It takes him a while to figure things out. Alistaire is not exactly known for his extensive group of friends, and the only people that he knows are either people he tolerates, people he dislikes, and Harland, who is in an entire class of his own. Still, he figures, that since Christmas is an important holiday (supposedly), he should probably attempt at least some semblance of an effort to do something.
This is the first time he has ever given gifts to anyone other than his siblings, and even then it was because of a sense of obligation more than anything else. It's awkward and messy, and he feels a terrible sense of embarrassment as he tries to figure things out; but eventually he thinks he might have gotten it.

Beneath the note, wrapped in white paper, is a small notebook, plain black pen, as well as a card with nothing written in it (clearly Alistaire's sense of humor was still somewhat warped).

This is probably the most awkward gift of Alistaire's, but to be fair it seems as though he might have had some help with it. Wrapped carefully in gauze paper and then tucked into a gift bag are a pair of watches, clearly intended for two people, rather than one. A peace offering, perhaps?

Molly's gift takes a while to figure out, since he is not used to having friends. But eventually Alistaire finds her a small tea infuser, along with some colorful yarn that the store owner told him would be good for someone who knit.

Harland's gift is by far the hardest. Alistaire spends so long in the stores that it takes him almost two days of trips back and forth to actually figure out what to get him. When he finally picks things out, he can't help but wonder if he's made the right choice.
There is a certain childish feel to all of his gifts, the uncertainty of his mind permeating through, but it is also clear that each thing was picked carefully out with Harland in mind. A warm scarf for his neck, some sunglasses for missions in the desert - and then, tucked beneath everything, a rather large box wrapped on its own, with another package. The inscription in the book reads To Harland, so that you may draw your heart.

This is his first Christmas on the island, and Arorangi is quite excited for it. He spends all of his allowable time off island searching for the perfect gifts for everyone, and his enthusiasm is palpable even to the store workers. Arorangi leaves feeling quite happy with himself.

Oliver's gift was just a tad hard to smuggle into Deus, and he looked very strange with the oversized bag in his arms; but fortunately, his large stature made the bag look somewhat smaller, and the gift - along with the card - was hidden in Oliver's closet for him to find.

He was not a Christmas person, not really in the slightest. But this year was also the first year that the idea of getting someone something had even occurred to Chance; and he found he was actually a little intrigued by it. So, on his day off and with his small amount of leave, he went off island, got a few things, and returned feeling a mixture of amusement and curiosity at how it would play out.
His handwriting also left a lot to be desired for someone who was a good artist.

He had little to no idea of what to get Abbi, but after passing a particular storefront, he found something he thought hse might like.

Chance's amused-ness at the holidays clearly extended to his gift for Oliver, which was clearly meant to be ironic. There were at least three pages of them, mostly of various animals.
Leslie's "gift" was also a book. Clearly someone was feeling a little puckish this holiday season.

Claude's gift was actually relatively thought out. Eventually Chance found a necklace, as well as some earrings she thought she would like (some chocolates were tossed in the bottom of the bag as well).

Both Finn and Ripley were a little difficult to get gifts for; Chance finally decided on a supply belt for Finn for his medical things when he was on the field, as well as a necklace that matched the earring he noticed he wore.

Ian's Christmas shopping took the majority of several days, since he kept thinking of more things at the last minute. He'd managed to stretch out his funds until there was literally perhaps a dollar left, and even then he wondered if he could get more. Christmas shopping was the fun part, after all.

Dorian's card was left at his doorway, along with a stocking full of candy. Ian hadn't seen his fellow Canadian in quite some time, but that didn't mean that he didn't want to leave a little reminder that he was thinking of him anyway.

Since he knew Quinn was always cold, Ian managed to find a nice, well-made coat for him to wear that was also, very conveniently, on sale. He tied it up with a pretty red ribbon and left it happily on the other man's doorstep.
Ian waffled about whether or not he should even get the shirt for Finn; but in the end, he stuffed it into his bag, along with some guitar picks and a necklace he thought might look cool.

Because he couldn't help himself, Ripley would find a rolled up poster, and several notebooks. Ian also threw in a necklace.

Nevada's card was one of the special ones. Ian took it out to her gravemarker, along with a bouquet of flowers, which he laid reverently down in front. He tucked the card carefully among the red and white leaves, and smoothed his fingers along the edges. Ian spent a good half an hour after that just sitting in front of the gravemarker, telling Nevada everything about what had been happening lately, as though she could have heard him - and maybe she could have. When he finally left, he pressed his fingers to his lips, then touched them to the marker, and walked silently away.

Shiloh's gift was, of course, the most important and simultaneously the hardest. Ian spent an entire day dedicated to only gifts for Shiloh, and when he finally found things, he wrapped them carefully and lovingly, and stuck them in the back of their closet to be given on Christmas day.

All of Gale's gifts had been carefully picked out, as he'd wanted to put as much thought and meaning into them as he could. He was still relatively awkward when it came to expressing himself, but at least this time he was able to share a part of the Christmas spirit with those he cared about.

Eventually, however, he dropped the gift (which was more a lighthearted attempt at humor than anything else) and its accompanying gift at Lance's room and proceeded to walk away very fast, trying not to look embarrassed.

For Alistaire
Gifting for Alistaire had been equally challenging on Molly's end. What did you get such a sophisticated and classy hunter!? She really didn't want to mess this up, and she really wanted to get him something that was useful and nice! That's why she knitted him a sweater. A classy sweater. Cable knit was pretty classy, and she was sure the more knits that were in it, the more classy it was!
Luckily for Alistaire, it was not made from the rainbow thread he got her, though she was very excited to make something with it. She made it in gray, because that seemed like a safe neutral color. Still classy though.
She also left him with an array of homemade Christmas cookies, and to top it all off, some Christmas pats, since he was working on showing his affection more.
At one point in passing him in the hall, Molly stopped, patted his shoulder, and whispered: 'you're doing a great job! Merry Christmas!' Stood there awkwardly patting his shoulder a bit longer, and then skittered off.

For Chance
In all honesty, at first, only Lex had been on Claude's radar for gifting. So color her genuinely surprised to have received a gift from someone else, and a thoughtful gift none the less (where the earrings immediately went right to her ears, the necklace was safely tucked away in her ring box for now), and the coin chocolate had her chuckling. Well then. Luckily she had gone on that mission to shop for the leads, and was able to grab some things for Chance in return.
She got him a ring based on the tattoo she had seen, and another ring based on his weapon. What could she say, Claude loved rings...she also apparently had a knack for guessing the right ring size. She could, apparently, size a finger for a ring a mile away, which was a neat talent possibly, because her weapon aim was worth s**t.
She also got him that drink she owed him, because Claudia Morgan didn't half a** anything. Also attached to the bottle was a small note:
Ditto, Cabana Boy. Have fun.

What lovely gifts with such a nice ring to them.
(At the bottom of the page there is a small but surprisingly accurate sketch of Claude posing as a pirate, standing with one foot atop a treasure chest, looking relatively regal. What is clearly supposed to be Chance lounges behind her, drinking from a straw out of a coconut, sunglasses on his face, and looking utterly relaxed.

Chance had set the little reindeer on his desk beside the only picture in his room, where it was clearly visible.
A note is left on Dawson's door as well; this time it is a sketch of Dawson himself in the drivers seat of what is obviously meant to be the Mystery Mobile (except that's crossed out, and Deus Mobile is written instead), looking as cheerful as ever, fingers gripping the steering wheel. Scooby Doo is drawn beside him, head stuck out the window, tongue lolling out happily.
