I'm at that point in my life where I'm about to make a pretty big decision. Well, personally I have been questioning it, but that's beside the point. I'm about to transfer to another community college and enroll in a program for people with high-functioning autism. Life is just one of those things, and if there is an opportunity to improve yourself, grab it and hold on tight before you lose sight of what you want to do next with your life. As I said, I'm skeptical of the program, but I'm trying my best to keep an open mind and embrace my current situation.
In the past, I have had some ok experiences with special ed. At some point in our lives, there will be a few (hopefully not many) rotten experiences that shape our view of the world around us. With that said, I'm still waiting for the people behind the program to respond. I may get in, I may not... don't get me wrong, I want to get in. I'm just crossing my fingers that it won't be dumbed down. I'm somewhat of a pessimist by nature. I'm also a little cautious and aware of goes on around me. Who really knows what could happen.... wink
