Lovely Belrose did not like Destiny City.

The public transportation, in his opinion, was awful, and the traffic was just as bad. Destiny City smelled terrible even in the nicer parts of town, like wet garbage on a humid summer evening. Nearly every corner of the city looked decrepit, though considering the war going on he supposed that was to be expected.

And then, of course, there was that very war to hinder his once comfortable way of life.

Lovely didn't have anything personal against the Senshi. Sure, there was that whole matter with Ilian Jones's brother being killed by one, but that was Ilian's problem, not Lovely's. If Lovely had a problem, that problem was Ilian himself. If not for him, Lovely never would have allowed himself to get dragged into it all.

He was handling it to the best of his abilities, making the most of it now that he found himself involved. There were worse after-school activities, especially at this hell-hole they called Azure Valley. For such a prestigious place, it was lacking in those subjects Lovely actually showed interest in.

High school was so juvenile to begin with. It was all one big popularity contest. Lovely didn't care much for it unless it was a contest he was winning.

At the moment, he was losing miserably.

By all rights, being so pretty should have at least endeared him to the females that attended Azure's sister school, Crystal Academy, whether or not it endeared him to his own classmates. Unfortunately, it seemed he was a bit misunderstood. People claimed he was rude and arrogant. Lovely didn't think he was, but naturally the opinions of others mattered more than his own in this s**t place.

With no one to sit with during lunchtime (he'd not bothered to make any friends with any of the many groups of geeks and nerds), Lovely found himself a nice empty table in the corner and tossed his lunch tray onto the tabletop with a clatter. The tray itself was heaped with french fries and a pool of catch-sup. Lovely sat heavily onto one of the chairs, glaring at the rest of the cafeteria as he tore into his sad excuse for a lunch.

It couldn't be helped. The rest of the food they offered looked revolting.
