Hey everyone! Over the next few days, I'll be writing my term paper, which is an ethnographic look into the rapid rise and fall of EXO, and what it can tell us about industry practices, fan behaviors, and the brutal risks needed to create a mega successful boy band. Part of my work will include interviews with kpop fans, and since this a guild all about kpop, I figured here would be a great place to ask for volunteers.
I'm looking to talk to fans of EXO about their favorite members, songs, videos, and eras. Even more importantly, I'd love to know about their views on SM Entertainment, on Kris's and Luhan's departures, what they think will be the band's future, or any other fan stories they'd like to share. Also, while EXO is the main focus, it'd be very cool to speak to fans of other groups that have been shaken up by lawsuits, such as B.A.P. or TVXQ. All of this will combine into a ~16-20 page research paper; this is something I'm intending to use down the road as a writing sample for grad school, so I'm taking it very seriously.
