 Long since the beginning of time there has been peace in the Kingdom of Chawan. A million years have passed and the Empire is in turmoil. The Current Emperor, though young, has taken on new brides to live in his harem. Though nothing is as it seems. There is betrayal, maybe even a traitor to the empire in the Harem. Will the Emperor take on a bride to be his Empress or will the Empire be at war and completely destroy a once peaceful kingdom.

5. The first person to ask unless I say no is the emperor others will have to either be a harem or any other position that is in the palace. (This role is a serious role that is why I have a right to deny this spot. Meaning now over the top drama. No trying to kill oneself because you don't get your way and no being silly. Other parts can be silly but not this one.)

My life so far: I'm part of a particularly underhanded trader family, and I've been trained for years to take on this role. Through my position as the eldest daughter of one of the richest families in Chawan I managed to find my way into the harem, and I plan to marry the emperor in order to bring more power to both me and my family.

I claim the emperor (because I don't normally rp guys. haha.). But my computer refuses to boot up and i am to poor to fix it atm. During christmas week i'll try to get on (I'm with my family, so i can use theirs).

(I think we can start) Mei had been summoned to the kingdom of Chawan to become a bride of the current Emperor. She was doing this for her family the one that she had known her whole life. She had fallen asleep in the carriage that had come to take her to the palace. There was a tap on front of the carriage which woke Mei up. "Miss we are almost to the palace." Not long after that they arrived and Mei was whisked away to get done up so that she can meet the Emperor with the rest of the brides. Her hair was done up and she was put into a blue dress and then was told to line up.

Lei sat as the desk in his bedroom, pretending to be reading. But he was really staring into the pages without seeing them, and thinking. Today was a day he faced with hesitation. It was the day those women came to be part of his harem.
The young emperor could choose to just treat it as another lesson in ruling, but he knew that having them around would make his life even more complicated than it already was.He was no stranger to women's beds, but at sixteen he was expected to pay no more attention to any women other than the noble ladies who would be inducted into his harem.
He knew he would have to keep his wits about him if they were anything like his mother had been. At this point he may as well expect it. But he had a secret wish; one he could not consider vocalizing ever. But it was not one he expected to ever be granted to him. He sighed.
A servant knocked and then entered and kowtowed. Lei closed his book, all business. "Rise." The servant raised his head and sat back on his folded legs. "It is time, your highness." "Very well." Kei said, rising to his feet. With a rustle of cloth, he swept out of the room and walked to his throne room, where he was to officially greet the noble women in question.

Jing stood in line with the other girls of the harem, waiting to meet Emperor Lei. She had been preparing for this opportunity for many years, and she knew that she would be empress, her honor, and that of her family, demanded nothing less.
She had spent much of the last few days preparing, and her outfit had been custom made just for this occasion. This was to be her day, the first of many.

As the emperor entered the room instead of curtsying like the other ladies of the harem Mei had gone straight into the knotowed forgetting that she was now a lady. Some of the women looked over and started to giggle. Years of her being in the fields of her families farm had kind of made it so that she only knew one life and that was a of peasant. She continued to question why she was here and wondered how her family was doing. She looked up trying to see what was so funny but then looked down not thinking that she was worthy of looking up at the Emperor. She had noticed a girl in the line that seemed like she was all high and mighty and she was giving off this vibe that she did not like.

Kei sat on his throne as the strange woman kowtowed. He gave the giggling women a look before looking down upon the young woman before him. "Rise." He said. "You may curtsy or bow from the waist, not kowtow." He told her. Although he kept his face straight from years of practice, he was surprised the woman had genuflected like a peasant, but was also slightly amused. He signaled the herald who began to introduce each lady by name, age and where they were from.
He looked at each woman as she was presented to him, trying to ascertain what they were like merely from this short and formal meeting.
((Edit: I wish we had more players....Like more harem ladies and maybe some officials.))

Mei did as she was told and rose and did a small curtsy but still did not look up at the Emperor. She blushed because she was embarrassed. When she was finally introduced she was gracefully lead to in front of the Emperor where she gave a small curtsy once more. "Miss Li-Mei, age 19. Miss Li-Mei comes from a small farming village outside of Chanwa. She enjoys singing and dancing as well as helping take care of her 12 brothers and sisters. She can sew and cook and according to her village she is the most loyal girl they have the honor of knowing and that she has no dishonest bone in her body." After that being said Mei was lead back to the line. She wanted to really go outside really badly. She had already made a full of herself once in front of him and now he knew that she was a peasant made it even worse. She waited for all the girls to be introduced to the Emperor. (I know what you mean I will introduce Mei's real family later in the story and and a few profiles for them.

Jing smiled as she was led in front of the Emperor
If this is to be my competition, she thought to herself, Then this is going to be way too easy
She bowed from the waist as she was introduced, smiling as sweetly as she could, though it looked more sly than anything, giving her a fox-like quality to her face. "Miss Yu-Jing, age 21. Miss Yu-Jing comes from a large and wealthy trade here in Chawan. She is very clever and enjoys music and theater."
