing back tokens of his journeys for his pride to enjoy. Not that he hadn't enjoyed his homely settled bit, he did, and he was sure he'd enjoy it again, maybe even travel with his mate next time. This time however he'd caught word, over hearing conversations, about some lost smoothies, he couldn't have that! Some of his best friends where lions, he had been blessed with eggs, he thought everyone should get the chance... when they were ready of course!
Continue his travel down the west coast the dragon decided to head in towards the volcano, he did enjoy the view plus the tan possibilities up there were great! It was then he spotted the other dragon, "Howdy there!" he calls out without much regard for his own safety and whether the other would actually want company or not. "Fine day for some glass hunting." Again he'd not waited just called out very confident and comfortable despite only really being able to see the colour of the other near by.
