OK - so not that long ago, I went to a nude beach while vacationing in California. I had not ever been to one and I was actually overly excited. Sadly, everyone there was in bathing suits so I never got to meet a nudist. I understand you don't have to be a nudist to go to this beach but I was actually hoping to meet a few. I totally understand how they view others and it's so insightful, they see people by whats on the inside rather then whats on the outside. It's fascinating to know that nudist men aren't pigs when they see a naked girl - as far as I'm concerned. I asked a few of the locals that lived around the beach and they all said that nudists were disgusting. The American's I had met while vacationing said the Nudists are only nudists for attention.. (which i personally didn't understand) but my questions are: What is the point of being a nudist? and what do you get out of it? Do you have to literally be nude 24/7 to be considered a nudist? Is it illegal to be nudist? and can you live in the city? Would you consider being a nudist a type of mental illness? I personally wouldn't mind trying it for a week.
If you or someone you know is a nudist - tell me everything! I AM SO CURIOUS, and I would love to hear what you all have to say

I'm friends with someone that is in a family that practices nudity in their home. This isn't quote for quote, but I got the general gist of what she was saying. Alright, question one, what is the point of being a nudist and what do you get out of it? She said that it feels natural, and has given her a certain sense of freedom. There's no need to be ashamed of her body. Her parents are very body positive and open about the human body. Question two, do you have to be nude 24/7 to be considered a nudist? She says no. She mainly stays unclothed in and around her home and in designated areas where full nudity is allowed, as does the rest of her family. Sometimes clothes are needed, like in cold temperatures and for protection. She and the rest of her family also wear clothes just because they want to, for aesthetic reasons. If you practice it on a regular basis you're considered a nudist. Question three, is it illegal to be a nudist? Nope. As long as you abide by your states/province's laws, you should be okay. Most places (unless otherwise specified) only allow nudity from the waist up for people with and without breasts in, but not full on nudity. Still, you should check with your local laws as they can vary. Question four, can you live in the city? Yes, you can live anywhere and be a nudist. And the final question, would you consider being a nudist a type of mental illness? Absolutely not. Our nude state is a our natural state. There's nothing wrong or perverse with the human body. I hope this helped! 4laugh

People could probably cut ice with their nips from it being so bloody cold here. The American's I spoke too were really unsupportive about nudism and I hoped not everyone in the US were against it. Thank you so much for your answer - I'm so fascinated by your friend! Thank u thank uu!
