History: Gon was only two years old when his father brought him to a small remote island called Wailord island. Here he was left with his aunt (Father's cousin) Mito to be raised.
Gon grew up without being around any other children, but he was allowed to enjoy himself on the island, learning how to fish from the fishermen on the island, traversing the wilderness daily where he learning how to live in and with it.
He always dreamed of meeting his father, who had left after dropping him off never to return. Knowing from Mito that his father had left the island at the age of twelve to become a Pokemon trainer, and had only returned to drop Gon off.
Despite Mito's wishes that Gon not try and follow in his father's footsteps Gon has always had the intention to leave Wailord island to become a pokemon trainer and find his dad.
When he turned ten he asked go be able to go, but it would take two years of Mito putting up with Gon's pleading before she finally made an agreement with him.
If he could catch the Gyradose that lived in one of the lake on the Island, then she would agree to let him go. Knowing full well how difficult catching that pokemon would be, since her real intent was for him to fail and he not go at all, and finally stop asking her, knowing full well he wouldn't stop otherwise. He always respected an agreement.
Forgetting that once Gon puts his mind to something, he won't quit until he does it.
Gon was at the task for a week, non-stop until he caught the beast on his line.
With the help of his Treecko, he was able to reel the pokemon up.

Mito had no choice at this point but to let him go, and he did so with great excitement, Heading to the nearest island that he could go to for a Trainers License.

Personality: Gon wears his heart on his sleeve, he's honest, genuine and simple. He doesn't approach things with a lot of difficult thinking, he just kind of runs into situations and does his best to deal with it with what he knows.
This isn't to say that he doesn't learn from experience, when he takes an interest in something, he's known to work non-stop until he's learned what he's after. He's hard working, and has a will power that keeps him from giving up or backing down when usually it would be wiser to.
Easily impressed, and generally very good at making friends with people through his genuine interest and open kindness. He takes a person as they are presented to him, making him extremely easy to trick.


Current: Gon goes to get his license, and is disappointed with how easy it is. He gets asked if he wants to take part in a challenge to get him a better license, he agrees excitedly and gives up all his money to accept the challenge.

History: Killua is the middle child of a prestigious Assassin family, known and feared by the underworld community.
The Zoldyck are an independently trained family of high class assassins, who are also completely family run, being controlled by none of the other underground bosses and will offer their services to anyone who pays the right amount. The family uses grueling training techniques to train the children and even use specially trained pokemon to assist them in their jobs.
Killua, being the middle child was very obviously favored by his parents, who put a lot of time and effort into his training as an assassin, adamant that he would be the one to take over the family business.
Killua, had no intention of doing what his family wanted for him, he didn't like the idea of hurting and killing people, and he liked it even less that they expected him to do that for the rest of his life, even if it was the only thing he had ever known.
After a heated argument with his mother, that ended with him stabbing her in the face, and his older brother in the side before running off on his own.

Knowing that his family has made it a point to avoid doing anything with Team Rocket's involvement, Killua takes the first chance he can to go to the region that the Rockets have most control over, to further avoid his family. Once there, and with nothing better to do, he decides to get his Trainers License.

Will Power: When Gon sets his mind to something, he does everything in his power and beyond to achieve his goal, adamant of getting his way and fiercely suborn. No one could call Gon a quitter or anything in between.

Outdoors: Growing up mostly in the wilderness of the small fishing port island, Gon spent most of his life out in the wild, where he learned and hones skills such as identifying different plants and animals, tracking, fishing and living.

Physical: The wilderness lifestyle has also made him a very fit twelve year old, with a great amount of stamina, Gon loves to run, jump and climb.

Honesty: He has no real moral reason not to lie, simply that he finds no reason to.

Pokemon: Gon LOVES pokemon and animals, often going out of his way to meet one just to say hello.

Friendly: Gon is pleasant and friend toward people he is meeting, generally not having a bad opinion of them at all until they give him a reason to have a bad opinion.
