Varinia is very goal oriented, not just goal oriented, but she strives to achieve everything she can. Her ambitious and determined nature makes being goal oriented a breeze, as she will stay on track and focus until the job is done. She yearns to do everything, be everything, achieve everything and has the determination to back it up. However, sometimes she won't always see that a task is too big, but that's when another side of her kicks in.
No task will ever seem too big to Vari as she will deconstruct it bit by bit to find out which way will make it the most achievable. This takes time, though, sometimes time that she doesn't always have. Unless she learns that there are some things she can't do just quite yet and that there really is such a thing as a task that is too big, it very well may lead her to trouble.
This go-getter has a softer side as well, as one would expect with two younger sisters. Being the oldest of the three, her father had taught her some fighting skills should anyone mean her harm and Vari took to it like radaku to a rider. She is very protective of her sisters, and won't hesitate to take care of anyone who means them harm in any sense of the word. This isn't restrictive to her family, either. She's protective of all her close friends, and fiercely loyal. They know they can always depend on her to have their backs as she has always been very reliable. She'll sometimes put others ahead of herself, which is surprising for the ambitious oban, though admittedly, it isn't often.

History: Varinia was born the eldest of three girls to oban parents, Varn and Mina. The lived a simple life in the settlement of Belpol. Varn was a soldier in the King's Army. But being the only male of the family gave him some perks, as he was the sole breadwinner for the family. Mina, who spent most of her time seeing to the well being and education of the girls, had a knack for pottery, and often sold wares when their income needed supplementing. Of course, it wasn't reliable, but added a little extra income whenever they could get it.
As Vari got older, and the war with Tendaji started up, her father began getting called away more and more. One day, he returned with some children of family friends, Reillan and his brother who were apparently on their way to Tendaji themselves. Varn let the two boys stay at the house for as long as they wished, as it made him feel a little better about when he had to leave his wife and children, at least there would be some males in the house. But as disaster struck all of Tendaji, it did her family as well. Her father had been gone an increasingly longer time and no word had been heard. No writing or word from the army, even though others her father normally fought with were back, yet they had no word of him. Reillan and his brother offered to leave on their way to Tendaji and promised to search for him while they were there, in thanks to their hospitality. And soon, Varinia watched her friends leave for a place her father hadn't returned from, and she could only hope that fate wouldn't happen to everyone who went there.
As time passed on, they began running low on money, and her mother could only sell so many pieces of claywork. Having proper manners and a clean appearance, Varinia was taken in by a lesser noble family as help around the house. Mostly it was cleaning, but she proved invaluable taking care of the family's children, often teaching them and correcting them and taking care of them. The family soon grew attached, but there were greater things in store for Varinia.
One day, guards arrived at the lesser noble's house with orders to take Varinia to see the King. Apparently, the lesser noble family had been good friends with the New king before he was the new king, and had learned of her loyalty and excellent house keeping skills, as well as being hardworking and very personable. She had become a 'staple' in the house of the lesser noble. As he had a daughter her own age, he offered to hire her, paying her double the measly amount she was currently earning. Accepting eagerly, she awaited the new princesses arrival while being groomed and taught things properly as she had never had a true formal education. It was a big leap for her, one that she took on willingly, and happily. The lesser noble family was sad to see her go, their children sent her off with a small rope bracelet they had braided together themselves in their thanks. As much as they wanted her to stay, even they knew you couldn't refuse the king.
*Note: To be clear, this is NOT a stage two quest, the reason why Reillan is mentioned is because Varinia would likely have gone to Tendaji herself if they had not been there to go instead.
