Nyhil had taken up residency in the 4th Squadron Kitchen, with the right slips for permission of course. Given that cooking anything in the semi-lab like galley of his own squadron was far from preferable and he would rather not accidentally poison or transform the squadron members if he mistakenly added a dangerous 'spice' to the mix. A number of scrumptious aroma's emanated from the area where he'd settled to create culinary joy.

Even with fangs, it was difficult to find someone wearing a pink apron with flour stains on his arms and face all that threatening. His uniform's jacket had been discarded – with only a short sleeved white undershirt to cover his chest – but leaving the scars along his elbows and wrists much more obvious than usual. They were thin but without his arms covered visible for anyone close enough to speak to him. Very fine lines - surgical along the joints for those with the knowledge of such fine scarring.

Nyhil was half-humming/half-singing to himself as he worked, it helped him focus and keep time with other things already in the oven. For all he was working on the space was cleaner than many would expect but he was tidying as he went – something he found far more efficient than waiting until the end of the process.

“Che con un po' di trucco...” He half sang part of the song he was thinking of. His tenor not in too poor a key – he'd probably not make a poor singer if he ever chose to pursue it. As it was – that seemed unlikely – he had too many other interests to pursuit such a field seriously.

He finished mixing his base and moved to start placing small balls of the meat to the dough he'd prepared earlier. It'd been a while since he'd made ravioli but he was enjoying the somewhat time consuming but simple dish after his frustrating morning. It had left him in much better spirits – most of the instance of being touched now pushed out of his mind at the calming hobby of cooking.

XXX It wasn't uncommon in the slightest to have people transversing in and out of the Kitchen area in Squad Four. After all, usually somebody was in there making something tasty, and even spot within the area was incredibly welcoming and accepting so there was usually nothing to fear when entering there. Of course, there were the occasional raids for food from Squad Eleven, but for the most part it was a peaceful location. A location that Tatsumaki spent quite a bit of time in when she wasn't resting or performing her duties as Lieutenant. Besides origami, baking was an activity that relaxed her immensely and something that always cheered her up. Most of the time when she finished whatever delectable creation she was working on she would bring it to the patients recovering in the Medical Ward to bring a little bit of merriment to an otherwise bleak situation. Despite the comfort the familiar location brought, the meek girl always used caution before entering. There was no telling who could be in there, and she preferred to avoid any frightening situations if she could.

Pausing before entering the girl would peer only slightly around the corner to survey the situation. The first thing that caught her attention was the quiet humming and singing in a different language. It was.. Italian? She didn't speak it, but it was nice to listen to. Nice enough that she remained unmoving for a couple of more moments so that she wouldn't disturb the young man and interrupt his song. The smile on her face disappeared when she realized just who it was that was singing. Nyhil Dakkar? She hadn't been acquainted with him all that well despite the fact that their Captains were very close friends. All she knew about him was that he appeared rather.. intimidating. There were a lot of dark rumors about him floating around and it was enough to almost make her turn tail and run. Yet, peering in at him he couldn't have seemed less threatening. Adorned in a pink apron, covered in patches of flour and singing. That wasn't scary. That was.. Cute? The very thought of the word made the petite Lieutenant's cheeks burn crimson, embarrassed by her own idea of it.

Eventually recovering from her self imposed bashfulness she gained enough confidence to knock on the wood of the entry way so that her entrance wouldn't completely startle Nyhil's work. Gathered up in her arms was an ornate kimono that she had removed to prevent it from getting dirty while she partook in her hobby, and instead currently she wore a hadajuban. "A-A-Ah.. G-Good afternoon, Dakkar-san." Quickly she'd bow to him, offering a shy smile before moving to set her kimono down. She'd take a couple of minutes to gather ingredients, mainly flour, sugar, and tofu, placing them where she she free space and grabbing a bowl. "I hope you d-d-don't mind me b-being here.." Daring to glance over at her companion for the time being, she'd look over what he was making. The dish he chose made her smile a little. Between the singing and the ravioli, well.. "I.. I t-take it you're a f-fan of Italy?" Before returning her attention to her own dish her eyes would linger on Nyhil's arms, noticing the thin scars around his elbows and wrists. The placement and appearance of them indicated that they had been received from a surgical procedure, but it wasn't something she had the confidence or right to ask about.

Quietly she'd add her ingredients together and began to knead the mixture with her hands into a dough, the process relaxing her somewhat.

Nyhil was just starting to cut the dough so he could fold the meat into the squares made, completely unconcerned with the image he might give off so involved with his work. He was self-assured enough not to be at all concerned as to an image. He'd finished his song by the time the knock came. Crimson gaze glancing to where the tiny female was speaking to him.

“Lieutenant of Squad Four, Tatsumaki Hyousetsu – Climate control ability with expected healing aspects. Shy, quiet, generally non-threatening.” His thoughts identified her shortly before information settled that he could see on his glasses. Her reiastu levels were normal for one of her position, no outward injury, slight distress but he was accustomed to seeing that in people speaking to him. After the swift, albeit likely disturbing, dissecting scan, a smile came to his face – as it usually did showing off pointed canines. The pearly whites brilliant enough to reflect light gently, he probably could star in a toothpaste commerical (as long as it was around holloween). He nodded to Tatsumaki politely. “I would greet you formally Lieutenant but I am less than clean at the moment.”

Usually the lieutenant prefered to be a gentleman and kiss a ladies hand, but in this case it was better to not – he presumed most creatures didn't want to be covered in bits of raw meat. Instead, he continued to focus on his folds as she gathered her ingredients. Her next comment earned a slightly confused expression, and a short pause in his work. “Why would I be disturbed as to your presence? It is your squadron's kitchen, if anything I would think that I might be the one that has you concerned. At least judging from the stuttering. If you like I could craft some alprazolam or citalopram. Or simply attempt to wrap up quickly.”

Both were drugs that believed to help clinically with stuttering. Nyhil spoke as to making them as if it were as simple as 'here I could make a sandwich on the side of this pasta'. Given she continued to ask questions he supposed she wouldn't be interested and instead nodded. “Yes, I enjoy a variety of cultures. I was fairly well traveled a long time ago. As to this dish, my underlings requested it specifically – along with deviled eggs. I'm not certain why – they are incredibly simple, a waste of my talents. But, I thought it would aid morale to create the dishes people desired - even if they are elementary.”

Nyhil's words were just about as paradoxical as he usually seemed to be; thoughtful yet judgemental.

XXX After working with the mixture in the bowl for a couple of minutes the ingredients were finally starting to combine together to form the dough she wanted. Kneading it a few times more she'd turn her head a little to look at Nyhil as he spoke to her, commenting on her stuttering. She knew it was a characteristic of hers that some others had deemed rather annoying, but it wasn't something she had a lot of control over. She'd been working on it, of course. Practicing saying words slower and more smoothly, which worked well when she was by herself. Her attempts at this usually proved unhelpful since she was a lot more tense when speaking with others. Often, people seemed unsure about how to communicate with Tatsumaki all together. They looked away from her, interrupted her and filled in words, and simply neglected to talk to her all together.

The Lieutenant was very aware that her speech was different and that it took her longer to say things. Unfortunately, though, this sometimes lead her to feeling more pressured to speak faster so that she didn't take up another person's time, which of course usually lead to her stuttering more. This was especially true for listeners who seemed impatient or irked. She was thankful that her Captain was patient at least. The fact that the young man had pointed it out lead her to believe she was being a bother, at least until he offered to make her medicine. 'Anxiety medications?' Tatsumaki smiled a little and shook her head, realizing that her companion wasn't as troubled by her speech patterns as she had thought. At the last bit about him rushing to finish she'd jolt and raise her hands, shaking them back and forth. "Ah, n-n-no! Please d-don't rush for my sake!" She didn't want to be a burden on him, especially since he seemed to be enjoying himself here.

"Your presence h-here isn't a problem, I'm like t-t-this with everyone. P-Please take your time." Moving away from the counter the girl grabbed a large pot and filled it with water, placing it on the stove and heating it up. She would have to wait for it to boil before doing anything else with her dish. While she was waiting she gave her attention back to Nyhil as he pondered over why those in his squad had wanted him to prepare such a simple dish. 'Deviled eggs?' The small Lieutenant thought it over herself, and when she realized the motivation behind the request she began to giggle. "Y-Your squad has a twisted sense of humor. I believe i-it's an allusion to your reputation." Surely the young man was aware of rumors about him? "They're poking f-fun at your.. Mm.." Tatsumaki would pause, cheeks flushing, worried about overstepping any boundaries. " 'Devilish' qualities?"

[ OOC: He's so smart and yet so oblivious. XD ]

Nyhil worked pleasantly enough in silence or if she was communicating with him. His nature was simply someone that was self-assured. He didn't feel embarrassment over the things many people would – that was reserved for instances where his inventions didn't work as he hoped they would. Otherwise, he didn't often react like most others would, he felt as if there was little to feel negative over after all he'd gone through. His present life was too far an improvement over what it had been to dwell on just about anything else.

When she had a small outburst and shook her hands one of his brows rose at the display, watching her overreaction curiously. Was this common for certain individuals? He hadn't actually been back for that long after all. Only recently had he managed to escape and his mind had been elsewhere on the people he'd met until he took his new position. He couldn't recall any of his own squad members being so needlessly energetic. “A simple answer would have sufficed. Are you really like this with everyone? Wouldn't that get tiring?”

He wasn't being judgemental, his tone was pure curiosity. Nyhil was considering her anew, perhaps she had some attribute that made her have more energy than most others. Of course, he'd already been told that asking people for blood samples the first time you met was a social faux pas. He wasn't yet certain how many meetings made it an acceptable request but he would have to do more social tests to narrow it down. Perhaps after a few more conversations.

“My reputation?” He began to ask, but she was already explaining herself. Then he considered her comments for a short while before shaking his head negatively. His eyes returning to his pasta – with it complete he poured it into his boiling water. “Illogical. I am not particularly 'devilish' by most stereotypes – my skin isn't red, I lack horns – I suppose I do occassionally have claws but I do not have a fire based zanpakuto. Besides, if they felt I was so sinister my hypothesis would be they would fear angering me with something so pointless.”

He presumed they just particularly enjoyed the dish in question – it was a popular one at pot-luck styled events. Then again, he was so purposefully oblivious maybe that was the point the rest of his squadron was making while he was nonethewiser as to their teasing.

Where: Squadron 4 Kitchens
With: Tatsumaki
OOC: Yes, that fits him just about perfectly. He can be completely blind to certain social aspects of society despite being extremely book smart. Like thinking "there must be a socially acceptable number of times to meet someone to ask them for a blood sample".

XXX As the pot of water began to bubble slightly, Tatsumaki would begin pulling apart chunks of the dough and forming them into balls. The end result was twenty seven small balls which she lined up on a sheet. Nyhil's initial comments about her reactions and answers first left her feeling humiliated and embarrassed, certain he was fed up with their interaction by now. It usually didn't take long for people to reach that point which was why she only had one person she could consider a "friend". Cheeks burning and head hung slightly the petite girl fiddled with her fingers awkwardly for a few moments before daring to glance back at the other Lieutenant to offer an apology. She was halted when she realized there was no sign of contempt in his gaze, just curiosity.

"A-Ah.." That was a little relieving at least. "Yes, i-it's exhausting. I spend a lot of t-time resting.." That fact was something she reflected on a lot. She was honored, of course, to have been presented with the opportunity to be Squad Four's Lieutenant, but did she deserve it? Nobody in her squad had even expressed concerns with her being in that position, but it was something she thought about every time she had to spend the day in bed. As the water came to a boil Tatsumaki would mimic Nyhil's actions and place her creation into the boiling water. It would take a couple of minutes for them to rise to the surface, so she would start preparing the sauce.

While the young man thought of what she had proposed she moved once more from the counter to gather soy sauce, mirin, and sugar. Getting a smaller pot she would combine the ingredients together and place it on the stove as well, occasionally stirring it with a whisk. Listening to his retort to her made Tatsumaki smile. It was clear that he was intelligent, but he seemed to take things far too literally and seemed quite oblivious to social aspects of society. Rarely able to engage in conversations with others she decided to try a bit of playful banter. "W-Well, I guess it depends w-which depiction of the Devil you look at." Lifting the pot from the heat a little she would swirl it around a few times. "The Bible depicts Lucifer a-as a deceiving and beautiful angel of light." Nevermind what this implied about her comparison of the devil to Nyhil; it hadn't crossed her mind. "Christian artists were the ones w-who came up with his beastly appearance. T-They're an allusion to Pagan and Greek deities, m-meant to portray what they thought of as false gods in a negative light."

By now her sauce was ready and she removed it from the heat. The balls of dough in the other pot had risen to the top, but she had to leave them in a couple minutes more. Perhaps she was wrong though, and Squad Twelve members really did enjoy deviled eggs a lot. Maybe if she worked up the courage she would ask another member about it sometime. "H-Have you had dango before?" That was the dish she was currently making, and even though he had mentioned he had traveled a lot she had no way of knowing what he had tried. "If you're bringing food to your squad, y-you can have some of what I make too." She hadn't decided to cook today for any particular occasion other than personal enjoyment, and she usually gave her food away anyway.

[ OOC: Hm.. Three times is probably fine, you know? Third time's the charm? ]

Nyhil began to gently stir his own creation as soon as it was poured inside. If he didn't the pasta would stick to the bottom and instead of tasty ravioli he'd have a mess of dough and meat. However, if he mixed too vigerously then they would break so it took a relaxed, patient hand. Once they were fine for a moment he paused to wash his hands free of the various raw foodstuffs before returning to his spoon.

“Oh? Do you have some sort of condition?” He was instantly curious, in some ways he considered himself a doctor. The only reason he hadn't gone into fourth squadon was that his interests extended far beyond mere health. It was the ability to research any field of science he desired that left him in his current position. “With a number of tests I might be able to devise something that could aid you in further vitality...though I'm not certain from what I just witnessed that an overdose might not threaten to cause cardiac arrest. Quite the conundrum coming up with a medium...”

Nyhil had fascinated himself with the new idea and she hadn't once said she was mildly interested in his possibly help. It wasn't until she spoke about other possible depictions of the devil that he became distracted from the concept of which elements could form a possible drug. “I must give you that. There are a number of different versions throughout history and religions. Do you consider me deceiving and beautiful?”

It wasn't in any way self-centered, he was more expecting that she would dismiss her own idea with the query. For him it was a method of debate, asking ones opponent in the conversation to decline their own point. He paused stirring once in a while so it didn't become a whirlpool in the pot, glancing between his dish, Tatsumaki, and her dish. “I have partaken in the past, but it's been some time to say the least. I had planned to bake cupcakes though time is lacking for what I had in mind. If you wish to donate your own dish you are welcome to attend. The pot luck is a morale building excersize after all, I would think the phrase 'the more the merrier' applies.”

Nyhil had never understood the discension between various squads, in the end they were all working toward a similar goal. In particular the distaste for the fourth squadron – alienating the people that would heal your wounds was a fool's errand. Social inventions of unneeded competion only lessened their overall effectiveness in his mind. He considered any others that were actively working for the Sereitei to be his ally by default.

XXX Scooping the balls of dough from the water, Tatsumaki would place them into a bowl of cold water. There they would sit for a couple of more minutes to ensure they would be firm enough for the final product. When Nyhil asked his question she would nod. "Yes, I've been sick for a while now." The answer was followed by a shrug, a small indication of her nonchalance to her medical burden. It wasn't like it hadn't been addressed or looked at many times over. She'd taken a lot of tests. A number of blood work and experimental medications that had always proved less than fruitful and more painful than anything in the end. It was a work in progress, and something that brought her a bit of anxiety.

Even if she understood the reasons, being a test subject wasn't a lot of fun. Still she was not one to turn down an offer, especially one that was in her best interest. The young man genuinely seemed like he wanted to help, and he certainly seemed intelligent enough. Well, the throw away comment about having a heart attack wasn't necessarily reassuring.. Despite this she would nod a little reluctantly, nervously laughing to herself. "W-Well I'm not opposed to your help.. I can get you my medical records and we can go over them."

Fishing the dough from their ice bath Tatsumaki would strain them and begin to thread them onto bamboo skewers. Back on the topic of different portrayals of the devil the smaller girl would nod, slightly pleased that her exchange of historical information had gone over so well. Of course until.. "Do you consider me deceiving and beautiful?” The question was almost too much for the timid Lieutenant to handle. For a moment she had frozen, shocked by the inquiry and her immediate reaction was to handle things as she usually did: panicking. "Th-th-th-that's! N-No! I mean y-yes, but! N-N-Not! I d-d-don't! U-U-Um..!" By now she had dropped what she was working on, leaving the skewer on the plate and instead fiddled with her hands, a nervous habit she'd grown accustomed to.

Tripping over her words it was probably impossible for her to convey what she was trying to say. She didn't think he was a deceiving person; he seemed like the sort of person to bluntly state their wishes and not the type to manipulate. And he was attractive. Perhaps a little bit frightening if you took away the pink apron and flour patches that covered him, with the fangs and crimson eyes, but still quite alluring. Not that she could ever say something like that, of course, which was why she was struggling to express her thoughts in a fluid manner. Hopefully Nyhil wouldn't take offense to this odd portrayal of an answer. The poor girl's face was more red than it had ever been previously and her heart was beating so loud and fast it wouldn't have been surprising at all if somebody else could hear it. Yes, such simple, strange things were what seemed to work Tatsumaki up he most.

Her salvation came in the form of a topic change. At the very least moving on from the subject allowed her to calm down a little although the blush on her cheeks remained. "Th-Thank you for the invitation.. I'd be happy to tag along." It was rare that she got to do much of anything, and even if she didn't get to stay for a long time it would be nice to get out and do something.

[ OOC: LOL, very smart. Four is good. And Tatsumaki will be digging her own grave in the near future. XD ]

“A pity, such ailments always seem to target those who least deserve them.” He remarked, there was a slight tingue of reminiscent sadness – as if he'd dealt with such a case in the past. Of course, that might explain his immediate reaction being a desire to fix Tatsumaki's. The moment didn't last, he wasn't someone that retained any emotion for long – instead offering a nod and what was probably supposed to be a reassuring smile at her comments. Fangs didn't really leave any of his expressions as 'comforting'. “I would be glad to aid you however I am able.”

He began fishing the ravioli's carefully with a ladel from his pot, that was until she began to react as if she were about to pass out or might have been having a minor seizure. His brows turned inward in confusion while he stared at her, concerned that perhaps her health was already catching up to her with the way she seemed ready to hypervenalite. She wasn't making any sense either. “Are you not well at present? If you are feeling lightheaded it would be best to rest. You're very flushed, am I causing you emotional distress? I am admittedly poor at reading social situations.”

When she started to relax, and he believed she would not suffocate from her own uneven breathing he returned to removing his dish so it wouldn't overcook. Certainly he could see why she had such issues, her health problem already seemed chaotic and unpredictable. Those sorts of ailments were the most difficult to pin down, so it would explain why it wouldn't have been fixed by the fourth squadron already. Of course, it could be more a mental based issue, also much more complex than phyiscal problems. Either way, not an issue that would be deciphered in a single meeting.

“As long as you are feeling up to it, you need not push yourself on my account.” Nyhil replied, though he supposed at least she was small enough that should she feint he could carry her back to her squadron without diffiuclty. His squadon had several people that were socially challenged – usually not as much as himself – but she seemed eager to get along with anyone. He smiled again, fangs white enough to reflect the light in the room. He added a sauce to his pasta and closed it into a bowl for ease of transfer. His deviled eggs were already properly stored in the fridge so it was a matter of waiting her to finish her dessert. He wasn't rushing her however, in fact he was cleaning up the area and dishes he'd used – very responsible when it came to using other's areas.

XXX It was a fleeting moment that Tatsumaki managed to catch; the slightest hint of sadness on the young man's expression. It was of course, something that had immediately caught her attention as she was used to picking up emotional changes in patients she worked with. Despite her curiosity though, it wasn't something she could ask about. Perhaps another day. Just like Nyhil had learned that it wasn't socially acceptable to immediately ask for blood samples, the young Lieutenant knew more personal topics of conversation - like what procedure had caused his scarring - needed to be worked up to. When the moment passed she would smile back at him, and even if his "reassuring smile" didn't seem to provide much comfort, she really was very appreciative at his offers to help her.

That and his patience. Even at her outburst of a nervous reaction he hadn't expressed any type of agitation toward her, only concern. She could count the people forgiving enough to her situation on one hand. Quickly she'd attempt to assuage his worries. "N-No, I'm fine, thank you. I apologize for burdening you." It was a choice word for her. A burden was something she never wanted to be and despite her efforts she found herself thinking of it more and more. A momentary display of grief plagued her expression as she thought the word over, but it disappeared when Nyhil spoke again to her.

She'd nod to confirm her wish to join him and the rest of his squad for the time being. She'd have to be careful to not distress herself any further, but she really did want to expand her horizons a little. "I'll try not to cause too much trouble for you.." In fact the girl did seem to be a little more mellow now. It was more probable that the reason for this was that she had tired herself out a bit already, and not that she was much more comfortable than earlier.

Quickly finishing placing all of the dough balls on the skewers, Tatsumaki would drizzle the sauce she had prepared over each one. Placing them in a container, she'd also clean up here area, making sure everything was in its proper place. The last thing she did was retrieve her kimono, placing it back on over the hadajuban she had been wearing. Tying it all together she'd grab her dish and bow her head slightly to Nyhil, now prepared to follow after him. "Th-Thank you for waiting."

“No need for apologies, you haven't been a burden at all.” He replied, shrugging it off as if the exchange wasn't of particular importance. “Your behavior is undoubtably unique, but that does not make it immediately negative. You are a Lieutenant, you should have a little more faith in yourself – your superior's obviously do.”

It was a simple observation for him. He wasn't even watching her at the time, instead pulling out the long tupperware holding his other dish for the pot luck. He balanced them neatly in one hand with the bowl of ravioli on top and waited until she was prepared to exit for his squadron.

(exit stage left...will pick up at the 12th squad)

After a short trip to his quarters, Nyhil had cleaned up – changed clothes – and gotten himself enough to eat that he shouldn't go attacking anyone else. As it was he was still frustrated by the entire exchange in his Captain's inner sanctum. The fact that the squadrons were holding such a volatile creature bothered the lieutenant. Even more so when he considered the haunted, tormented tones of the monster. It hit closer to home than the vampire-like lieutenant would openly admit, it would be more merciful to put down a dog with rabies than keep it in it's own cage hoping it'd never bite anyone. If the creature was in pain, why keep it alive? Just because it was a rare find? Cruelty was the word he was trying to avoid but that his mind kept returning to. How often in his years of torment had he been the one releasing those screams?

He returned to the kitchen at 4th squad because cooking is what calmed him, it helped him to relax. To focus on something other than his own memories of incarcerated agony. Tying off his pink apron he began to collect various vegetables, pausing at one of the refrigerated units to consider what meat to use. He eyed the quail but dismissed it – he doubted it would blend well with curry. He picked up some turkey meat instead – it would be richer than chicken in the sauce he had in mind. Next spices were plucked from the rack in quick succession. The counter space he was using was adding up swiftly.

He set water to boil and began to prepare the vegetables, it was already helping him get away from his thoughts. It wasn't his place to question the creatures presence, those with far more experience and presence than he had made that decision. As he had stated to the third seat – his duty was to serve. If he openly questioned his superiors without all of the information that made him a poor underling. Nyhil nodded to himself, pushing some vegetables into the water when it began to boil, adding spices and stirring before he switched to begin cutting the meat.

Then there was Rei, Nyhil hadn't meant to bite him. Though it was clear the ex-captain was strong by his flavor. Blood, was a bit like the food he enjoyed preparing – each person had their own distinct flavor to his sensitive pallet. While, Rei was likely unaware it meant Nyhil could track him should the need arise...anytime he tasted someone he could track them down. A small frown creased his face and disturbed his thoughts. He doubted he would be able to eat all of this...but he'd find someone that was interested. Despite the fact many distrusted him...just as many had heard what a chef he was and had been willing to try his dishes in the past.

XXX It would be a lie to say that the burst of reiatsu coming from another location hadn't peaked Lilith's interest to a certain extent, but the woman was still reluctant to actually investigate. It wasn't fear at all, but rather that she felt it would draw unwanted attention. Besides, she rationalized that something like that, even if it were powerful, was too undisciplined to work with, and therefore it would not be an asset to the army Sestran wanted to build. The Arrancar would report it, of course, but perhaps a visit to that particular location was best left for another day. As it was now, she was trying to figure out the best course of action now that she had attained some information. It hadn't been much, but any information was power in the right hands. She assumed that there could be another archive of information elsewhere, perhaps where the powers of different members were recorded, which would be beneficial for obvious reasons.

Still, she didn't have the knowledge of the area to be sure as to where that would be located. The Head Captain's Office would be a good start, though she was sure it would be guarded a little more heavily considering the importance of the position. In fact, the lack of a strong defense in guarding Squad Four, the Medical Center, had been almost surprising, but not unwelcome. Resolving to at least try her luck at finding the Head Captain's Office, Lilith would wander through Squad Four, walking slowly as to take in the scenery so that she would not forget certain locations later when they would matter more. As she walked past an open door, crimson eyes would move to glance inside, a somewhat familiar sight greeting her. She had recognized the armband that the young man inside was wearing, as it was similar in appearance to the one she had seen attached to the frail girl in the Medical Bay. 'Another Lieutenant..' In a fluid motion, Lilith pivoted her foot and changed her direction, opting to waltz inside the kitchen instead. Taking detours weren't always a bad thing.

Besides, it would be interesting - if not useful - to talk to one of the higher up members of the Soul Society. "Good afternoon." She'd announce her presence with a simple greeting, a light smile on her face. Her voice, as usual, held the same musical, smooth tone as it always did, a quality that coupled with her powers and generally lulled people into a sense of docility when around her. Even though her pheromone usage was currently in effect, it would have no effect on Nyhil, a trait that would certainly intrigue the woman when she figured it out. "I don't believe we've met before. My name is Leiko Kodama."

Nyhil had just stirred the vegetables and put some of the meat on to begin frying it slowly in a separate pan, the hissing of oil accompanying his glance up to the woman that had entered the kitchen. His glasses didn't immediately identify the woman so she wasn't of a notable rank. He didn't recognize the name so she wasn't a member of his squadron. He offered a fanged smile and a polite nod however, rarely seeing reason to be rude – no matter what someone's position was. “A pleasure, I'm Nyhil Dakkar. Are you in the fourth squadron?”

It was a reasonable guess, he was in their kitchen after all – he'd come across various members now and again, the name was saved into the information of his complex goggles with nothing more than a few flickers of his eyes across a screen only he could see. It would appear to anyone else as if he were only keeping a keen eye on the meat – which he was adding another piece. His gaze didn't linger on the pink haired girl – he couldn't get too distracted. Females were well and good, but he wasn't about to let his meat burn over one.

“If you're here because you are hungry, you are welcome to stay until I am finished – pending no other pressing duties. I will undoubtedly make more than I am capable of eating on my own.” Nyhil was adding another strip of meat. It was an understatement, he looked to be working on enough curry to help the entire army. He paused to taste the broth and veggies, considering a moment before adding in some more Garam Masala. “Could you be a dear and get me some more coconut milk? I think it needs a splash more.”
