Asrahs was not sulking! She was just so tired of waiting. Babies coming seemed to take forever and really she wanted to be home with her papas and was not really in the mood to share them even if she knew it was good that they were here. Folding her arms over her chest she thought about this feeling a bit cold inside. She had lost her family and had been so happy when Papa Natu and Papa Vivekia had taken her in. She shouldn’t be so grumpy about having to come and wait while they helped with a new baby for their family. After all it was a new family member for her too right? She tiled her head back and let out a long big breath. Yes, it was a new member to her family but it would be too small for her to play with and everyone would want to play with it and not her. Walking she saw a wind lady grinding something up and a few pictures near her. They were kinda pretty and she wondered how long the paintings would stay. Maybe she could ask her papas about getting one later. Moving on Asrahs wound back up near where she and her papas were staying. Giving a long bored sigh she decided she was going to find something fun to do. The problem was everyone who would play was on baby duty which meant she had to just come up with a game by herself. Clenching her fists by her side she nodded determined and spun around ready to march and invent the best game ever!

Finnley had had a heck of a time lately, that was for sure. With her new rank came new responsibilities, and there had been a lot of them during the battle. She had fought, she had healed, she had hurt, she had cried, they had been victorious. Everything had been worth it in those first few days as the excitement of 'winning' wore off and all the injured began flooding the healer's tents. She and Ime had had their work cut out for them, but they had gotten the ones healed that they could.

But now, she had traveled with Natsu and Viveka and their family for the arrival of a new baby. Her thoughts turned to the day that that would some day be her, and she could hardly believe it. Being a mom would be a big thing, but she would be helping people and that was what mattered. Exiting the tent she decided she needed some fresh air. Finn took a deep breath to calm herself again as she set off. It wasn't very long until she saw a young girl all by herself, which startled her for a moment until she recognized the girl. She had been told a little bit about the youngling Natsu and Viveka had taken in, though she hadn't had the chance to meet her herself. Approaching her, "Is th-there something I can help you f-find?" She asked kindly.

Asrahs looked up surprised by the voice. It was soft and nice which matched the woman who spoke, but it was the same woman who papa Natsu explained was going to be bringing their new family member into the world. She unclenched her hands and folded them over in front of her looking up at the woman with a bit of importance, though it wasn’t mean at all. “I’m not looking for anything. So there is nothing to help me find.” Well at least she didn’t think so. Her tough façade started to crack after a second and she looked around not seeing an escape and also not really sure if she should let this woman in on her newly formed goal which she decided in an instant was the biggest secret in all the world. A hand tugged at her hair for a moment while she decided looking the woman over. Figuring if she could bring a new member of the family to her papas then she must at least be a bit trust worthy Asrahs made a come closer gesture. Keeping her voice quite she told the shifter woman her plan. “I’m going to make the best game ever to play. Can you help me?” She looked up with large pleading innocent eyes. She wasn’t sure where to start since no one else was around to help her play and test her ideas.

"Oh..." Finnley said quietly as the youngling said she wasn't looking for anything therefore she didn't need any help. Well, Finn thought she was probably interrupting then, and wondered if she should find Natsu or Viveka to keep an eye on the girl, was it safe for her to be out by herself. After a few seconds, though, the girl seemed uncertain, and when she gave Finn a 'come closer' gesture, Finnley obeyed. When the girl asked if she could help her with a game, Finn smiled. "Sure I c-could help with a game. I'm Finnley, what's your name?" She asked sweetly, leaning down a bit so the girl didn't have to crane her neck up to make eye contact.

OTL I'm sorry the name thing is a slip she didn't memorize it the first time
“I’m Asrahs.” Saying her name full of pride the youngling was so glad that Finnley would help her. As soon as Finnley leaned down Asrahs wrapped her arms around the shifter woman saying her thanks before quickly letting go to being plotting her game. Now that there were two people it would be so much more fun! But it wasn’t like they could chase sail scales here or even play lily hopper since there were no lilies. Frowning she began to look around at the trees, rocks, and dirt around them. How to go on? That seemed to be the big question. “Finilily what’s in Tale?” Asrahs looked up to the woman wondering what was even around to play with. The place had so much crystal grass and the like that was not fun to play with she wondered what was ok and ‘safe’ according to the adults.

"It's nice to m-meet you Asrahs." Finnley replied politely. Even though she was a child, she would still be treated with respect from Finn. The youngling's hug softened her heart even more. Would her children be like this? So willing to play and meet new people? Her smile grew. But, as Asrahs asked what was in Tale, she notice that the little one had mispronounced her name. She was going to correct her, but decided otherwise. Finilily wasn't bad, so she'd let the young one call her that. "Well, to be honest with you, this is r-really my first time in Tale. But..." She said, moving her staff in front of her and pointing it at one of the smaller rocks and moved it by magic back and forth. Finnley looked at Asrahs to see her reaction to the magic. Natsu and Viveka didn't practice magic, so she had no idea of the girl had been introduced or not.

magic is the best game
Asrahs was still looking around but understood that this woman was just as out of place as she was. She watched the staff move and with it so did a rock. Asrah’s eyes widened to the size of meal plates and she watched the rock in fascination a small squeaking noise coming from somewhere in the back of her throat. The staff was moving before it moved but Asrahs didn’t know for sure if it was the cause, maybe in Tale rocks just moved sometimes. Was that why Papa Viveka told her to stay close to home in case a rock decided to come and chase her? Did rocks like to play games? She circled approaching with what could almost be timidity coming from any other youngling. She layed down on her belly a way away from the rock to see if there was something moving under it to play with, but there was nothing at all! Not sure what to make of all this Asrahs scrambled up and looked at Finnley confused. “Are you doing that??” Her voice held a mix of wonder and surprise as her small hand pointed at the rock in question.

The joy and curiosity of the youngling pleased Finnley to no end. As it was very contagious, she couldn't help but laugh at her question. "I am. It's one of the f-few offensive spells I've learned. Pretty c-cool huh?" She said with a smile. Finnley moved the rock around a little bit more, left, the right then up then rotated the rock before lowering it to just above Asrahs' hand, hovering for the youngling to take it. "Go ahead, see for y-yourself. It's just an ordinary r-rock." She held the spell until the youngling grabbed it. "I can use magic to help with a g-game if you'd like." She said kindly. It occurred to her suddenly that she should have checked with Viveka and Natsu if it was okay to show Asrahs magic. Were people concerned about that stuff with their children? She supposed she'd find out at some point.

Moving her hands around the rock just to make sure nothing was holding it up for real she finally grabbed the rock and the weight seemed to settle in her small hands. Turning it over she examined it a few times just to make sure it really was a rock and not a strange sort of beast she had never seen before. Looking at the shifter woman Asrahs nodded the affirmative. Yes. It was very very cool. She starred at the rock clearly hard in thought before looking back at Finnely. “Finnilily does magic hurt?” She couldn’t make a game if it hurt. Then it wasn’t a game but a bad thing. Moving rocks was ok but if it fell on her foot it would hurt. Not only that she couldn’t make a game if making stones move hurt finnely. She wrinkled her nose and looked back at the rock turning it over as she thought of games that could happen if rocks could actually move!

Finnley's smile persisted on her face even after she stopped her magic. The pure joy and curiosity on the girl's face was so infectious that she sat down on the ground as Asrahs looked at the rock. "No, Asrashs, m-magic doesn't hurt unless you want it to. It is a w-weapon just like a sword or a bow. But, if used delicately, it causes no harm." Sure magic was fun, but it was a weapon, and it would be wrong to lead the youngling to believe otherwise. "I can also use water if we can find s-some that's not expressly needed." She would give the youngling everything she could at her disposal to entertain her.

Asrahs nodded like it was some great and profound fact to learn. At the mention of more things that could be moved she grinned looking at her new partner in the game. “Yes!” She reached up and grabbed Finnley’s hand and started to look for water. She really had no idea where she was going but now she was thinking of game. Tugging on Finnley’s fingers she was talking and trying to work out the game. “So if we had a bunch of water in bowels and then took some stones we could get them wet and throw them. If you lifted the drops that fell down before the rock lands. Who ever has the most drops wins! It would be so pretty to see them all in the air. Or or we could make lots of shapes in the dirt and which ever one you can’t do wins.” Asrahs was no under the impression that finnley was an all powerful and amazing magic user.

Excitement seemed to be contagious with this youngling so she couldn't help but follow along happily when Asrahs took her hand to try and find some water. Finnley wasn't sure the girl had a destination in mind but she was definitely thinking hard. The tugging on her fingers was endearing to her as she waited for the youngling to speak again.

When it finally seemed that she had thought of a few games Finnley wondered if she would be able to do what the girl wanted. Ah, catching water droplets? That shouldn't be too difficult. But making shapes? That would be a little more difficult she thought. "I think I could definitely catch the water droplets before they hit the ground if it was something you would like to try, Asrahs."

Asrahs grinned and started to make circles in the dirt. “If we made circles in the dirt and threw wet stones could you catch them and whoever has the most drops in each circle gets the most points and wins!” For this they clearly needed to count the number of drops that fell. She nodded to what finilily said. She needed the drops counted.

She was working on the size the circles would need to be and how much each should be worth. The further would be the smaller circles with wide ones around them. The pattern would be random and it would make the game harder. “Where should we throw the stones at to make it really really fun?” There could be many path or places to aim for.
PostPosted: Tue Jan 20, 2015 11:48 am

Finnley tried to think how she could help Asrahs the most. If she wanted all the droplets to be caught then they would probably have to go one at a time to be easiest. She cocked her head and watched as circles were drawn in the dirt. "How about this?" She asked as she went a little ways away as drew a big circle. Then, on the farthest part away from Asrahs, Finnley drew a small circle touching the edge. "So this one w-would be worth the most." She said before drawing another circle around it, starting and ending at the border of the main circle she had drawn first. And then she drew another one in the same manner. "And each one would be less as you get closer to yourself." Finnley explained as she kept drawing circles in the same way but making each one bigger than the last. "Make sense?" She asked when finished, waiting for the youngster's thoughts.

Looking at the circles Finnley made in the dirt. It was really really nice to see all those circles. It did make a lot of sense and it was better than what she had been working on. Pondering on it she looked serious at all the circles and walked around them. Nodding slowly three times she looked back up to her super best helper the magical Finnililly. “Its. Perfect!” She moved over to Finnley’s side. “Now we just need to find some stones and test it. It has to be tested to be a good game.” She moved around to go and pick some stones around found a few good ones. “What do you think of these?” She held up one for Finnley to inspect.
