Two of the youma which had been around when she’d been collecting energy were now eradicated. Ubasti had hunted each down and had ended them as quickly as she could. She’d be lying if she wasn’t going to admit she was tired at this point and she almost let the youma get away. Almost. She didn’t know how smart the youma were but if it thought it could get away with it once, then it was bound to return and try again. No, she needed to find this one and kill it. Problem was, she’d chased the other two down and this one had had time to really run and hide from her.
Not that that was gonna slow Ubasti down, the night was still young but she really wanted to be in a bath and then get to bed. Which was the exact thought that pushed Ubasti forward as she jumped from rooftop to rooftop looking for some energy signals or anything that might clue her in to the whereabouts of the youma. After a few minutes she finally found traces of what she was looking for. Ubasti headed that way, jumping down onto the gravel and looking about.

Why there was an aquatic theme, it was hard to tell. Perhaps it was a particularly rainy month, or it was just the right part of the right season. Either way, this youma had fed and was 'digesting' it's meal of a starseed before returning to the rift, enjoying – perhaps – some vestige of it's former humanity. It was a big one – Feline, like the others, but it's long body did not stop at its leonine legs – it continued, tapering like some kind of slimy eel, down into a long, serpentine tail. It's neck was thick, blending into it's head in a way that indicated that this one, unlike the catfish creatures, was usually fully aquatic. Perhaps that was why it rested in the alleyway, it's bulky, oozing body not quite fitting. The ooze, of course, evaporated when it smeared on the walls, a thing of darkness and chaos and not of biology. But, on its body, it was slick and nasty. Nearby was the body of a human, it's life energy devoured. Perhaps it, too, would be a youma, maybe one of the catfish spawn of this creature, if it indeed spawned. It was hard to tell with youma. It rumbled, stretching. It was almost time to return home.

The body of a civilian was the first thing she spotted; she went over to the person and checked their pulse. Ubasti couldn’t feel one, but the pulse may have been too faint for her to pick up, first aid wasn’t exactly s skill she had acquired. Her expression turned dark and angry, she wanted to swear out loud but the body was still quite warm wish meant the youma had just been here. She was going to friggin rip its darn head off with her bare hands and throw it at a Negaverse the next time she met one! Filthy things!
Standing back up, Ubasti inspected her surroundings. It had to be around here somewhere, Ubasti tried not to stomp around as she checked around. Finally she found a trail of ooze that was evaporating and bent down to touch it. The other youma hadn’t had this much ooze coming off their bodies, was this one bigger? Ubasti looked into the alleyway, narrowing her eyes until she finally spotted what she had been looking for. Ubasti got up slowly, moving back slowly so that she wasn’t caught in a tight space when it sprang on her. “HEY!” she yelled at it and put up her fists.

The youma turned lazily around at the call, it's long tail flopping slimily as it paused in it's lumbering. It loped around, considering the senshi thoughtfully. Well... it could always use dessert. It arced its tail and then, with a slapping sound, slopped a blob of it's ooze at her before turning around completely, humming to itself quietly. Tunelessly – all tunes it once might have known were forgotten when it became... this.

The thing was… Playing with her? Ubasti huffed indigently. She was going to murder it! Squeeze every inch of that ooze off of it and watch it flow down the drain. Stupid thing! Ubasti bent back as the blob flew past her, ha that trick was not going to work on her this time! She’d gone through enough youma of this kind today that she’d learned from her previous messages. Ubasti moved back to let it come out more of its whole, she could not engage it in such a tiny space. Not yet, but once it was out it was going to feel the full extent of her rage.

It watched her, blinking its beady, glowing eyes in the dim light, seemingly amused that it's sludge had missed its mark. Ponderously, it came forward, exiting the alleyway bit by bit. It opened its tooth-filled mouth and yawned, a great 'whumph'. It didn't really care what the powered being did. It was fed, and lazy, and it was sure that there was no threat. If it could wonder, it might wonder if she was even worth its bother, but it had decided she was, and so it trundled out of its hole, slowly, steadily, patiently. It was clear, though, that there was a good deal of power in this one...

Youma never seemed to get pretty under the light and as Ubasti finally got her look on it she narrowed her eyes. It had gorged itself on energy that was hers and look at it now, fat and ugly thing it was thought she wasn’t a threat! Ha. Ubasti took a running start towards it when she gauged that it was out enough for her to maneuver. Close to it, she bent her knees and jump closing her hand into a fist and aiming right for its head. This punch wouldn’t have as much power as the others, she was already tired but it was a good start on bringing it down.

It moved its head slightly, not seeming to be phased by the blow, nor seeming particularly concerned. It blinked, perhaps in surprise, and did not move. Suddenly, it tensed, and an electrical, painful charge came through the slime covering its body as it watched the senshi's reaction, it's tail slopping the walls of the alley that still contained it as it watched, sluggishly curious, as it's electrical power took effect.

The sudden charge made Ubasti reel back away from the thing and hiss in pain. She cradled her fist since most of the pain had come from there and glared at the thing. She was going to find the agent who had placed these youmas upon her territory tonight and she was going to rip him a new one. She swore, she could not believe some Negaverse had left this stupid thing around here to poach. Grabbing onto the nearest garbage bag she threw it right at the creatures head. “Come out from your hole you worthless piece of youma!”

'Blop' Was the sound the garbage bag made as it and its contents struck and nearly stuck to the slime of the youma's body. 'Slup' Was the sound of the garbage bag falling, wetly, to the slicked ground. 'Squelch' Was the sound the Youma made as it slowly trundled out of its alleyway hideout. It yawned, revealing its rows of sharp teeth, before wiggling once and fixing Ubasti with a slightly more awake beady-eyed stare. Well, she wouldn't go away and let it get back to its nap, so maybe it should deal with her before its master became annoyed... Yes. It thought this was a good idea.

DraconicFeline Doing my tagging rounds. After itnotm Magesc is on the list If this thing was going to be slow, then she was going to take care of it fast. Grabbing onto the nearest large garbage bin, Ubasti rolled it and then took a running head start with it towards the thing. Once she had enough speed she let the garbage bin roll on its own towards the creature. Knocked out the creature would be no match for her and it meant she wouldn’t have to do a thing to successfully kill it. Now her only issue with the plan was if the creature was actually faster than it led on and she actually did have to do something. At this point all she wanted to do was go home.

GoopThe garbage can became immersed in the creature's copious slime, and squished to a stop. The youma stared at it impassively before simply continuing onwards, the trash can shoved out of its way and ignored. The youma looked back at Ubasti, yawning languidly as it continued its advance. And then, suddenly, it was no longer languid. It surged forward with a bizzare sound of breaking liquid, it's stubby claws out as it charged at Ubasti, it's needle-toothed mouth open and big enough to swallow her whole...

DraconicFeline Ending this so I can count it as a crown token. So will you smile Moving out of the way was all she could do, Ubasti jumped back and got out of the way of the thing. She landed on one of the emergency exit balconies and looked down. She could only think of one thing that would work. She didn’t exactly want to do it, but at this point she didn’t see a choice. She was going to make it explode from the inside… Ubasti jumped once more, aiming a kick through the youmas skull. Once it connected she yelled out “ARID DRY!” The death of the youma was imminent, but so was getting dirty.
Ubasti didn’t know how she was going to explain this goop.
