Starlight had been missing in action for a while now, the winter had brought with it cold and the young filly had found herself struck with illness, unable to leave the den in quite some time, it might have been a couple of weeks but to her it felt like wears. Now recovered she found herself wandering through the snow, trying to hunt down a private spot in the forest where she could practise her songs. Her throat was still sore and she was worried about the affect that would have on her music, however she was more scared about the lack of practise she was putting in. She needed to know if the winter had robbed her voice. She really did hate this season, why was her beloved autumn so far away?
Finally she came across a place that seemed quiet enough, she looked around for any sign of life, the lack of prints in the snow was comforting, a sign that nobody had walked through here this morning. She paused for a moment or two, scared to find out how much her progress had deteriorated in the last few weeks. A few deep breaths and a little courage and the filly started to sing:
"Red like roses fills my dreams and leads me to the place you rest..."
