You arrive on the center street of a small, dilapidated village. Chalk marks and gouges cover the sides of sturdy stone houses with collapsed thatch rooftops. Patches of some kind of climbing plant have been torn away to accommodate these thoroughly modern additions to the landscape. The cobblestone street on which you stand has begun to sink into a very seasonal mud. Broken stones poke up, a hazard for unwary feet that offers a deep cut or a twisted ankle.

Ahead lies a path to the forest, which will probably offer shelter from the impending downpour. Behind lies what looks like the remnants of an old town hall.

Inside it, something moves, and around you there is a distinct feeling of Chaos. Maybe you'd better hang around for a bit and try to figure out where you are?

MECHANICS
Your opponents will be determined by a 3d6 roll. The first number will indicate the number of enemies in the mob, the second number will tell you the number of youma in the group, and the third number will tell you if there's a Captain in the group or not. There are only three Captains in the game, so once the three Captains have appeared, the third die will be dropped.

First die: Self-explanatory. 1 = One enemy. 6 = six enemies.
Second die: Also pretty self-explanatory. 1 = one youma in the group, 6 = six youma in the group. If there are more youma rolled than there are enemies in the group, then the entire group is youma. There is no overflow.
Third die: If a 2 or a 5 is rolled on the third die, a Captain has appeared.

From there, the DM will roll damage and indicate the senshi/knight each enemy is attacking. To consolidate posts, all of these will be rolled by d12s and in ascending rank order: so youma, then lieutenants, then captains, then generals.

The Negaverse stat table looks like this:
Youma - 50HP | Rolls a 12-sided damage die
Lieutenant - 100HP | Rolls 2d12 [2-24 dmg]
Captain - 150HP | Rolls 3d12 [3-36 dmg]
General - 200HP | Rolls 5d12 [5-60 dmg]

Every player may roll one die (representing their character casting their magic or physically attacking) with each post. The number you roll is the damage you do, so a 10 does 10 damage to any enemy you attack, etc, etc. They must indicate in their post which enemy they are attacking. Once an enemy is KO'd, which will generally be indicated by a DM post, attacks directed towards that enemy will be redirected towards the enemy of the highest level.

You may choose to forfeit rolling physical damage and instead roll for magic damage. Your magic is boosted by the uncorrupted and unbound power of Avalon, allowing you to treat each wave of enemies as a different battle with a reset casting counter. This means that if you get one spell a battle, you will be able to cast once in the first wave, again in the second, and again in the third. Magic attacks are assumed to always hit. If your character casts an AoE attack, then you may select up to three enemies to cast at. If your character casts a non-offensive attack, you won't roll, but you can simply write the effects into your post. Healing spells add a default +50 to the target in question. If you have a specific question on how to handle your attack, please drop me a line!

You will be responsible for maintaining your own health count at the top of your post. Player characters, however, are simply knocked out. They may be resuscitated by a healing spell. Disposable characters die when their health reaches zero, or when their player character wants to kill them (it needn't be when their HP runs out).

Basic/Page - 100HP | Rolls an 8-sided damage die, 12-sided for magic
Super/Squire - 150HP | Rolls a 12-sided damage die, 20-sided for magic
Eternal/Knight - 200HP | Rolls a 20-sided damage die, RNG 1-50 for magic
Royal - 250HP | RNG 1-50 for damage, RNG 1-75 for magic

WAVES
Waves last until all the enemies are down, and there will be three waves. I will post updating each thread at least once a day, but probably more like three or four. After a DM post your character may roll again.

Magic was inconvenient, Palatine decided. She was relieved that Lilah was spending the weekend with Paris and Chris, otherwise she would have had some choice words for whomever or whatever had brought her here.

The Code, more than likely. Whatever that really was. She didn't know whether or not to believe anything she'd heard at Olympus, but as she had nothing else to blame at the moment she thought it appropriate to place fault in what she knew had the power to do such things.

Of course, there was that whole matter of Paris and Chris being a Senshi and a Knight to take into account. If she'd been brought here, what was to say they hadn't been brought here as well? In which case she really needed to get home. The idea of a two-year-old at home by herself made Palatine feel even more like a terrible mother than she already did.

And this time it wasn't even her fault.

Hastily she duck into a the pocket of her jacket and produced a scrap of paper the stub of an old pencil she made sure to carry with her whenever she was out patrolling, scrolling two brief notes—one to Valhalla in the hopes of assuaging her guilt, and another to Sessrumnir.

'Did you get whisked away too? - Palatine'

Once she was done she stamped it with her ring and hoped for the best as the scraps disappeared. Then Palatine looked over her surroundings with little interest. Cobbled streets. Stone houses. Thatched roofs. Okay, so not Olympus. Some place distinctly medieval. That answered nothing, but at least she knew where she was not. The sky looked fit to burst at any moment and she felt Chaos signatures coming from the direction of an old building that might have been some sort of a town hall.

She didn't bother summoning her weapon. She questioned if it could even be called that, and instead looked around her for anything that might be appropriate with which to do battle. Otherwise she'd simply have to resorts to her fists.

“I suppose its too much to ask this war or this code thing for a little bit of consideration,” she mumbled to herself.

SIlas had been studying for finals when he felt a familiar tugging sensation, like when he had gone to his wonder (something he seriously needed to do again). Sure enough, the word blurred around him, and he found himself unceremoniously dumped on the ground somewhere as Glitnir. It took him a while to even realize what had just happened, and when he did, he scrambled to his feet as fast as he could. Something was very wrong here, to say the least. He was in some sort of rural village, and he could feel Chaos oozing from somewhere. He could also feel another Knight aura nearby, that of a Squire, to be precise. After looking around for a moment, he laid eyes on Palatine. "Uh, hi. I'm Glitnir. I take it you got whisked off from whatever you were doing, too?"

Arkady had left four hours ago.

That was not anything worth getting worried over. She was doing a lot of work to restore her wonder to its proper state, and Babylon was frankly proud of her dedication to the project. He hadn't been back to see what progress she had made, but-

He hadn't exactly expected what he assumed to be the Code's summons to bring him to see for himself. He'd been expecting Olympus, and perhaps some silly errand for... never mind. He didn't know what he'd been expecting.

"This is Avalon," he said, glancing around. He recognized the nearby Mars knight immediately. "Glitnir!" Babylon called, moving towards him. He recognized the blonde Venus knight as well, he decided. "Palatine. Nice to see you."

"Ar-- Avalon Page should be here somewhere," he said, frowning slightly. He could feel chaos nearby, likely somewhere on the island. It made his stomach churn. "If we've been brought here... Do you feel that? She might be in trouble."

“Palatine, nice to meet you,” she said to the page who approached her. She made note of the symbols etched upon his bracers, belt, and shin guards. Mars, then.

She spared a glance for Babylon as well. She recognized him, of course, but knew very little about him, just that he'd organized a little knight get-together a while back. She was glad, however, to have a name for the place they'd all been whisked away to. Nonplussed, Palatine couldn't decide whether to be surprised or not.

In any case, she jerked her chin in the direction of the building that looked like a town hall. “In there, I think,” she said.

It reeked of Chaos. Determined to get this over with sooner rather than later, Palatine took a few steps toward the building.

“If this is Avalon, what're they doing here?” Palatine said. “I didn't think Chaos could reach our wonders. Unless someone failed to tell me that. I don't think I sense a knight in there, though. Could be your friend's somewhere else.”

Scout Sandrine

Progress had been made in the prop room rearrangement- there was no room for the pieces the seamstress and tailor were working on for the spring performances at the start, and there was a whole corner readied by the time Jack felt a stomach flop-turn-wheeze, and there was a derelict ...movie set?

Good grief what happened to the rooves? Where are the people? Where is HERE? Oh wait...I'm in that outfit again. That outfit being the notably, inappropriately scanty for winter weather. Sandrine wrapped arms round each other, rubbing biceps and turned on the cobbles hearing voices and the sense of others near prompting a panic. What others, and how to read the auras, was still a mystery to actual experience. The motion was too fast- one of the broken stones caught on the red-stained platform boot sole.

The red blotches seemed prophetic, except Sandrine warbled while crowstepping to get feet back under self fast enough to successfully prevent a full spill. The young scout ended out not fallen, but Bambi-legged in a spindly partial split over mud and cobbles and staring at the knights not far away.

"Heya...cool peeps. Hope your friendlies? Please be friendlies."

It was damp and chilly wherever she'd been transported. Nothing so bad as the bitter winter that December was shaping up to herald, but Hvergelmir Knight was glad for her new cloak nevertheless: it was surprisingly effective at keeping off the chill.

A quick survey of her surroundings told her relatively less by sight than by feel. By sight, she was standing in an old village, long gone to ruin, near the edge of a deep wood. The ground showed uneven cobblestones grouted with mud, and the sky promised rain and more mud to come with it. Wherever this was, she hadn't been here before -- and it was not Destiny City.

By feel, she learned more. Her senses told her there was auric activity nearby. In the immediate vicinity, the silhouettes in the damp fog revealed themselves to be knights -- one at each rank from page to squire to knight. Farther off, less clearly -- maybe just harder to pinpoint because she couldn't find the source of it -- she could also detect the heavy push of Chaos's broad aura like a humid weight on her shoulders.

She summoned her staff to hand -- tall now, towering higher than it had ever been as a page or a squire -- and closed the distance between her position and the three knights in the open town square. Perhaps they'd already worked out more of what was going on before her arrival.

Proximity revealed what appeared to be a page of Mars, a squire of Venus, and a very -- happily -- familiar knight of Mercury.

"Babylon!" she said, making her way to his side since he was the only person she knew in the group. Then, rather than asking what they were doing here -- since she was sure they'd get to that -- and because he was her friend and it had been painfully long since they'd seen each other -- she banished her distaff and pushed forward to enfold him in an enthusiastic hug.

It looked to Babylon that he'd arrived right on time, just a bit after the first to get there and before some others - so he wouldn't have to worry about apologizing for being late. It was always awkward when that happened - especially if this was a situation where he might have a leg up or useful information, by virtue of having some semblance of any idea of what had happened here.

Well, he'd been to Avalon before. Anyone's guess was as good as his when it came to what was going on here now. "Avalon's... a bit weird at the moment," he said to Palatine. "On account of... things. And stuff." It wasn't really his business to go explaining - not when he didn't rightfully know what was going on here. Not completely, at least - and Avalon wasn't here for him to ask questions.

"We're friendlies, yeah," he said, looking briefly over at the senshi. They weren't anyone he'd ever met before, and if he had to guess, he'd say they were very green. Could the code call Senshi, though?

Well, this was getting weirder by the second. Babylon turned to Hvergelmir, a wide grin crossing his face. "Hver!" he exclaimed. "You look - you look great!" He'd seen her as a knight before in a dream - but in person, her splendor was far greater, and unmarred by the horrible scars she'd borne in... he didn't want to call it a prophecy. "Avalon left to come here a few hours ago. I'm - I'm worried about her."

It took more than most things to surprise Delilah now. Ever since becoming a senshi, the unexpected became...well....expected. What had surprised her, as well as those that new her, was that she was still a normal rank senshi. It didn't bother Delilah. She chalked it up to the fact she avoided fighting and stuck to information gathering.

So when one moment she is sitting in her room going over her end of the semester assignment and the next, she's landing on cold, hard stone, one would expect that she just groaned.

Sailor Phact had managed to land smack on a pile of rocks that faced the town square. Her white outfit had appeared during the sudden teleportation which took her within ear shot of a group of people.

Forcing herself not to curse the turn of events, Phact rather focused on their conversation before jumping in with "And who is Avalon? Not to mention, where is here?"

Pushing herself up off the rocks, Phact started to walk towards what a quick glance told her was a group of knights and a senshi she had never seen before. "I take it chaos is messing with things they shouldn't again?" Phact commented as she moved to crack her back before glancing around.

"Thank you," Hvergelmir told her friend, stepping back. "I feel great. I just wish the circumstances weren't so... Well, I mean -- this shouldn't be possible, should it? Traveling to someone's wonder without them taking us there. I can't imagine the Code getting involved like this if it wasn't," She swallowed nervously. "... serious."

The last time the Code had pulled so many of them to one place had been the Mistral tragedy. People had died, then -- and Chaos hadn't even been there. If the Code was intervening like this -- and if Avalon was missing -- those were bad signs. Especially given whatever had happened here that had led to Avalon's purification.

"So, um, hi everybody," she said, looking around at their growing group. It wasn't just knights either, this time -- there were two senshi now, as well. "I'm Hvergelmir of the Cosmos. Glowy light magic, kind of a noncombatant, um -- and I have a big staff. That's it, I guess. Hi."

Oh thank you, powers that be...or whatever else is arranging this shindig.

Would the magicky wibbly woo seriously stick some poor single sot in front of like...a whole pack of enemies? Sandrine hoped that wouldn't ever prove to be the case. Or at least that when it came, experience accrued would have provided the necessities to handle the situation. As it were, some of them plainly already knew each other.

Or the self-introduced Hverblewarble was into hugfests like no one else. No kidding on the non-combatant thing- that's a rockin' evening gown though. We could get you some fans and maybe then you could knock anyone dead. And that guy...oh man...I want a jacket like that.

"....San...drine? Yeah, I'm supposed to be Sandrine. I guess. Something like that." More careful about footing this time, the senshi of execution righted self to stand like a regular person and offer an limp wave while looking impressed at each of them in turn. "We're gonna have to be combating with our fists and stuff?"

Oh god, how do. How do punch things. But it sounds like one of their friends is in trouble. 'Avalon'. Maybe the exactly where here is matters a little less, compared to someone in trouble. 'Avalon'...what, like insula Avalonia? "After we find your Avalon and make sure they're safe?"

Unusually Marlin was for once not up on his balcony when the tug came. Instead he was in the kitchen dishing take out chinese into a bowl and anticipating settling into the sofa and watching a bit of tv whilst he ate the duck in plum sauce and rice that he'd gone out to pick up.

He got as far as settling in the arm chair and picking up the remote to switch the television on and then the tug came and as his surroundings shifted, Marlin couldn't help but wonder what the Code wanted with him this time round.

As he was still in a seated position when his surroundings changed, his introduction as Falias to his new surroundings was via his butt meeting the cobblestone street as he lost his balance and toppled over.

It didn't put Falias in the best of moods, especially was he realised that he hadn't been the only person to be pulled to.. Well wherever here was.

He picked himself up from the ground feeling in parts annoyed and embarrassed at his undignified dumping, confused because this was neither Destiny City or Olympus and apprehension because the last time that the Code had pulled so many people to same place had been because of Mistral... And the least said about Mistral the better.

This wasn't Mistral though, wasn't Mercury, in fact he'd thought he'd heard someone say something about Avalon.

He could sense chaotic auras nearby as he glanced warily about him, sticking quietly to the outskirts of the group that seemed to be a mixture of senshi and knight - well okay mainly knight with a couple (at least he thought it a couple) of senshi.

Glitnir filed Palatine's name into his mind just as more pressing matters entered the picture. He stepped towards Babylon at roughly the same time as he stepped towards him. "Hey, Babylon! Long time no see! Did you get my ring-mail? Like... the one I sent you a few months ago when I found my signet ring? There might've been a few others. Not sure." He had wanted to know the identity of the (quite beautiful, he would add) Cosmos Knight who seemed so friendly with Babylon, but eventually she identified herself. "Nice to meet you, Hvergelmir. And everyone else." He found himself looking at Hvergelmir a little longer than he probably should have. It wasn't a predatory look, but it definitely conveyed interest. And the question sort of flew out of his mouth, though at least he was able to lower his voice a bit before he did. "Um, how do you two know each other? You and Babylon, I mean. Are you two... uh, never mind." Whoops.
