Freshly emerged, a young teen had just escaped from her home. She had only been hanging on the ceiling in there for Guardians knew how long, it was well past time she had gotten out of there anyway.
Stretching her slightly awkward limbs, Siofra grunted quietly. She had loved hanging from the ceiling, it was a comfy spot, but she felt like she hadn't moved in forever! Jade eyes flicked around, looking for something, anything interesting. Oh she was dieing to get out and stretch her legs! How funny it was to have legs too!
"Hehehe!" She giggled, finally spotting a tree she hadn't seen before. "THat's the perfect spot!" Both her and Princess Paz would have a blast getting up in that tree. Or maybe it would be more fun to get back down. Either way, she knew exactly where she was going.
With purposeful strides, the young teen walked across a rather wide and well worn path and to a kindly aged oak, full f knots and limbs low enough to not need wings to climb into it.

For Elias, it had felt like a short nap, his time spent in the cocoon. To Daring Do, it had been an eternity. After emerging from his cocoon, despite how short it felt, the desire to stretch his limbs and wings was strong. His body knew how long he had been in the cocoon even if he didn't. It wasn't like he could just go walking around the tree either, things had changed quite a bit in his time asleep. So he needed to get out of the tree in order to get a good stretching. When he had first suggested getting out for a bit, Daring Do had sort of freaked out. Elias was still her baby, and they had only just been reunited. However, Elias said the magical word, 'adventure', and there was little Daring Do could do to get herself to say no to him. Daring Do understood that feeling of needing to get out to have an adventure all to well. So Elias made his way out of the tree, carefully, and trying not to draw too much attention to himself. He was a freak before, but now he had wings, and while there were many winged faun, Elias was still nervous about how he might be perceived by the tree he viewed as strict. He could understand why after what had happened. Elias was walking in the forest now, making his way further from the tree. Every once in a while he would flutter his wings and take off from the ground. It was a strange feeling. He wasn't born with wings, he never even knew wings would be something he could just grow like this. They were going to take some getting used to. Elias wondered for a moment if he should have invited Daring so she could give him some flying lessons, but their wings were so different... Elias really didn't know where he was going, he had never gone out exploring like this before. Daring Do had taken him out and about once before for a carnival, but for the most part he had stayed inside their home. Now, his feet stumbled upon a path so he decided to see where it led.

Siofra grinned, having made it a little way into the tree before a brightly colored speck showed up in the distance. It felt so nice to have climbed that tree with two hands and whatever her feet were now. They didn't look a thing like what her parents had. No wiggly toes, and a lot less fur and hard stuff. But, that didn't seem to stop her mom from loving her like she did the other kids. Siofra barely knew she was different in that family.
"Hey you!" She called, waving from her hiding spot on a limb still fairly close to the ground. "Come here and help me up the tree!" The girl hollered, hoping that brightly colored thing was a friendly pae. But they were all friendly, weren't they? She hadn't met any mean pae, or maybe she had and she'd been in the cocoon? Either way, Siofra couldn't wait to make a new friend, or to climb the rest of the way into the tree she'd started on.

Elias looked up, seeing a pale pink hand wave to him from a little ways off the ground. Elias tilted his head trying to get a peek at who was up there. It was a feminine and friendly sounding voice, he knew that much. "Seems like you did alright getting up on your own so far..." Elias mused. The boy wasn't sure how smart of an idea it was to climb into a tree after a strange pae, but he had told Daring that he was going on an adventure, and this certainly qualified... Elias began climbing up the tree. He used to climb things all the time with his sticky feet that allowed him to climb things in a way impossible for normal pae. Now... now his feet were just like Daring Do's and unfortunately less climby. He hadn't really tried to climb anything since coming out of his cocoon. He didn't trust these new, somewhat clumsy, hooves of his so much, so he found himself mostly relying on using his arms to pull his small frame up to each branch. When he finally pulled himself up to where the girl was hiding and saw her fluttery form. Well... that was the end of that. The boy was so surprised and startled, he lost his grip on the branch and fell out of the tree and flat on the ground. Elias groaned, he hadn't fallen far, but it was enough to sting both him and his ego.

"But it's more fun to have someone up where with you than alone!" She called back, waiting for him to appear within the tree. It was so strange to meet another guy. The only ones she'd ever known were her brothers and dad. And then next thing she knew there was a bright head of hair right in her line of sight, followed by a pair of eerily familiar wings.
Siofra's jade eyes blinked in shock, the rest of her body utterly frozen. This boy looked a lot like her. Not like her family did, but... Like her. Oh Guardians, how was that even possible? But he must have been just as shocked as she was, or maybe he just wasn't that good at climbing? Either way, Siofra jumped out of her spot, fluttering her new wings just enough to remind her they were there, trying to chase after him. "Are you okay?" She asked, a little frantic. This was the first pae she'd ever seen that even looked close to the way she did!

Elias slowly sat up, a stunned expression still on his face. "Uhm, yeah." he responded not looking up at the girl as he answered her. Elias fluttered his wings in order to shake the dust off them, and then began to brush the dust off the rest of him. When that was done, and only when that was done, did he look up at the girl again, just to be sure he had seen what he thought he had glimpsed up in that tree. Ye-up. "Wow..." Elias said, having no other words to say as he looked at her from bottom up. No, he wasn't checking out her feminine curves. She had the same hooves as him, the same wings as him, the same ears, the same curly antennae-things. "You..." Perhaps this was normal to her, perhaps her whole family looked like her. "I haven't seen anypae that looked like me before." He started out, trying to explain his clumsiness to her. The boy slowly stood himself up, wanting to stop gawking at the female in front of him... but he couldn't help it.

Siofra squeaked, realizing how much this boy looked like her. All that was really different was the markings on their skin. And of course, he was a boy. "Woah..." Her voice was barely above a whisper. There were actually pae that looked like she did? How was that even close to possible?
"I've never seen a pae with these clunky things for feet before!" She quickly changed from shock to glee. "This is so awesome!" The femme was all but jumping in place. "Where did you come from? Are there lots of pae there? Do you really look that different from your family?" She was nothing but one big ball of energetic questions. He had to know something, especially if he had the same kind of wings as her! And those weird little antennae things. "Did you come from a case thingy too?" That was the big one. Apparently her sister, Soliel, did not go into a case thingy. None of her siblings had either. She knew she was different, not that it really ever mattered to her. But maybe this guy knew what was going on, even if he hadn't seen another pae like them before.

"Hooves?" Elias asked, "my mom has them too..." His wings fluttered softly behind him, "But your wings! I have never seen wings like mine." He noticed she had the same little curls on his head that he did too, although he didn't mention it, he couldn't stop staring at her wings. "I came from the tree. They kind of look like me... but they look kind of different too. Not like you, you're almost the same." Elias paused, "Did you used to have a lot of little feet? That was when I really, really looked different from everyone else." He wasn't sure how to describe how the rest of his body was different when he was little. Elias nodded his head very slowly, "Yes, I slept for a very long time."

"Hooves? Is that what they're called?" She looked at him in awe. Her family all had toes, and feets, and legs that didn't bend quite the same way hers did. "The tree? You live in a tree too? That's so awesome!" Siofra bounced, unable to contain it any longer. "I used to have lots of little sticky wiggly feets. Momma said I wasn't even close to what my brothers and sisters looked like when they were little." She grinned.
"Are you hungry?" Instant topic change, she'd just realized that she'd left the house without anything to eat while she was exploring. "I think my mom has something cooking at home if you want to come get a bite or two to eat?" She offered, trying her best not to sound pushy. If he didn't want to come she wasn't gonna make him.

His smile was lopsided, she really was just like him. "And your family isn't the same either?" It made him wonder if they had both come from the same place, at least a long time ago. "Uhm... well, not really..." Elias wasn't that hungry, especially compared to his younger self. He also didn't want to say goodbye, quite yet, to this pae that was just like him. "I guess I could go though... Or if we kept walking together maybe we'd find something?"

"Nope, my family has a bunch of wiggly things at the ends of their feets called toes!" She made a funny face with the end of it, it was nice to meet another pae that was so much like her. At least in appearance. "We didn't even know what these hooves were called until you told me~" Siofra smiled, getting ready to hook an arm through his.
"Ooo, lets keep walking. I've been cooped up for way too long! Between that seriously long nap and everyone looking at me like I'm a completely different pae..." She shook her head, it wasn't something she wanted to think about too much. At least not when it looked like they were about to have fun! "Lets go this way~" The teen suggested, tugging on his arm to indicate the direction. Running, stretching, anything to not feel like she was standing still.

Elias smiled, thankful she agreed with him. "I have been kind of stuck inside for a while too." Elias had agreed. He had been kind of shy coming out of Daring Do's home with these new wings. Everything had been so different around the great tree lately too. Something bad had happened while he was napping. "So you just woke up too?" It sounded like they had woken up at nearly the same time from how she was talking. As the female looped her arm in his the boy couldn't help but blush, thankfully the color wasn't super noticeable on his skin, but he could feel the heat. "Alright," Elias agreed, it made no difference to him which direction they went. He was thankful they were heading further away from the great tree though.

Siofra had been lucky, none of her family had really made her feel like she was strange for waking up one day and being completely different. She'd actually fit in a bit better now than before she'd been hanging from the ceiling. "Yeah, a couple of days ago. How long have you been awake?" She asked, curious.
Siofra had no idea where they were headed. Mostly, she was just moving and following whatever path her hooves could find. It seemed like a good enough idea. At least until she realized she was holding a stranger's arm. Oh Guardians, that was a little... She hadn't even realized she'd done it until a moment ago. A deep blush spread over her face, though it wasn't enough to make her take her arm away. "S-so... What's it like where you live?" Subject change, that was a good idea! Anything to not think about what she'd done on accident.

Elias nodded his head, "Probably about the same." For a moment, it crossed his mind that they could potentially be related. While it would be great to discover his real family, he also doubted it because their markings and colors were nothing alike. The teenage boy had his fingers crossed that she wasn't too. The removal of her arms from his seemed perfectly timed with his thoughts though and he wondered if the same thought had crossed her mind as well. Elias now felt slightly awkward, not that he hadn't been an awkward teenager before that happened. "Well in my mom's home..." It felt so weird to call Daring Do his mom now, he knew better. He had to have a real family somewhere that looked like him. "She does a lot of writing, so there's stuff like that everywhere. She's pretty fairly well known... at least in the tree." Elias wasn't really sure how to describe everything since it was all he knew. "The tree is big, like way bigger than any of these trees. Like, thousands of these trees put together, because there is room for every faun to live in there." "Is that like yours?" Elias asked. She had mentioned a tree as well, he thought.

She listened, in awe that a tree that large could exist without being spotted from the distance. Maybe she was just thinking of the tree she lived in made into like, a thousand trees or something. It would have to be huge!
"My house is... Well it's kinda nothing like yours." Siofra tilted her head. "It's in a tree too, but it's not nearly as big. Mom has a huge kitchen, and a couple of rooms, and a really big living room." She blinked, trying to recall every detail of the tree she called home. "There's a roof over our heads, and always lots of fresh meats, but it's just four of us that live there right now. My brothers and elder sister all live somewhere else, but they're all over a lot." She smiled, looking over to the boy.
"Hey, what's your name?" The femme couldn't believe she'd forgotten to ask that earlier. Of all the important things to know about a pae, their name is at the top of the list! Guardians she was bad at being polite.
