School was exhausting.
Not just mentally exhausting, but physically exhausting, and also Ivy's backpack weighed something like ten pounds and she wasn't strong and her shoulders felt like four sorts of death? Not that she was complaining, of course! But she was, really, and she knew it. Three PM on a Friday, and even if school was out for the weekend, Ivy Sutors was pretty sure she'd died a little bit around one PM when her Biology teacher had assigned her to a five-person group project. (She really didn't care that much about mitosis? She couldn't touch it, it was more of an imaginary concept than anything, literally nobody cared except the teacher but also she liked passing the class and and and --)
So caught up was she in this terrible mental tangent that Ivy absolutely, completely, didn't notice she was about to walk into what could only be best described as the result of a coconut tree's one night stand with a six-legged alligator.

"Look out!" From around the corner, Glitnir called out to the civilian that was about to walk directly into the weird palm tree-six-legged-alligator hybrid. Tackling the girl out of harm's way wouldn't do much more than draw the thing's aggro to both of them, so the alternative was to focus on the youma instead. Using all his Knight-enhanced speed, he sped towards the youma and swung his scales at it. "Quick, get away before it comes for you!" That might have been unnecessary, as the thing was now rightly angry and focused on him, but getting the civilian out of danger was important.

Ivy made a face at Glitnir's call -- admittedly, by her own thoughts, anyone would make that face at a strange man wearing attire completely unsuited for the season and wielding a scale -- a face best described as 'I can't believe what I'm seeing'. (The face might have been more aimed at the youma, but it was hard to tell, they were both in the same general direction.) Directly following the face, Ivy squeaked and threw herself to the side, looking for all the world like she'd been told that Satan was real and he hated her in particular.

Glitnir knew that face, the face of a disbelieving civilian. He had once made that very expression, right before he had been awakened as a Knight. Part of him hoped that this girl wouldn't see much more that would shatter her picture of the world than this, but he had a feeling that one encounter with Destiny City's bizarre tended to lead to another. He swung his scales at the youma's palm tree parts, breaking some "branches" and shaking some dust loose. This youma didn't seem particularly strong, much to his relief, though the teeth from its open mouth were more worrying. "Go further away! I've almost got this thing!" he said as he moved his leg out of the way just barely in time to avoid a nasty bite.

Ivy nodded, face pale - she wasn't quite sure what this was, but the fact there was someone attacking it implied evil: with a body like that, how would it be good? She scrambled up from the ground, booked it around the corner to someplace where she couldn't be seen, and whispered "Warhol Power, Make Up!" while simultaneously dropping her backpack and withdrawing her henshin pen from the former -- and a few seconds later, there was a basic-level Senshi dashing around the corner, murmuring "Warhol Mood Reversal" and grabbing a glowing orb from her brooch. Then she chucked it at the monster, because <******** off, she wanted to go home and take a nap; being attacked by a monster had not been in her plans. And powered up, the monster distinctly pinged on Warhol's mental radar as something dark and evil, so she'd had the right idea. Quote: Sailor Scout Attack: Warhol Mood Reversal! Action: Sailor Warhol crosses her hands over her brooch, and it creates an approximately tennis-ball-sized ball of colorful energy that falls into her hands. She then throws the ball at the enemy. Effect: If this attack connects, it temporarily reverses the enemy's primary emotion for twenty seconds; i.e., bravery to cowardice. This attack does not affect emotions other than the primary, so the affected may find reason in their other emotions. Limitations: This attack can be used twice per battle, but requires a few seconds of concentration and the ability to throw. If it fails to hit an entity, it will dissolve into an iridescent glitter upon contact with anything.

The new aura brushed against Glitnir's senses, and soon he became aware of a basic senshi in the vicinity. The senshi chucked a ball of energy at the monster, causing a few chunks of dust to fall off it, though it wasn't down yet. It began to behave oddly at that point; it had been aggressive before, but now seemed afraid and unwilling to attack, scurrying away from Glitnir. He could have let it go, but decided not to. The less youma crawling around the city, the better. He swung his scale at the retreating creature but only caught its tail, causing it to run in a different direction. "Help me finish it off!" He wasn't sure if the new senshi was connected to the girl from before. Perhaps she had escaped and the senshi had come? At least she was safe now.

"I still don't know what that does," Warhol complained quietly, but she took Glitnir's lead, trying to corner the youma, kicking it as it scurried; and when it hit a wall, slowly hesitating and turning around, Sailor Warhol socked it in the face as hard as she could because how dare evil alligator palm trees keep her from her bed? They weren't allowed to. She didn't have time for this. (She punched it again, for good measure, gloved fingers curling up and hitting with all the fury of an angry teenager.) When the youma was dusted, Warhol turned around, eyes aimed at the ground. "...sorry to bother you, I just...I was in the area." She'd lost a lot of the fire as soon as the youma evaporated, going from a riled up Senshi to a shy teenage girl.

Glitnir gave a soft but geniune applause when Warhol dusted the youma. "No problem! Help is always good. You did good there." It was kind of odd, how the senshi seemed so aggressive when beating down the youma but so shy now. "Might I ask how long you've been a senshi, Sailor...?" He made a gesture to indicate he was trying to think of her name but hadn't gotten it. Some senshi had their names in their attacks, some didn't, so it got a bit confusing there. Perhaps her length of time as a senshi would explain her demeanor; she was either new or experienced enough to experience a little lid-flipping.

"Sailor Warhol," the Senshi in question replied quietly, not quite looking Glitnir in the eyes -- anxious, that much was obvious. "I've been a senshi for about a month now...this is only my third or so time I've powered up. But you seemed like you could use a little help." Warhol gave an awkward grin, hand on the back of her head. "I've actually never fought a monster before, so...are you sure I did ok? I still don't know what my attack does, but it seems to work."

"Nice to meet you, Warhol. I'm Glitnir, Page of Mars." Ah, so she was a rookie. That explained why she seemed so nervous. "Only powered up three times, huh? Yeah, it's hard getting used to the routine at first, but after a while it just becomes a part of you whether you like it or not. Try just powering up at least once a day, even if you don't go anywhere. It might help." Glitnir glanced at the space where the youma had been, the dust already blowing away. "Your attack made the monster act weird, I can tell you that much. Maybe it scares the target? What's the attack called? You kinda mumbled it, so I didn't catch it."

She gave a soft, gentle nod at Glitnir's introduction. But then - "I don't want to patrol," Warhol complained, "I have a curfew, my parents would probably ground me if I came home with bruises." (In truth, she did seem a little scared of it -- of being this, of being powerful compared to normal-weak-schoolgirl that she was all the days and nights before -- but that barely showed on her face too much.) "It's called Warhol Mood Reflection...but how would you reflect a mood? They don't really have opposites, do they...? That seems weird...I don't know, I'm not good at really thinking things out."

Ah, right, curfews and those other trappings that actually came with living with one's parents. "Lots of people have their ways of getting a little patrolling in, curfew or not. Maybe you should see who's around during the day and see if you can get any tips out of them," Glitnir said, scratching his head. "Reflecting moods... I guess it depends on which psychology major you ask if moods have opposites. Or maybe it makes the target reflect on their mood, and that freaks them out somehow?" It was worth at least a guess, though his lack of experience with magic (senshi, Knight, or otherwise) made the guess a little less worthy.

"I'll figure it out," Warhol laughed - it was a little fake, but she figured he probably couldn't tell - taking quick looks at the surrounding scenery and at the corner she'd dropped her backpack behind: secret identity! A proper part of being a superhero. "I'm not very smart, so it's...a little hard for me...but I'll get it eventually. I should get home now, though, I have homework. See you around?" The girl gave a nervous wave, ducking around a corner and moving as swiftly as she could to pick up the pack and get moving, only henshining down when she was sure she was alone. ...Glitnir...? The name sounded odd, not at all like hers. Maybe she'd look it up. Maybe. Sami-Fire ahahaha don't worry i'm...i'm worse. but that's a wrap?
