"Out of the night that covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be for my unconquerable soul."
☼☼☼

"Ahh yes love! Thank you for the change, but don't worry about it."

Three months had Isolde made honest work within the Divine Zaibatsu, but was there anything really honest at this point in time? Friends she had grown to love were now gone, and Isolde was once more on her own in the world. No sooner had she had the dream to be trained as a soldier that it had been squashed deep into the earth itself. That squishing came from the unnecessary violence and resolve of this new foe. Isolde was left helpless.

Well as helpless as one could be.

The woman held a lot of nature's power within her, and she felt connected. When the earth cried, she cried. When it was scorched, she felt the hot burns on her arms and legs. She would need training, but training had been pushed back. And she dare not channel the power of the eath too much for fear that she would trigger, and cause another surmountable earthquake. Oh no, Isolde would rather use her powers for good. And thus, this is where her story begins in the Divine Zaibatsu. A woman apothecary who peddled her wares and medicines to those who needed it most. But within the last month even, she realized that she would be giving a bit more than what was needed. She sighed for a bit and looked around, looking through the sea of forlorn and sullen faces. If not for the Earth being connected to her senses she would feel the same way.

R'saava

☼═━━━┈┈┈┈┈━━━═☼

"You call that fat wyrm a dragon!?"
╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗

R'saava could feel her. It had taken a very, very long time to properly track the girl down, and who knew she had been so close all along? It had been because of her connection to the earth that R'saava couldn't track her, because in a sense, she was everywhere. That was not the case any longer though. She was right here in front of R'saava, and she could finally meet the person who had caused those devastating earthquakes years ago. R'saava approached the girl, who looked rather absent minded at the moment, and cleared her throat to get her attention.
"Hello dear. My name is R'saava, and I've been looking for you." She pronounced her name with a subtle hiss, like some sort of accent; though she spoke perfect english. R'saava pulled the hood of her cloak off to expose her face; her slightly pointed ears still hidden in her long hair though. Her eyes scanned the girls body head to toe, but looked much deeper than the surface. All that untapped potential. The girl had power, but it was so raw that just being near her made R'saava feel like she was looking at the sun. Not many other people would be aware of this though, since she was one of the only people who could see magic as well as use it. It took a very long time and lots of practice to be able to look at the threads of magic. All of it like little marionette strings on every living thing; connecting them to the earth, sky, sun, stars, seas, and everything else in between. This girl could be a saviour, or a destroyer with this special power she possessed, and R'saava wanted to be there when she chose her path. Good, or ill.

Isolde looked back up, bright teal eyes looking inquisitively at the woman. Looking for her? After all, this didn't seem to unusual. Isolde had been an apothecary for quite awhile, and perhaps the woman had been referenced over to her. However, Isolde noticed that this woman seemed to walk lightly on her feet. She watched the woman take her hood off and now looked at her. "Looking for me?" was what finally tumbled out her lips as she caught herself off guard. She shook her head a bit , coming back into the present day.

"Well... R'saava." Isolde pronounced it on her own tongue. It was a pretty name to say the least. "Isolde is my name. You mentioned coming to look for me. Tell me, was there a salve you needed? An herbal remedy that might cure something? Aches, body pains, fever? I'm selling at reduced prices for the week." Isolde commented as she looked more at the women in front of her. Isolde pushed back her dark tendrils and waited, wondering exactly what her next customer would want.

The corner of R'saava's mouth turned up in a smirk as she placed a hand on her hip. "I didn't come for you're herbs Isolde. I came for you." R'saava pointed at her and locked her electric blue eyes with Isolde's teal ones. "I know you're not just some traveling apothecary. You have power, and I've come to see it." She didn't know if the girl would become hostile or not, but she had no fear. R'saava feared no one; no matter how powerful they may be. She had faith that this lovely creature was as sweet as she looked though. Isolde.. I've finally met you.

For a little bit, the woman was confused as she looked up at her. If she wasn't for her wares then why was-- And then the woman answered her. It was about her power. For awhile, Isolde didn't say anything. With the fact that she hadn't gotten the training to become a DZ soldier, was there really a point to use hr power at all?

"I'm sorry, but I can't do that."

Such were Isolde's words as she looked at the woman and began to pack up her vials and wares into the bag she carried. On her back lay the staff, Mat Zemlyat, that she had created, and soon the pile was picked up around them. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude. Times have been tough here." she noted. "But I simply cannot for now. I lack the training. I have the ability to summon, but I cannot do too much or else it might spike. And I cannot afford that kind of consequence to these people."

She opened up her palm and gently lifted up. Immediately, the earth seemed from the cracks of the cobblestone, and had made a small pillar for her to place her satchel so she could organize her things. "Peaceful interactions I can do. But not much more than that. I almost fear to see what would happen." she asnwered. "So hopefully this is what you wanted to see?"

R'saava studied how the girl shaped the earth into a pillar. Intuitively, not having uttered a word. Her concerns made sense, unknown powers could unleash devastating effects if not properly controlled. R'saava was not going to take a simple no for an answer though. She wanted to know more about Isolde. If she had a lack of training, then maybe R'saava should remedy that.
"I understand, but maybe I can help." R'saava removed her pack and set it on thin air. The bag just sitting there stationary as she held out her hand and out floated a bag of little crystals. "If you lack control over you're powers, you are nothing more then a ticking time bomb. I could help you." She held out the pouch of crystals and raised her eyebrows inquisitively. "I was there the day you first lost control."

"There when I-- I'm sorry I don't seem to understand." Came the response as she looked at the woman "I mean how could you have been there when..." Isolde then flashed back for a moment as she thought of that night that she had actually lost control. That night she had torn through the earth and created the earthquakes. Land had ripped apart violently and she hadn't even meant for it to happen. It was even a miracle she had at least saved her parents, or she would have lost her entire family. No. That couldn't happen again, it couldn't...!

Teal blue eyes came back to the present now. It had been so long since that moment, about four years, maybe nearing five. She swallowed hard and looked at the woman. A pretty woman actually, but she was mysterious. More importantly. "You could help me? But I... why?" Isolde was taken aback. "That is so kind of you but... what is it you want to gain out of this?" the woman bit her lip now and nodded slowly. "I'm sorry. I don't mean it like that. But with everything happening, I'm sure you understand about letting there be a bit of caution. If you could help me, then I wish to return the favor." she told her then more softly now as she looked at the small pillar. Once done putting away her things she made a pushing motion. The earth packed away, back to where it came now.

She however was amazed at the ability this woman had with the crystals, and she took it to good note. Honestly, at the rate Isolde was going, perhaps trusting in a woman who apparently knew her might be better than leaving her powers unchecked. After all, she was right. Isolde could easily be a devastating earthquake waiting to happen now. "But what do I even do. Where do I even start?"

R'saava gave a musical little laugh and placed the pouch of crystals in the girls hands. "We'll start with these. They are shards of a crystal that holds magical energy. Hopefully, you can focus your powers with these. I use them too." R'saava showed her a necklace she wore that had a pendant made of the crystal, and then pointed at the top of her staff which had a polished crystal in it. "I don't need them to use my magic, but without them it's much harder to control."
The girl was flustered and R'saava knew that she probably had many questions. It would take some time to answer them all, but she wanted to help the girl for one reason in particular. "You don't need to worry about repaying me. I just don't want to see you hurt yourself, or anyone else." Glancing around R'saava put her pack on her back once more and looked for an opening in the crowded area. "If you do let me train you though, we should find a private place. Just because we have powers doesn't mean we have to galavant it about in public."

Isolde looked at the crystals in front of her before looking up at where R'saava had her own crystals. Perhaps she could infuse one of them into her own staff, similar to what the woman had done with her own gear. For Isolde however, it was a bit hard to wrap her mind around. After all, the thought of crystals channeling hr power just seemed so farfetched. It wasn't that she doubted the woman, she just needed to take time to wrap her mind around it.

"I agree." Isolde told her firmly. "Considering the past three months here, times have been tough, and I can't say I trust the same people as much as I used to." It was no surprise that times in the Zaibatsu had grown quite dangerous now. Nobody could trust one another, and the threat was always imminent. "I suggest maybe we train on the outskirts, away from the actual city itself." she told the woman quietly. "Doing anything in public nowadays is asking for trouble. Besides, we could set up residence and not have our privacy at risk. Are you sure there isn't anything I could do to repay you though?"

Now naturally, Isolde was a bit suspicious, but at the rate things were going, she felt that the woman had a point. And up until this point, she had no reason to not trust the lady. She took a deep breath and looked around the city now, feeling where the different areas were.

R'saava gave the woman a reassuring smile and held up her hands as she shook her head. "I have no need of anything from you. Besides you're company as we develop your power." R'saava could ask for many things considering the nature of Isolde's power, but she could get those things for herself as well. She would never ask for what she could obtain by her own device. She had power and knowledge, and therefore needed no ones support. It was her duty to give others her support instead. Especially those in need.

With the necessity of finding a place to train Isolde in relative peace and without too many prying eyes, R'saava's mind mulled over the woman's suggestions and she gave a slow nod in agreement. "I agree that going to the outskirts is the best course of action. We could make a safe training area for you somewhere free of others."

"Then it's settled then, R'saava " Isolde answered to the woman with a genuine smile on her features. Once fully packed Isolde shifted her robes and placed both hands on her hips, surveying the area around them. She had a feeling it would be a very long treck ahead, but ultimately, it would be for the better for her. Now, the real question was if she could find out more about this mysterious woman.

[Time Skip]

Early morning, the day of the first training session.

Isolde sat outsdide, basking in the first rays of the sunlight as she meditated, feeling one with the earth in these moments. Meditation was what normally helped her keep her powers in check without fears of a spike. And, for Isolde, waking with the sun was never really an issue. Out on the outskirts Zaibatsu city's outline was behind her, but this way she was safe from prying eyes. After all, she had extremely powerfl abilities, and falling into the wrong hands? Well, it could only end terribly.

She wasn't sure if R'saava was awake or not but at least she would be prepared for whatever the woman threw at her. Or at least so she thought.

R'saava woke with the sun thanks to an internal clock that never failed her. Even if she slept like a rock before it was time to be up. With a stretch and a yawn she rose from her bed; a soft patch of grass and bedroll that she carried along everywhere they went. They had a cozy camp set up by their new training area, and R'saava was use to sleeping outdoors. A smirk played on her lips as she thought about Isolde not minding that they had to sleep on the hard earth. It probably feels like a feathered mattress to that girl, R'saava thought as she crawled out of her tent. She didn't think to serious about it, knowing that very well might not be the case. She just had to make herself smile every once in a while.

"Goodmorning!" R'saava called out sweetly as she rose. Arching her back she sighed as it popped and cracked and relieved a little pressure built up in her spine. "Aahh.." Today was the day Isolde would begin tapping deeper into her powers. Mmmm, she was going to enjoy having a fellow mage with her. It wasn't every day she got to share her secrets with another and have them benefit from the knowledge. R'saava quietly padded over to the meditating girl and sat cross-legged in front of her. Enjoying the cool morning air as it blew through her messy bedhead. "I trust you slept well?"

"Yes. She treats me well." came the soft and simple reply of the woman as she came out of her meditative state. Isolde looked up and couldn't help but yawn a bit as she looked up at her, however that backcracking earned a chuckle from the voluptuous lady. "You know, sleeping on a flat surface can sometimes help that." she noted to her as she looked out at the sky. "I try to at least focus before I start anything. Lest it be too much." Isolde stated.

"So... how much are you going to break me today?" she jested quietly. It felt nice to have somebody to talk to about her powers after all these years.

"Only so much. We have to be able to put you back together." R'saava grinned and took out her pack with all her little do-dads in it. "And Ill try to find more flat rocks to lay on from now on, thank you," she giggled and set her staff down in front of her first, then pulled out a large sphere wrapped in a purple silk cloth.

To business, she thought caressing the orb. "Remember how I told you I use crystals to conduct my power? I'm going to demonstrate for you and teach you how it works." She unwrapped the orb and you see it's one of the crystals polished and perfectly round. You can almost see through it, but different colors of the rainbow twist and spiral around making it slightly opaque.

Isolde could only watch as she pulled out an orb after being in front of her. She took a deep breath as she waited for the first lesson. "Oh good, I love the thought of being near death. Keeps me going through the day." she joked as she wondered what R'saava had up her sleeve.

She wasn't expecting her to pull out a crystal sphere though, or at least it looked like one. "...A crystal ball?" Isolde cocked an eyebrow, now suddenly a bit confused as to what exactly she was seeing. "Will I have to... use this all the time?" she wasn't sure exactly how she would go about carrying something around like that.
