Mella took a deep breath and let it out with a smile. She had finally made it to Yera. She recently had the chance to travel with Ta’ruk and Myrsky. Traveling with them had been nice, but a bit tiring. Right now all she wanted to do was to restock, sell some paintings in trade for food and things. Right now she had found a nice spot just off to the normal travel for passers thought to sell things. There she spread her blanket and pulled out a few blank hides that had been skinned to a nice thickness as well as her journal for sketches. Telwren in the meantime had found a more comfortable spot not too far from her. Out of the corner of her eye she peeked at him. The last time he had gone off by himself he had gotten into trouble so she was glad he was just curling up for a nap. Many of those who passed her clearly had their eye on other things so Mella quietly pulled out her little grinding stone and a few of the ingredients she hadn’t mixed to paints yet. She could use more berries thanks to certain incidents along the road. Eyeing her bag she was glad the stains had come out though she missed the little clay jars she had once owned. Still supplies first and then luxuries second she scolded herself while she ground up the hard nuts to make a brown power that would become the base color for a paint. A bit of bark to change the hue slightly and she smiled while she worked and others passed by. Few took notice of her and fewer still lingered to watch. It was simply a nice quite day, which while bad for business was nice to rest though a bit lonely. Telwren was curled in a small patch of light that was clearly there just for him. The other non essentials had been gone now and he hoped they never came back. The feathered beast had been truly a menace and many nights Telwren had stayed awake and kept an eye on the beast though his food giver seemed oblivious to his bravery and nightly vigils. Still thing actually seemed to trust the beast, but Telwren knew better. It had attacked him when he had been resting so while his food giver had traveled with the beast and it’s carer he had not rested well at all.

Some time had passed since Uquin returned home to Yera, and the season was gradually turning colder and colder. The slats of his tree house had been lowered over the windows, to keep the cold air outside. Composted material, which he normally used as fertilizer for his in-progress herb garden, was smoothed over the outer walls with a paste - it would be removed after winter, but for now it was important to keep heat inside the home. In the past winter, Uquin had made do with blankets and thicker clothing, but with a youngling to care for (even if Pahana had left with Ujana to move to Andile with her family, Padma was still under his care here in Yera), Uquin couldn't afford to tough it out.
He knew too well how many younglings were claimed in their first winter by colder temperatures. For now, with the house cared for, Uquin climbed down from the tree, taking the ladder slowly - since losing his right eye, his body tended to lean further left, off balance, and his depth perception left much to be desired. A bag had been lowered down with a pulley - he couldn't trust himself to carry the bag on his off-balance body, as it was, so once he stepped down from the ladder he scooped it up and heaved the strap of the bag over his right shoulder, squinting as he gazed out over the marketplace.
Once he'd been a prentice darting about this market, scrounging up what jobs he could find. Now, he had a job of his own - and a sympathy for those prentices still trying to find their own way. His gaze lingered on the many people as he turned towards the forest, where he was growing his garden in a tree about ten minutes walk away - only to pause. Wait-- was that...?
It was. Along the travel-worn path under the copse of Yera's treehomes, where others had assembled wooden stalls to sell their goods, a woman sat on a blanket, hands and eyes busy with her work. It was her - Mella. For a moment Uquin stood still, watching her fingers at work, utterly taken by the activity in those hands. But then he shook himself, quietly chastising himself under his breath as he adjusted the bag at his shoulder. He had things to do - plants to check on, herbs to pick before the growing chill nullified their usefulness. And yet still Uquin's feet stayed locked in place, just at the base of his home-tree, watching across the distance of the market.
Like a creeping suitor, he reminded himself. Clearing his throat, Uquin felt it better to watch from closer than to stare at her across the distance - so he carefully inched his way through the crowd until he stood just a few feet away, stepping off the bustling path of those in the market, shifting almost uncertainly from foot to foot.
Pff. Uquin, uncertain. And yet he felt that way - as if weighing whether or not he was welcome. "Mella." He said, finally, clearing his throat and finally turning his face away, almost embarrassed.

Scarlett Arbuckle So Telwren hasn't changed... well not much anway he just wants food and assurance Uquin is not a threat. The feet in front of her didn’t bother her or even make her slow in her task. There were often times those who came to watch her work without actually ordering anything from her. It was a bit sad really, but still she couldn’t complain. Still each time a bit of her hoped they would ask her to make them something. When her name was called she looked up really surprised and very happy. Not only did they know her name, but she knew that voice very well. “ Uquin.” Setting down her work she stood up smiling glad to see him again. She wanted to wrap him up in a big hug but managed to control herself. He looked a bit haggarded and rough. She frowned slightly looking him over. Was it just her or did he look more tired. She didn’t know if he was eating right. She took a quick glance around and back to Uquin. “I don’t see your daughter around. Is everything alright?” She realzed that Uquin had a pack and might well be out running errands of his own. She didn’t want to stall him as she knew he had a sweet little girt to get back to. “Half a moment.” She quickly started to put supplies away. Not all of them would be better for the haste she used, but it needed to be done quickly. She left her small grinding out as she could do that as she walked. Grabbing her roll she snapped it and wrapped it properly around her waist with an ease that could only have come from many many moons worth of travel and visits to places such as Yera to sell her work. She looked around for Telwran and made a small whistle that made the sail scale look at her and after a few moments get up while she made sure she was all packed and ready. The sail scale didn’t come directly to her but stopped at her feet to look up at Uquin and hiss. It really wasn’t a scary hiss but she liked to think that it meant Telwren recognized Uquin. “Sorry for the wait. I’m ready to go when you are. This way you don’t fall behind your day.” She gestured to his pack. After all she could come back and try to find work tomorrow. She still had some adlabuck meat in her bag so she had dinner for the night all set and could try and hunt outside Yera if needed. She didn’t know where she would stay yet, but there was yet time in the day and besides another night camping wasn’t too bad. She finally leaned and scooped up Telwren and let him wriggle to her sash with one hand while the other held her grinding stone which she would have to wait until Telwren was well and truly settled to really work with. Telwren peeked out of his food giver’s garment to stare at the now misshapen and unkempt stranger food giver. Hissing again he kept his eyes on the stranger willing him to stay back until a proper offering of food was given. There had been too many strangers around his food giver and to many threats really. Telwren didn’t like it at all. Blinking very very slowly he kept a leg half out of the sash to claw if the stranger food giver got to close to him.

As soon as he got close, Uquin looked Mella over critically, sweeping his gaze over her to ascertain her condition the best he could. She looked lean from travel, but there was a smile readily on her face, and she didn't look any worse for wear. This brought a small, but honest smile to his lips, and whatever unease he might have felt dissipated. It was a relief to see the road was treating her well. That smile turned into a confused frown when her bright eyes searched over him, and what she saw only made her look more concerned.
Looking down at himself, Uquin blinked and furrowed his brows. He hadn't thought he looked too bad, but perhaps he was messy from something? Padma had begun to learn sewing, and as such had taken to practicing on his scarf more often than not, leaving messy tangles of thread hanging from him, or tiny embroidered circles on the hems that he, then, would plead with her to tug out of his scarf until it was as plain as it had been the first day he got it.
For now, there was no embroidery to be seen, and so Mella's look of concern couldn't be for that. Then what for? Ohh -- concern for Padma, then? Uquin relaxed once more and nodded, adjusting his grip on the bag over his shoulder as he returned his gaze to Mella's face again. "Yes, Padma is well - she stays with other younglings during the day, learning crafts, is all. All is well, thank you." Uquin spoke quickly, as if soothing Mella from her rush of concern, a warm smile rising on his lips before he'd quite realized it slipped through. Only after he'd explained did Uquin realize Mella was breaking down her stall, and now he rose his hands, eyes widening slightly as he became flustered. "Oh, no - no, Mella, I didn't intend for you to -- I am simply out to tend.." Flushing in embarrassment, Uquin forced himself to stop blubbering as Mella finished her quick, efficient breakdown of her stall, slipping everything back into her bag, with Telwren hissing at him - charming as ever.
Once again, Uquin blinked. Was Mella going to accompany him? He felt guilty for causing her to close down her stall, but at the same time he couldn't feel too bad if it meant she'd walk with him. And the fact she WANTED to walk with him made him feel warmer than he could account for, stubbornly ignoring the meaning of such a feeling as he instead tugged his scarf loose, convincing himself he was simply overheating from the way he dressed.
"You look well. Or... as well as any of us do, after all this war nonsense." Uquin said, instead, turning with Mella to slowly continue on his way, following the path away from the clearing of the market and into the scraggly brush at the edge of the nearby trees. His mind considered offering food to Telwren, but he had no meat on him this time - perhaps a few bugs could be wrestled up, once at his garden, from the composting pit he'd dug up. Assuming the spoilt sailscale ate bugs.

Scarlett Arbuckle Mella management technique in progress. “That’s good. I’m glad everything is ok with Padma. I was a bit worried since I have only ever seen her by your side after all.Though given where we where it should have been no surprise. Sorry.” The flustering protests while she had her stall down were, Mella had to admit, very cute. “It’s fine. After all I could the break to stretch my legs and think.” She couldn’t help but notice that he moved that scarft to be more comfortable. A part of her wanted to fix it for him but thought the intrusion might be a bit much. Telwren being in her arms did not help matters of course. Her smile slipped as she dropped into thought about the war and all the neglect and horrors that came with such thoughts. Still she had seen good things with it. Those who like Uquin worked so hard and did so much just to help strangers out. There was peace as well which was nice. “Thank you. You seem about as well as any parent out there. So a bit frazzled but managing the mayhem with a fair amount of skill. And Well to be honest the fighting and everything that has gone with it still bothers me a bit. I can’t even begin to imagine what it would be like to lose a home. It’s true that the wind people are nomadic in nature but I was lucky enough to have grown up around Mez and Tinerr. The way isn’t too far and it meant I had a region I knew and could go to all the time. To lose that would have been a nightmare as a child and even as an adult I don’t know if I could handle it well. There are so many memories there after all.” She blushed looking at Telrwen. “ The last time I visited I even found a few of my old drawings that hadn’t yet washed away in some of the rock crevices. It’s almost nostalgic to be there when I go now. Sorry I know I’m babbling, but .. “ She made a gesture with an arm. “ I guess I am doing well because the war made me appreciate just how special places like this and my home are. Not only that but the connections I made as well. I’m sure it seems insignificant in the face of all that was lost, but I’m still glad I got the chance to meet you” She hurried in a continued voice. “ .. a-and Padma and everyone else as well.” Mella kept her eyes forward thought her cheeks were on fire. She felt silly trying to point out there was good and beauty that was still in the world after all that pain, but if she didn’t believe that then there was just too little to hold onto. Life was precious, fleeting and wondrous. Telwren enjoyed being stroked and soothed by his food giver. The stranger one had not giving him anything but kept looking at him strangely. Grumpily Telwren finally relented and moved to tuck himself inside his food giver’s sash out of sight. The stranger who had given him food before had made no move to attack and Telwren intended to rest but stay away. At the slightest jerk of his food giver’s sash his head popped out of the sash before slowly going back in. He was going to stay alert.

Him, managing the mayhem? The suggestion brought a snort of fond amusement, tossing his eyes in quiet exhasperation. Afterwords, however, Mella's musing turned more somber and Uquin inclined his head, quietly listening and not interrupting, all thoughts of the sour sailscale forgotten.
Silly? Not at all - if anything, the musing showed what gentle optimism Mella possessed, which was impressive given the fact she'd been in the war - even if her involvement was minimal. After so much sadness, so much anticlimactic rage and sorrow over becoming allies with a race that had destroyed villages, uprooted, and even shattered families... having those out there that understood the potential pain of losing 'home' was important.
Better that than someone who snidely suggested 'well, at least the war is over and not EVERYONE perished or had their ancestral homes destroyed!'
As Mella finished, however, noting how glad she was to meet those, Uquin felt his cheeks heating as well, less at her words (they could be meant innocently), but at the blush that accompanied them. Something about them embarrased her. The leaf earthling's eyes widened fractionally, but he quickly soothed his features again, instead slipping through bushes, turning his body to face Mella as they walked. "You shouldn't apologize for speaking comfortably - I should take it as a compliment that you feel able to talk so freely." Uquin pointed out, canting his head to the side and offering an appreciative smile. It sat strangely on his face, but felt so comfortable he couldn't quite bring himself to mind it.
With that said, Uquin steeled himself for the potential backlash of his next suggestion, but felt it too important to resist.
"I feel it's ... impressive, but also a shame that we always meet by luck or chance ; I'd much rather seek you out, if I can. I understand you travel often, but surely there are routes you take frequently - perhaps I could... meet with you and travel a ways sometimes?"
The suggestion should have felt scandalous - he had a life here, but as a healer he could find work anywhere, and Pahana had taken Ujana off to live with her brother's family. Surely he and Padma could stretch their legs ? He could avoid sheltering her in the same village and house, the way he'd grown up, and instead let her travel as a youngling - to get a sense for how wide and wondrous the world was, in all of its forms?
Of course, that didn't necessarily mean that Mella would want him to invite himself along with her travels - so he'd kept the suggestion vague. If he only traveled part of the way, instead of admitting he wanted to follow her footsteps like a lovestruck child, it wouldn't be quite as ridiculous to her?

Scarlett Arbuckle And it's Telwren's thoughts that make me giggle the most..... Uquin was always such a good listener. Mella felt a bit shy about talking so much but Uquin never really spoke up to interrupt and when he did it was clear he always paid attention. Watching his face while she talked she saw bits of his expression change and yet wondered what was going through his mind. He was very hard to read though his had such sweet expressions. When he looked panicked she wondered if she had said something wrong but he didn’t pull from her if anything he seemed a bit more open a moment later when he started to speak with her. She nearly felt herself give a sigh of relief. Why did she want to just reach up and touch that smile so badly? He seemed hesitant for a moment before making his suggestion. She loved the thought instantly! Traveling with others was not only safer but usually much more fun. And going with someone like Uquin would be a dream come true. Though Uquin had his little girl to think about too and roads where not always the safest places for younglings. Though really as a wind tribe member she knew that better than anyone. Still she had fun as a child growing up and moving. She knew other earthlings might not feel the same way though. The fact Uquin always seemed so willing to see her side of things even coming from a different tribe was wonderful! Still she supposed she had to respect his ways as well. “I would love to have company on the road for as much time as I could. It’s nice to have people to talk to and move with. I usually travel with caravans for safety unless I know I’ll need to cross off the normal route for ingredients. It’s safer and there are even some younglings who come along.” She thought she’d add that in for Uquin’s peace of mind since she doubted he would ever leave his little girl behind. “ If you want to travel with me you and Padma are always more than welcome. I typically tend to venture back to Sauti from time to time, but I was thinking of coming to Yera more often.” She was blushing and not quite able to make eye contact. “The markets are nice and I really like coming here. Running into you is a nice thing as well.” That last sentence took a lot of courage for Mella but she thought if she never ventured out of her comfort zone then nothing would change and if Uquin wanted to travel to meet her than perhaps he was as comfortable around her as she was around him? Telwren wriggled in his sash ignoring the pair of chatting food givers. The tension his food giver felt was clear in the tone and tightness with which she carried herself, but the stranger food giver was not a threat. That had been established on more than one occasion. As such Telwren didn’t even bother poking his head out, just flat out not caring.

She'd agreed. Oh thank the spirits, she'd agreed - if she hadn't, it certainly would have been horrible to realize he'd been pining so long with unrequited feelings. It wasn't a love confession, true - she could simply be taking his words at face value, wanting a traveling companion. But for Uquin it was definitely a step closer - she truly enjoyed his company, as she'd mentioned before.
And that meant enough.
As for traveling with Padma, she was growing older now, and he was confident that she would heed his warnings and not stray while traveling. She was a dutiful girl, even if she tended to not understand personal space - or the concept of not messing with other people's belongings.
But, having Mella quietly suggest that plenty of others traveled with their children definitely helped - and it smoothed the somewhat reluctant parts of him that had some misgivings, despite being the one to suggest it.
As Mella spoke, however, she seemed to become more... distressed. Or, flushed. And though he was ignorant with such expressions, Uquin found himself warming as she spoke, eyes lighting up at her admission. "It is. I... honestly enjoy seeing you, Mella." Uquin admitted, clearing his throat as if such frankness had choked him.
Spirits, please don't let this be too presumptuous. He thought faintly.

Scarlett Arbuckle It's odd.. Mella gets bolder as she gets older... . Mella was all smiles now. She moved close to him and gently twined her arm with his so she could walk linked with him. This was a big moment in her mind and perhaps more than a touch hard to really process all at once. Still she was glad for it. “Well as I enjoy seeing you and you enjoy seeing me perhaps it would be alright if we enjoyed seeing one another?” She held close to him remembering how strong and supoortive she had always found him. More over how sweet he was. She was glad he was willing to travel at least part way to meet her while she traveled. Perhaps she could delay her travels a bit while in Yera and make sure to stop in often. Even if Telwren got grumpy with Uquin she knew that the sail scale adored Uquin’s little girl so she wasn’t worried about if Telwren decided to roam about Yera. Sighing contentedly she let her rest her arm on Uquin’s shoulder for a moment. It felt so much better to know that Uquin enjoyed being around her as much as she him. The fact her thoughts weren’t soley buried in her heart was a relief . “Uquin thank you.” She peeked up at the leaf man through her bangs, her blue eyes dancing gladly and with a touch of love just glittering there.

Reoakee I am so sorry all my posts are taking forever ;3; ( pets ) The mood was infectious, and soon Uquin was all smiles as well, heart jumping in elation. His arm circled hers, his hand moving to gently rub at her wrist, tilting his head slightly with a smile. They walked again, but slowly - leisurely, Mella's words making the leaf man laugh quietly. "More than alright, that sounds... wonderful." He responded, tilting his head to look down at her. Only... the way Mella stole glances up at him, through her gold-spun hair, made his breath catch. She was absolutely beautiful, but it was her eyes that truly captivated him in this moment. Vibrant and expressive, and so warm that Uquin felt he could drown in those eyes. Before he realized it, Uquin had leaned in just slightly, not noticing how close until his nose brushed hers.
Then he blinked, startled at his closeness, but unwilling to pull back, despite his obvious surprise. "Although, maybe you meant we should see one another at more of a distance. I'm not sure if I should apologize or-" He trailed off, then huffed quietly and made to pull back to a respectable distance, without giving up their entwined arms - unless his proximity had alarmed her and she released his arm instead.

“Apologize for what? Since I will be traveling often I don’t mind if you view me as closely as you’d like to while I’m before you.” Not wanting to let him moved back Mella moved forward to brush her lips against his for a moment before letting him retreat to where he was more comfortable. “Surely you don’t want apologize for something that is not wrong at all?” She was aglow with joy and felt like she could take on the world so long as the leaf tribe man next to her stood with her. Perhaps a bit or rather a lot of exaggeration. Still she couldn’t help but feel incredibly free and glad that she knew he felt the same way as her. A small thought crossed her mind and she didn’t think Uquin had fully considered it. “I suppose I should see Padma and make sure she is alright with this.” She gently placed a hand on Uquin. “ You know I want her to be comfortable and know I’m not trying to take her from her mother just be another person in her life who she can come to with anything. If she does have an issue I don’t want to cause a problem with you and her so I could stay a bit away until she is older.” Mella didn’t like the thought and the small purse in her lips showed it. Still family was important and while she didn’t think Padma would object she didn’t want to upset Uquin’s balance with his children.

She was serious! Uquin was already surprised by his own closeness, but the brush of Mella's lips against his own, lingering and light for only a moment, left him wide eyed and out of words, thoughts abandoned for a few blundering seconds in which he scrambled to regain himself. He wasn't sure why so simple a gesture felt so infinitely profound to him, but it did! For a moment, he didn't realize that Mella had given him his space, and yet she seemed so pleased, her expression lighting up so prettily that even Uquin, in his own overworrying nervousness, couldn't think of any reasons that would justify disappointing that pleasure. ""No, of course not."" He responded, his voice the slightest bit breathless. Indeed, why apologize if she didn't mind it? He certainly didn't !
...Indeed, he hadn't overly considered it. Before now, pursuing Mella had seemed so distant - Uquin hadn't even known, for sure, if he would meet her again - or if she would retreat back to her home in Sauti, out of reach. As much as Uquin knew Padma would become used to traveling, it meant less visits to Andile to see his mother and sister - even if their travels swung them into that area sometimes. It took her from her grandfather here in Yera, and trapping her on the road too early with Mella may lead to resentment. Padma already seemed to like Mella, but that didn't mean she'd warm up to her so quickly if she felt she was stealing her own mother's family.
Ujana... may not have to deal with the day to day living, but Uquin didn't know if she would warm up to the concept any better. She had chosen to live with Pahana, and overhearing his children in their playing often revealed Ujana's opinions on mages or healers. She may either be apathetic, or resentful of the changes.
So Mella's suggestion threw him into thought, though Uquin's arm remained around Mella's middle, unflinching, even while his brows furrowed and he looked away, considering. "... Maybe... before you moved on, you and Padma could talk. But... you're right. Uprooting her just now may not... be the best for her. Not just yet, but that doesn't mean you have to stay away, Mella."
After all, even if he and Padma didn't join Mella in all her travels, that didn't mean they couldn't show Padma how they felt for one another, right? ...Right??

The warm comforting arm that rested on her body didn’t move even when Uquin’s gaze did so she remained quite a while during his thinking not wishing to interrupt him. After all this was a rather large decision in his life and she didn’t want to push him to hard one way or another. It was important that he make it for himself and his family. She had seem a few traveling pairs end up in large fights later because they didn’t take the time to talk when they should have and one just pushed and ruled over the other in the pairing. That was not a relationship she wanted. She wanted something like her own parents that was happy and loving. Tilting her head just a bit in acknowledgement she thought that might be best. She was glad that Uquin was as gentle and sweet a man as she knew he was. She stepped close and gave a gentle hug to him mindful of the sailscale who was between them. While she had no children of her own she supposed it was good she had Telwren who had given her some practice in patience. The thought brought a small chuckle to her and she looked up to Uquin’s scared visage. “ You know together we will have your two girls and my little scaled boy. I think life will get a lot busier around your home besides just those seeking your skills during my visits.” She gave him a wink. “I think Padma and Telwren might keep themselves busy enough though since they already get along just fine. I’ll be sure and stop by tonight and let them play together just to be sure Telwren remembers her. She can help me decorate my lazy lizard just like before at the camps.” Mella was tempted to kiss him again but didn’t feel brave enough to do so, that meant this hug was as much as she could do right now. She already felt brazen enough for her kiss before, yet Uquin had been so tempting and she was so glad. She was even happier that he had not chosen to send her away when thinking of his daughters. That had been a dark spot on her heart, yet now it was golden all around once more. She was likely the happiest woman in all of Tale and perhaps all the world.

Her little -- hah. Uquin cracked a smile, chuckling softly and raising his hand to, very lightly, brush his fingertips against her hair. "Something tells me your 'scailed little boy' won't think much of these new circumstances. I think Padma will be quite pleased to have him around, though." No doubt she would try smearing paint over him, or harass him until the sailscale either snapped at her or grew used to the treatment. On that front, Mella was absolutely correct.
Dropping his hand from her hair, Uquin looked around them, embarassed at the realization that their conversation had occurred in someplace so public. He knew from experience that most didn't take... kindly to cross-species relationships. It turned his thoughts to Mella and HER people - on whether those in the wind settlements were lighter on such unions. As a prentice, Uquin had traveled with a traveling group of assorted species, all who embraced the roaming of the Wind people as a 'philosophy' - and there, mixed race relationships were encouraged. Was this truly how it was, or was Mella simply openminded for her upbringing?
Beyond that, Uquin didn't know overly much about the woman infront of him - beyond her artistic ability and what little he knew from their meetings. Drawing her with him, by he arm around her waist, towards a tree, Uquin sat against one of the large roots, his hand sliding from around her waist to instead settle against her hip, holding her in place against the tree. To him, it didn't seem strange to settle his hand in such a place, so he didn't question it.
"You.. spoke earlier of growing up settled near... Mez ? It is ignorant of me, but I assumed..." That she was nomadic, at least. She handled herself so easily in travel that he hadn't thought much of it. "When did you first start to travel? Don't tell me you came all the way here, to war, so young without traveling around your homeland first??"p

The gentle pressure against her hair made her want to lean into his hand and nuzzle him but thankfully Mella had a little bit of self respect left at the moment and managed to hold herself back. “I’m sure he’ll adapt after all he would have to when I have my own children later on should the gods be so kind to me.”
She followed Uquin along to a more secluded spot simply thrilled to be with him on such a pleasant day if there were others around while they had been talking she never noticed them because her focus in the world was the scarred gentle wondrous man before her. As they settled against the tree roots she found herself molded into a relaxed position with him brushing up against her radiating his warmth. Gently she placed her hand over his with her fingers curled so her palm only lightly rested on his hand keeping it in place.
His questions into her life brought back a good number of memories and a small blush. “Well I didn’t really travel to far around Sautii like I should have to be honest but I have done some traveling before. Growing up with my parents meant traveling to Tinerr, Liem and Rayf mostly. It was like making a routine.” She moved her fingers in the air showing she would go from Mez to one of the other places mentioned and then back to Mez before venturing out again. “My trip to Tale to head to the camps was actually my first trip to another nation as well as my first solo trip at any sort of long distance. To be honest it really wasn’t the smartest choice I have ever made. I was unprepared for the change in land and the heat. More than once I asked the goddess to snow all over the land or just freeze it for a time so I could travel in something a bit more familiar to me without wondering if I would wilt like a plant from the heat.” The blush deepened. “I don’t feel that way no of course, but I’ve had quite some time to adjust to the way of things.”
