Liam's shop, forge, and home. (Will be editing this later and making it a bit more in depth)

Look in my eyes I'll make you see, we're drifting aimlessly,
Blind in a world of make believe,

I've got no hands in matters worldy, I hardly care at all,
What's going on fails to concern me,

"The mind is a fascinating thing indeed, as it would at times willingly break itself just to save itself."

"Angel...leave me alone." Liam muttered quietly, flicking a hand out to the side as though to shoo someone away from him before he shifted slightly, burying his face further into the gap between his folded arms, as though that would protect him from the paw that continued to prod at him lightly. Only this time the paw was poking at his head and hair instead of his face. It was rather irritating honestly. "Angel seriously leave me be, I'm still upset with you." He muttered again, only this time his voice was a little clearer and held the slightest hint of a growl to it. Sometimes that was the only way to get her to stop. Though sometimes that also just further encouraged her.

Of course he was in for a rude awakening when suddenly he heard a hiss and there were claws and teeth digging into his hair, and a cats back feet kicking at him...claws extended. With a hiss of his own he suddenly jolted up and back, nearly falling from his seat at the counter, but just managing to catch himself before he actually did. When he finally regained his composure he turned on the culprit, about to snap at Angel again, when instead he found himself facing a very aggravated, and very real, fluffed up feline that looked about ready for a second round if Liam were to try and ignore him and sleep again.

"Wait...I fell asleep? Damn..when, for how long? What time even is it?" He said, suddenly jumping out of his seat, gaze flicking about the shop rapidly as he tried to find the clock. It actually took him a moment to realize that the room was dark. He had never turned on the lights, which meant he must have slept for hours. Probably passed out sometime soon after he'd gotten back earlier in the day. Hopefully nothing had been stolen. People were usually in and out of his shop pretty often. Never know if one might decide to just help themselves to the things there while he slept. Cursing quietly under his breath, he moved to turn on the light, his cat, Shadow, watching him as he went, closely, tail flicking harshly as a clear sign of frustration.

Of course he'd be upset. He probably hadn't fed him before he'd passed out. He couldn't blame him for being in a pissy mood this time.

'I can't believe I fell asleep in the first place though. That's not like me. Did I take the wrong pain medication earlier? But I swear I took the one that wasn't supposed to make me drowsy...Maybe my mind just couldn't handle the stress of the last several days and the use of Angel earlier in the day and finally gave in.' He thought to himself, bringing his hand up and running it through his hair as he stared over at Shadow who still stood staring at him on the counter. What he hadn't realized, however, as he had been distracted by his thoughts and his cat, was that he didn't have his gloves on at the moment. This wouldn't have been an issue if he'd been paying attention, but because he wasn't, when he went to move his hand away from his hair he instead felt it pull harshly, and he winced at the small spark of pain that hit him, though it was more out of surprise than it was of anything else.

He'd forgotten about the piercings on his hand. That was his mistake. He was a serious mess today it seemed. Reaching up with his free hand he carefully freed his hair, then sighed and moved to turn on the light so he could go to feed his cat. At least if the lights were out there was less of a chance that someone had come into the shop while he'd been asleep. At least once it started getting darker anyways. Reaching the light switch, he was about to flip it up when he suddenly heard a laugh in the corner of his shop. It was quiet, muffled, but it was a sound he'd recognize from anywhere. Angel.

How long had she been standing there watching him? "Exactly how long have you been standing there? Do I want to know? And what exactly do you think you're laughing like that at? It's your fault I'm even in this state to begin with. I mean, I know I asked this earlier, but who the hell told you it was a good idea to throw yourself through the window? I told you to find a way to distract them so Craith wouldn't flip out further with that woman and cause more damage than he could cover up, I didn't give you control so you could use my body to throw it violently through glass. I mean it might have been different if it had done something useful in the end but all you did was give the other person more of an opening to make the situation worse by only managing to catch that damned birdbrains attention and not the womans too. I doubt it kept her from realizing he was the cause of the issue with the glass even." He snapped out at the woman standing in the corner, who had suddenly stopped laughing, though that didn't stop the small smile on her face as she watched him flick on the light and head towards where he kept Shadow's food.

"Once again, it was your fault for leaving me in control in the first place so suddenly and in such a tense situation because you didn't want to deal with it yourself. I mean really, why are you so worried about them knowing it was you? No..never mind don't answer that. There's no point I already know. I honestly just think you are being silly. You can't just expect them to believe you never involve yourself in things that happen in this city. Nor can you just avoid doing so all the time. No matter how much you try." She said, her cat like ears twitching as she watched him for a moment, before she found her gaze sliding to Shadow, who, if she didn't know any better, seemed to be staring right at her with a rather disapproving look on his face. Of course she knew he wasn't really looking at her...but sometimes the cat managed to unnerve even her. At least..that's the way it seemed to Liam as he watched her back down finally. With one last look at him, she turned and headed out of the room. Where she was going, he had no clue, nor did he care right that moment.

Remembering what had happened earlier had reminded him of the glass he'd had to remove from some of the cuts he'd gotten, and the stinging, aggravating pain was suddenly back, with a vengeance. Wincing, he slowly crouched to open a drawer in the refrigerator where he kept Shadow's food. He didn't eat normal cat food. Instead he made him a mix of raw meats and a few other things, and stored it in the fridge until it was time to feed him. Usually Shadow preferred it warm but he seemed rather impatient this time, and decided that scaling his leg to get to the counter and clawing his hand once there was a good way to make him put the food down faster. Well it worked.

When he set the food down for him, he watched for a few moments as he immediately shoved his face in the bowl and started to eat, practically inhaling the food at first, before he finally reached up and pet him a few times. After a moment he started making his way back into the other room, where he paused, staring at the door for a few seconds, contemplating whether he wanted to keep the shop open or not that night.

"I might as well...I mean the shop might as well have been closed most of the day because of me passing out. I should just leave it open for a few more hours at least." He said, sighing as he heard what sounded like quiet footsteps somewhere behind him. He chose to ignore them. There were only three human like hallucinations of his that could walk that quietly and he didn't want to deal with either of them right then. Especially not if it ended up being one in particular.

When this world is no more, the moon is all we'll see.

The flight to Reim was pretty long and very tiring. He had teleport over Hinas out of caution more than anything. It also cut down on his time. He couldn’t really do that over open area, or at least it would be more exhausting if he did. Once he reached the city limit of Reim, he landed and chose to walk and warp where he needed to. If took longer, but gave him a break from flying. Flying that fast for that long left him hungry, tired and a bit dizzy sometimes.

Carefully following his GPS, he managed to get to the store with only getting lost once. It was a long walk to get to it though and he was happy to finally arrive. The outside of the store looked okay. There was no immediate red flags telling him he needed to turn around and never come back.

Stepping into the store, his attention was instantly grabbed by all the swords and other metal works in the shop. They were all good quality from what he could tell. The store also contained more weapons than he thought. Swords, knives, arrows, and other weapons he was less familiar with lined the walls and cases. He told himself he would have to come back and look at the throwing knives and arrows another time. Today is for Nik, don’t get distracted, he told himself. He spun around searching for someone that worked there, almost jumping when he noticed a man standing behind the counter. How he hadn’t noticed him when he first came in would forever remain a mystery.

Quickly he made his way over to the counter. “Hi. I need a sword. Well, I need a sword fixed. Or replicated if it’s too damaged to be fixed,” he said, wincing at the last part. He hoped it wasn’t that badly broken. “I also need it done as soon as possible and maybe another sword that can be a stand-in till the one gets fixed.” Just in case something happened and Nik needed to fight. “Also, I’m not concerned about price. I need these swords.” It was his fault this happened, and he was more than willing to pay an arm and a leg to fix it.

I'll ask you to fly away with me.

"The mind is a fascinating thing indeed, as it would at times willingly break itself just to save itself."
______________________________________________________________

The morning was slow, quiet, calm, and the rain outside seemed to have slowed over night, being reduced to a light drizzle where the night before there had been a major downpour. At least there was no chance of Reim falling into a drought right? With all the rain it got, and the water that ran off of the mountains back in the ruined part of the city. Honestly though, Liam was grateful for the calm, the peace. It seemed like there had been a distinct lack of it as of late with all the troublemakers running around the city, and then on top of that, there was the event the other day he had chosen to get involved with. "Yeah that was honestly a mistake, I should have just avoided it entirely..That damn man and his habit of picking fights when he shouldn't." Instead of successfully distracting anyone, he was pretty sure they had just made a bigger mess of the shops windows than what would have happened because of that hard headed fighty and reckless man from before. Not only that but it had resulted in him being injured as well, and even though the wounds weren't actually all that bad, that didn't mean it wasn't still an uncomfortable experience. Didn't mean the slight twinges of pain weren't enough to be annoying. At least stitches weren't necessary, they would heal well enough.

"Not like it matters. I should stop thinking about it, and just enjoy this small reprieve from the constant chaos of this city before it's brought to a grinding halt by some other disaster prone thing or person. I have enough on my hands with my nonexistent friends that keep paying me visits on a near daily basis." He muttered aloud as he moved to the door, reaching forward and unlocking it before putting the sign outside that said his shop was open. Letting it close behind him he turned and moved towards the back to check the forge. He had started heating it earlier but had been distracted by Shadow rather aggravatedly clawing him again, insisting that he gave him his food before he ran off and got too caught up in something again to do so. He still felt at least slightly guilty about the night before, and of having left the feline without any kind of food for near the entire day, so he'd decided to treat him, leaving a few extra bits of meat in the bowl for him than he usually did. At least for now he would be kept busy and away from his legs or him in general.

He wasn't sure he could put up with any more scratches right then, whether from glass or his cat. Then again, with his line of work that was near impossible to avoid. Scratches, the occasional burn, or something slightly worse depending on the state of his mind and how tired he was. At least he wouldn't have to worry too much about his hallucinations this time around. He'd already taken his medication. Now it was time to hope that it did it's work and helped to suppress their activity.

"I could only hope."

After a few moments of adding heat and flames to the forge, he moved away from it and shifted his attention to the rope he had hanging from one side of the room to the other, sheets of paper hanging from them with orders and a sort of to do list he'd compiled for himself so that he would remember what he needed to make sure was done today. At least the daggers he'd needed to repair for one rather unfortunate man were already finished. He just had to check how the enchantment process had settled with the new and old metal mixture and hope it had taken to it so he didn't have to apply another layer or another line of runes. The metal was old, not of the greatest quality, and it was a lot more difficult to get elemental energies to be willing to work with something like that, especially when it had needed repaired and new metal was added. The mixture either had helped it, or hindered it. Time would only tell.

After going over the list he pulled a few tabs down, and headed for the front counter, scanning over the contents of them and preparing to start work.

"There's no way I can manage this. I still haven't found anyone else who could supply me with enough metal for this. The mixture is expensive to begin with. I need to find someone who isn't going to overprice it just because they know the demand for it..." He set the tabs down on the counter and leaned forward on it, slowly pulling the gloves he'd had on his hand while checking the forge off and setting them aside to trace a finger over the list again. 'I mean I suppose I could make a small mixture but that's risky when there could be someone who wants their weapon infused to make it more resistant. I only have so much..Yeah...I think I'll wait till I can get another shipment in before I do this. It can wait. The situation isn't all that dire.' He thought to himself as he slid his finger down to the next thing on the list. Another metal mixture. This one a lot more simple, by far. High Carbon Steel. He had more than enough material to do this. Although first he probably should at least check the daggers he'd been working the before.

Quickly, he pulled away from the counter and started towards the back, moving to find where he'd placed the weapons, grabbing the container he'd kept them in, and moving back towards the front. He barely had time to set it down and open it before there was the sound of the door to his shop opening, and a rather disgruntled, either accident prone or fight prone male with reddish eyes and dark brown maybe black hair stepped through. It seemed as though the moment he walked in, his attention, instead of going to him, was on the assortment of weapons he had on the walls and in the display cases along the front of the store. He raised an eyebrow, watching him carefully as he gently moved the box with the daggers to the side, covering them back up as he waited for him to either ask something or to finally approach him in general.

After a few moments of most likely sating his curiosity his focus seemed to shift to him, though he obviously had trouble locating him at first. It didn't help that when he did, he seemed startled, as if he really hadn't noticed him there when he'd walked in. He quirked an eyebrow, near showing the slightest hint of a smile, but shifting and clearing his throat a bit instead. Well...he could already tell this day was going to be interesting. And what was that thought earlier about enjoying the peace before another disaster prone person or thing showed up to wreck it?

Maybe he was jumping rather quickly to conclusions but judging by the bandages that seemed to be all over the guy, he obviously either got into a lot of fights, or he was a magnet for some kind of misfortune.

"Oh? Well, hello to you too, and if you want a sword fixed, you certainly came to the right place....but..are you quite alright if you don't mind me asking? You seem rather disgruntled or like you're in a bit of a hurry. Is the situation that bad?" He asked moving over to the other side of the counter and tapping the surface to signal for him to bring the damaged sword to him. Judging by the way he was talking, he was seriously worried that the blade might be beyond repair. If he was so worried that he would suggest replication if it couldn't be fixed, he figured it must be one of rather great importance. He only hoped it wouldn't need to go as far as making a whole new blade. "Actually, why don't you bring the blade here and let me examine it while you talk. I may need to ask a few questions about it, and if you can answer me, it might help the process go along more smoothly, but if you can't then that's fine too. I'll try and figure things out as I go."

Reaching over he picked up the gloves he'd just removed from his hands, and set them on his other side, just in case he'd need them while handling the broken blade.

"Though I guess the first question is, are these...swords...yours? You seem willing to go pretty far to get them fixed, throwing things out there like you don't care about the price. Are the materials rare or something? I mean most people usually come in here more worried about the price of things rather than whether they can even be fixed or not...I don't know I guess I'm just curious."

When this world is no more, the moon is all we'll see.
⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯

Ashe almost cried in relief when he heard that this man could indeed fix swords. He would have actually cried if he had the wrong place. He really shouldn't have been surprised by the question, given how he looked at the moment. His panicking state of mind probably didn't help either. He had to take a deep breathe and force himself to slow down before answering, "I'm fine. I just really need to fix this...," he gestured to himself and the bag. "mess." More like disaster, he thought making a face.

He nodded and brought his bag up to the counter. The chance of him being able to answer any specific questions was slim to none and there was no way he was messaging Nik about it unless he had to. The longer he could put off the yelling and disappointment the better. Reaching into the bag, he fished out the first piece. He was being careful not to stab himself, but after hearing his first question he jerked and cut his hand on a piece. Son of a-, he thought, snatching his hand out and inspecting the cut. It wasn't deep, but it had cut through some of the bandages already on his hand. He wasn't sure how to answer his question. The swords weren't his, but he didn't exactly steal them either. "They aren't mine. They're my friend's. And he doesn't know I broke one. Yet." Carefully, he set all the pieces down on the counter. "So, this is the one that's broken. I brought the other one cause they're a set." He went ahead and put the unbroken sword on the counter. "I have no idea what they're made of or if they're enchanted." He hoped they weren't. If they were, he hoped it was something that could be replicated. "This was the first time I got the chance to really look at them and you can see how that went," he said gesturing to the sword. He had to take another deep breath before he sent himself into another panic session. "I was hoping you'd be able to tell from the other one what its made of and whether or not they were enchanted."

"And no I don't care about the price. That made be weird, but I care more about Nik not murdering me with the remaining sword than how much its going to cost to fix it." He knew Nik wouldn't actually hurt him. Yell, sure. Be highly disappointed and lecture him. It was inevitable at this point. "They're Nik's swords. In case that wasn't clear." He felt dumb for clarifying, but he wanted to make sure there was no confusion.

"Do you think you can fix it?" He asked after a moment.

I'll ask you to fly away with me.
