Finally the secret of the Bolf has been released from deep within the castle! Bolfs are very intelligent creatures and are capable of being trained for a variety of helpful tasks. The digits on their wings are more opposable than they appear (much like human hands)! They are capable of carrying things while not in flight, like lanterns to help guide non-dark tribe members through the territory, or a pen... cup.... doll... *ahem* (They cannot hold things while flying, however). NOTES:
Bolf cannot talk. They make squeaky wolf noises.. occasionally full wolf or bat noises.
Bolf come from a very rare subterranean flora (What the plant looks like is unknown at this point... Gabe won't share that right now.). They have no parents.
They are soft and normally have a good temperament! They also like to eat rats. No blood required to keep up with these. Just a good supply of meat.
They are mainly bipedal when not in flight (like a werewolf), but can run very fast on all fours.
They can leap very high so they do not need to launch from any elevated surface to take flight.
Bolfs make excellent seeing eye companions for a Dark member as they can see perfectly well in the Light!
There should be more of them! All you need to do is post the form below. (If you posted a story in the main thread, you may re-post it here, only keep in mind this time it very likely would not IC be a gift from Gabriel. Please make necessary corrections to your entry! IF you really want to use that aspect of the story post you may try, but it has to be a very good reason to be chosen and your entry may be critiqued)

Bolf Theme: Wolf,Wolf
What's the plan? Midna herself is quite fond of wolves and bolfs and it'd be a great companion for her I'd expect she discovered this one not long after she'd been woven. The bolf may have helped her out of a tight spot and thus together they stayed. I'm also working on a plot(Slowly because of work) in which she owns and runs a Mirror shop around the castle. The addition of a bolf would be a great asset to her, not only finding materials in which she could give to the maker of said mirrors but also an extra set of paws to help around the shop. What's the plan? Luminita would be honored to have such a friend. She'd end up asking him to help her get some special materials from the dark caves as costume/Prop pieces for her friend Ruxandra to weave. Not overly extravagant but she values the simple things.

Bolf Theme: wolf, moon
What's the plan? Kyou struggles with being able to relate to others, I imagine he'd use the Bolf as an assistant primarily to help him get materials he needs to make new inventions and tools that he can create in his spare time. Gradually I can see this foster into a friendship of sorts and that the bolf will help aid him in being able to treat others nicely and see things from their point of view. Overall it will over time make him a kinder B'alam, which is good because as it stands currently, he isn't all that sweet. xD

Bolf Theme: wolf & Dedrich himself
What's the plan? Every Brawler secretly wishes for a cornerman, a companion to be there for him through thick and thin. Dedrich specifically also needs someone he can rely on to get him through traveling in the sun as he is extremely blind in the presence of any direct sunlight. The Bolf will be his #1 dedicated fan and trainer/manager in essence. Although communication is not direct, the Bolf will squeak about during down time, goofy as all get out, but howling fiercely to encourage his Brawler to set the bar a little higher. He will be his own hunter, fiercely destroying his prey as his companion Dedrich.

Bolf Theme: Halloween forest
What's the plan? Kaddu visits the Dark Tribe so often, some of his tribe believe he is a Visitor, especially since he rarely talks to others about his comings and goings. The truth is, he is fascinated by Dark Tribe culture and simply likes to spend time in the caves, learning as much as he can and enjoying himself. But, being in the dark too long causes him problems, just like it would to any Light B'alam, and sometimes he forgets how long he has been there. Eventually, his bumbling around in the dark caught the attention of a bored and curious Bolf, who took it upon himself to first tease, then help the B'alam. It took time, but the two gradually formed a bond. Now, not only does the creature carry light for him in the darkness, but he also acts as a kind of therapy animal, nudging and helping his owner whenever he senses trouble. The Bolf in turn is Kaddu's best friend, and the most doted on pet someone could imagine.

What's the plan?

Who knows how it got closer to the surface, where the Tribe lives? Maybe it got a bit turned around, as our world's bats are wont to do sometimes. It'd be funny if Gabriel found this in his castle one day and thought 'wow, this stupid squeaking thing sounds just like a certain b'alam that I know' (who would be Raz of course, because even though we haven't got to RP yet I feel like he'd be comically annoying to most of the other FCs). He would dump the animal on Raz and Raz would fawn over it, though I can definitely see it causing some mayhem in his workshop until Raz managed to gain its trust. Once they've made friends, I can see Raz using it for all sorts of things, especially carrying messages to his coworkers and other little errands. It's also cute to me because the bolf is dull, and Raz is very bright, so they offset one another visually.

What's the plan? Arjun Rama is a bad boy. The kind of bad boy with a devil-may care and daredevil attitude. He's a rebel normally without a cause until now. Growing up from being a troublemaker and loving every minute of it this light pelt male has come to a point in his life where he feels the restrictions placed on him....What's a male to do with himself if he can't really leave the domain of his home without causing the kind of trouble that have dire consequences?
The solution however came to him in form of his mentor to become an apprentice merchant. Yes such a thing was positive and constructive but more importantly it meant socializing and making certain that bargains were met with smooth transactions that were honest. But there was only so much a b'alam can do in terms of reading body language and those little signs of twitches to be sure that someone wasn't lying. He needed a friend to help him determine if someone was making an honest transaction. Yes a little friend who would actually keep this bad boy into a responsible bad boy. A bolf would not just be there to help with trades and watch for anyone who might want to cheat but also a nice companion that will in a way show Arjun to reveal a nicer side to him.

Bolf Theme: No set look; just something the Grave Keeper would be proud to have around. Bones, skulls, blood, fire, eternal darkness. Things like that!
What's the plan? This Bolf would be the familiar of the Grave Keeper of the Dark tribe. While yes, he has his soul-bound, there's nothing quite like the ferocity of a half wolf/half bat. This Bolf would be in charge of being the eyes that Kharon cannot. He'd probably be his messenger as well, seeing as Kharon generally dislikes the company of others and would rather not deal with them. Plus, what's more uncomfortable than a large, dark B'alam with a skull helmet and his accompanying Bolf glaring at you?

What's the plan? Udide is an earth tribe member by weaving, so her ability to see in the dark is not as good as a dark tribe member. For her, the bolf could help her navigate the dark city more easily and help her find her way around the theater. She's afraid to ask her bodyguard for help, because asking him to help her around might distract him from seeing a threat coming at her. What's the plan? Tonal lives on the surface world due to an anomalous claustrophobia. He struggles to see anything during the day due to the bright light, and would be grateful to have a seeing-eye bolf for traveling during the daylight hours.
