 A rumbled sounded across the sky as rain pelted itself against the sandy coast and anything else that dared linger below. Howling the wind whipped across as the lofty palms bended back from the force as waves crashed and scattered into the wind. One of the small birds screeched from her mane as the mare had done her best to keep herself walking forward along the beach. There was no doubt she had underestimated the sheer force of the storm rolling in as well how little time it would take to reach her. It was terrifying; never in her wildest dreams did Vski ever think that such force would exist along such a beautiful scene like the ocean however beyond the dangerous of drowning and being swept out to sea. Her small body trembled as the wind whipped across her again, Niyol squawked clinging desperately to any thing he could as Yoki’s claws dug into the her neck. A loud snap sounded from some where near by as palm leaves skidded across the sand.
Vski kept moving desperately looking for any sort of sign of shelter anything to get the two small birds and her out of the beating of the storm and to warm up the little bodies.

 The wind howled outside of the small entrance of the cave as the sound of the waves crashing along the edge of the sloping cliff could be heard out side. At one point the cave had water once hollowing it out but it was days long past now it was mostly unused with the exception of the occasional seagull hiding from the sun. The rain beat along the edge as the two large balls of fur huddled at the back of the cave leaving the stallion to stand between them and the pouring rain. The faint tingling of bells rung as he moved near the edge watching as the wind tore at the waves sending the white caps spraying the beach. Occasionally a bad storm such as this would roll through usually he had enough time to make it back to their home but this was rather a surprise that had swept across the coast. Standing near the mouth of the cave his blue eyes watched as something caught his eye.
Someone out there, standing, struggling against the wind as lightning ripped across the sky. Yelling he tried to get its attention his voice drowned out by the wind and pounding rain. “You two stay here,” Caspian glanced at the two cats before heading out of the cave towards the figure.

As the lightning danced along the sky the mare shuddered her thoughts starting to panic as she kept moving her feet forward. Trees, shrubs maybe they would provide more shelter than her standing out in the open however as another crack-pop followed by a loud crashing noise echoed Vski ducked her eyes tightly closed as she tried to think of what to do where to go. The thoughts of being completely useless at the moment in protecting the small birds crept into her head as fear wrapped around her heart choking hope from her body. What was she going to do what what what?
Opening her eyes she saw something a figure moving towards her, and before she knew she gathered whatever strength she had left and moved towards it. He tried to say something as his black mane whipped around in the wind but she just simple nodded and continued to follow him as fast as her hooves would carry her, the wind pressing against her body.

There was relief when Caspian reached the white figure in the storm, she seemed uninjured and followed him willingly back to the cave despite the beating of the rain drumming against them. As lightening danced across the sky again he flattened his ears waiting for the thunder to rumble. The two cats he had left remained near the edge of the cave as their eyes watched with concern. As they grew closer he nodded towards the entrance and picked up his pace.
As they were able to retreat inside the stallion quickly offered over the soaked scarf around his neck looking slightly apologetic over it as it started to drip water onto the floor of the cave. “Sorry there isn’t much but here but it is better than being out there in the middle of it.”
