Ghosts are youkai that are the spiritual entities of deceased humans - the remnant of a person's soul, which lives on in the Netherworld - separated from their corpse, which is burned in the Hell of Blazing Fires. The ghost exists even in death, retaining the appearance, personality, and even memory of the deceased. Some ghosts are simply white tufts, whereas some more powerful ghosts can take completely human form.
They are intangible, and can pass through objects at will. This is usual of all ghosts-- the slightly more powerful ghosts can create their own solid bodies so that they may interact with the world and living things.
They are also immortal, and cannot be injured or killed. Of course, they can be weakened and subdued with spiritual attacks.
