I would be, depending on how closely we're following the lore and what you want to do specifically! I'm afraid I only vaguely know the Silmarillion. Would we be playing as actual characters or OCs?

Hmmm, playing OC's would be fine with me! c: I would also prefer that we use illustrated pictures for this type of rp! :/ I have such a hard time finding pictures of people that fit the roles. xD
Also, we don't have to fit closely to the lore! c: Heck, we can make things up if you want! I'm just looking for it to be closely related to like...the style and races. Like, hobbits dwarfs, elves, orcs...etc! we can add more races if you would like? and we keep like...the shire, mirkwood and so on! c:
I don't even mind if we make up new places to add on! XD
I'm a very flexible person when it comes to rps and if we stuck to the same story line then there is a chance the story would be dragged out and could get kind of boring in some parts. :s
I'm also one for romance in these types of rps but I like to see them develop over long periods of time. c: It kind of gives it life and more meaning if one of the lovers was to fall in harms way or etc.
I know that's kind of off topic...but I know a lot of people like romance/action rps...so I usually just throw that in somewhere to let them know. xD

Illustrating is fine with me, as long as I can occasionally link anything I might find helpful/accurate for the rp?
I'm fine keeping the current races! So you're basically thinking of a RP set in the Tolkien verse? And did you want this to be an action RP? I'm fairly new with those so I hope you don't mind me constantly asking for advice in the OOC haha!
I'm fine with building romance or something if you'd like! I like characters at least developing deep relationships of some kind, even if they're relationships of hatred lol. (Though I'd rather not our potential characters hate each other haha)
