Reil sat down hard outside the training ring, his body was covered in sweat and he was bleeding a little but from a bruise on his arm. This training was hard stuff, especially in air that he felt he needed to have gills for. How did those who lived here do it? Heat he could handle, he enjoyed it but the humidity! He felt like he was in a sauna but there was no outside! He dragged his wooden practice sword over and snorted in disapointment, it had cracked in the last bought. He would have to drag his tired self over to get a new one. It was not lost on him the irony of playing at battle among those who had fought before for the very land they played on now. He shook his head, not wanting to think to hard about this. So far he hadn't been payed much attention a nod by his fellow Obans the odd look from the others, nothing spectacular, then again he and his brother had only been here one day.

He was lost. That was a really good way of putting it. The blond hair boy didn't know where he was in the slightest bit and he frowned as he sat there, trying to get his barrens with his map and tilted his head this way and that. Rham hmmed a little before sighing hard. Oh well. Folding the map back up and stuffing it in his pocket, the boy in the orange pants got up and stretched himself out before wandering away, a bit of a carefree air about him. His hands went behind his head as he walked and Rham was watching the sky instead of watching where he was going. "Man, I don't even know where I am anymore, and I'm hungry and this is just going to end badly, I can feel it." Talking to himself made Rham feel less alone than he was. Like maybe, just maybe, someone would talk back.

Reillan stood or tried to, in the time he had been sitting his muscles had cooled into rock hard blobs of annoying pain. He stretched them and shuffled along heading for the supply area. His janarim companion not being very stealthy about following him, why it was tagging along he didn't know he thought he might be an amusement to the beast. He paused as a man in orange walked idly by him wondering about where he was...."Um, your in Neued? The Oban settlement." Maybe the man had eaten a few bad mushrooms. Reil tilted his head, he hadn't seen clothes quite like that yet. "Are you um new here? I am too." He wondered if all the others here were like this poor fellow. One too many days in the shade perhaps.

The blond yelped once he heard someone respond to him and he just stared at the dark skinned boy off to the side. He swallowed a little more and just rubbed at his fingers a little in a nervous little manner. Honestly he hadn't expected someone to actually be here, much less knows where he is. Rubbing a hand over his face now, he just grinned and put on his flirtatious smile. Well Oban or not, he was actually pretty cute. "Oh. Uuu, I suppose I've only recently wandered this way, yes. So you're new? Where'd you come from before?" Hopefully he could avoid the question of how he got here, or why he wandered this way. Rham didn't want to answer those because the embarrassing truth of the matter was, he just didn't know. He picked a direction after his last escapade and went with it.

"I came from Oba, with my brother..for family reasons." Reil looked away with a sulky look on his face, some family. "Are you a fan of any particular battle style? I'm curious to what the others are like. But it has always been the sword for me." He wondered why this lad had chosen to wear orange he hadn't seen anyone else wearing orange, but he looked like some of them..maybe he was from an obscure tribe? He seemed cheerful enough and had done Reil the courtesy of answering him. He respected that.

Family reasons. Rham squinted at the other and just tilted his head to the side and then shrugged. "All I know about fighting is I'm really good at hiding. Fighting? Not so much. I got in some trouble a bit ago with some market person and a sprite that decided to get me in trouble by stealing and it was just.." Rham waved his hand, eyes rolling to show just how much he enjoyed that. "So basically I don't know anything."

"A great pity, the sword is something I know best. I have been practicing for a long time with the wooden sparring swords. I haven't done a whole lot else with my life except move to Jauhar with my brother. He wants to be a dancer so he can only help me so much with practice, mostly he acts like a target and siddles around while it work on my footwork." Reil patted the other mans shoulder, "So have you figured out what you want to do when you are no longer a prentice?" He ran over what he knew about the other boy, not a lot. "Music perhaps? Going into the mercantile trade?" Something that didn't involve weapons probably. He strove to find something in common with the lad..it was not going well. "Er..how 'bout them ladies around here, pretty eh?" Guy talk...guy talk would work. Even some of the men were good looking but that was more Keelthy's area of expertice.

"I'm not so good with my hands when it comes to instruments. Mercantile trade sounds up my alley. Or messenger. I like being on the move. Moving from one place to another." Rham just grinned, somehow appearing even more boyish than usual. "I like exploring, and visiting new places and talking to people and learning things. Being a trader could actually do that, and it's... a bit more practical than running messages, but who knows. I.. I've tried to think about it, but it's all in the wind for now." He seriously needed to do something. He wouldn't be a prentice much longer, he knew that. "Er.. Well." Ladies. He didn't really.. "I mean, I look at them but I don't.." Rham looked a little sheepish, toying with his blond hair and then toyed with his ear. "I only just got here and I'm not looking for someone?"

"Messengers are very important as are the merchants which can also carry information, I send letters with them. Its a versatile buisness by nature I think, since you can trade pretty much anything. It all depends on what you can carry. They would be doubly important in the more remote cities which would be interesting to see wouldn't you say?" "Fair enough, fair enough I haven't been here long either, but well I can't help but look and wonder once in a while. So, where do you think this wind will carry you next, will you be here for long?'

"Mm. I wonder but I don't put too much thought into it." The boy rubbed his nose a little and shivered slightly. "About.. girls. I don't even know if I like girls or anything? Or boys or.. anyone." But he did flash a big smile over at the other and a small wink. "Doesn't stop me from flirting. "As for the where I'm going next..." He hummed and opened up his arms. "That's open for anything to happen. I might stick around here for a while, though. I haven't been here before and so far I think I like it." Yes, he knew about the tensions here, but honestly? The Oban hadn't done anything to him personally so why should he get up in arms about it. It's.. probably not the most popular way to look at things, and probably would get him hurt in the long run, but he'd just go with it until he was proven wrong.

"You remind me a lot of my brother, it would be so nice to feel so free. And I suppose I kind of am, it just doesn't really feel like it. My path has been so obvious for so long that having one part of my life shooken feels like I could loose my path too, and I don't want to, thats why I train with the sword so much, I don't want to let it go." This poor lad probably had no clue what he was talking about and it was sort of hard to explain more. "What um, what were your parents like?" he asked, wondering if all families had issues like his had, uncles verses nephews who didn't comform to the rules, or rather one nephew, his twin brother.

"Aah, I haven't... had anything shaken, really. So I'm sorry that it feels that way.." The blond tilted his head to the side and just looked off ward as he thought about his journey. It'd been wild. He'd met friends, caused mischief, and managed to make enemies at the same time. Grinning to himself, he looked at the Oban with a blink. His parents? He... actually hadn't seen them in some time. "Well... Uh.." He rubbed his neck softly before taking a breath. "I guess they're pretty normal. Love each other, you know? Mom makes clothes and dad wanders off or something. I don't know what he does, exactly. Mom said it was important and that's why he was hardly around. But they weren't separated or anything. But yeah, they loved each other. There was a little fighting, but from what I know? That was normal. We traveled with this group we weren't really apart of. We were really close to a lot of members in it though. Had my best friend in that group. Kyrian. I haven't seen him in... well years, really." The blond just laughed and shrugged helplessly. "Our lives took us down different paths."

"Kyrian is a nice name, is he of your tribe?" It interested him to learn about the different peoples. "Which tribe is yours anyway? Do they also live here? All of my other friends are Obans so I feel sadly uneducated in the tribes of tendaji, and since I live here its only right that I learn more don't you think? Least I put my foot in my mouth." Well they couldn't talk about war so they would talk about talk. Keelthy would approve his adaptability he was sure. What would it be like to wander freely over all of Tendaji...wouldn't it be wonderous. He shivered a little in a cool breeze that came upon them suddenly. Odd to have a cool breeze in a rainforest. Yikes.

"Not part of my group, but he's my... race, I guess? Wind." He nodded and just grinned. "He's a god person. We explored caves together, got some glowing crystals. I often camped with him and we stayed up all night talking..." Rham just grinned a little more and situated himself more comfortably, stretching his arms above his head and groaning. "Mmm. I should probably find somewhere to camp out tonight. Getting pretty stiff and tired from my walk here. It's finally catching up, you know?"

"Glowing crystals you say? Do you have them with you? May I perhaps take a peek? They sound rather interesting to me." "Ah well, if you are in need of lodgings for the night your welcome to share our shanty for a night or two, that is if you don't mind sleeping with a janarim feet away. He sleeps right beside me, I don't know why but so far he hasn't tried to roll on me yet, for that I am grateful." He grinned happily. "Our shanty isn't that big but I'm sure we could rearrange it somewhat to accomodate you as well. He wasn't that worried about housing a stranger, if this lad got away with anything under 3 sets of eyes it was to be aplauded, but there was no certainty that he was even of the light fingered sort and they didn't really have that much of interest to theives anyway and all the reason not too steal due to Xarthin's giant toothy presence. It put them in a position to be hospitable without worry and that made him feel really good about his position in Jauhar.
