Sable was sitting on the patio amidst one of her favorite coffee shops. Though calling it her favorite may have been a little bit of a stretch. The cappuccino she was sipping was delicious just the right amount of Irish cream and a hint of vanilla. They could at least make her 'cino right, her cap was sitting upon her head to keep her hair from billowing away in the light breeze and her hands peeking out from her corduroy jacket were hidden by fingerless gloves.

She was sitting with her back towards the cafe, and a small fork occasionally working against a slice of apple pie. Sable was people watching, looking over those that were around her and those that walked past. Granted not many were out tonight as it was a little nippy and most had been scared by these terrorist. Sable just thought they were silly little child's play rumors but she put on to help keep her sister out of trouble.

Okay, can't lie... she is one rather fine lady.

General Buddingtonite had been glued to his hiding place for awhile now, though he couldn't exactly remember what he was doing, or what had brought him there, or even why he felt the need to be powered up. Perhaps it had something to do with finding starseeds and collecting energy orbs for a certain gutted officer back at her apartment, or maybe some other officer had complained that he wasn't pulling his weight, which was equally possible. Or maybe he was just attempting to be proactive, but whatever lured him out this evening had escaped his mind when he spotted the lovely lady sitting outside the coffee shop.

Well, which will it be tonight? Energy? Starseed? Recruitment?

Buddingtonite wasn't sure which it would ultimately lead to, as always when it came to anyone that had caught his eye during his hunts. Immediately, the idea of taking her starseed was thrown out the window. She was too beautiful to waste on that, and Nyasa seemed to get so irrationally angry when he plucked starseeds for some reason and presented them to her. Jealous creature, that Nyasa.

So energy or recruitment. Maybe something else could be set on the table, but that would mean making his approach and therefor making introductions first. Figuring he had been hidden for long enough, Buddingtonite stepped out from the tall shrubbery that he had been making acquaintances with, taking only a single step forward and glancing at the lovely lady that sat on the patio eating an apple pie. It looked absolutely delightful, but he was certain that the one holding the forks was even more so.

"You're a brave one to be sitting out here all alone. Or perhaps the freezing chill in the air has trapped you there and you're far too strong of will to break yourself free yet?" Certainly not his best pick ups, but so long as it got a conversation going, he'd roll with it.

Sable looked up from her pie with a lofted brow, while she was use to people watching, she wasn't always use to people watching her. However, a small smile danced upon her lips. Debating among the ways she could answer that question, when one answer directly came to mind. "The cold doesn't bother me."

She sat her fork down and took a sip of her cappuccino, still hot thanks to the Styrofoam cup protecting it from the cold. "I assume, that you find ladies are often attracted to a man in uniform I take it?" The woman was looking at Buddy's coat and hat, "Though it looks like you're Russian to this." She smiled at her little wit.

"Which I suppose, there could be a costume party somewhere I am unaware of for this sort of thing." She looked as if she was contemplating something as she studied buddingtonite's physique though it was difficult with such an elaborate uniform.

Buddingtonite missed moments like these. Casual greetings, small talk, something he did not get to do in the future he saw for himself, at least with those not within his little circle, the circle he fondly called his Lovelies. He rather adored the idea and had put it on his long laundry list of things to reclaim from those visions... perhaps he could start with the very lovely lady here?

"What's not to love? It's warm, stylish, radiates an aura of authority and garners respect," he said, then paused to reconsider that last bit, before adding nonchalantly. "Most of the time, anyway. There are the occasional rebels, but they're just as exciting to be around, if not more."

Her crack about his attire being suited for a costume party amused him and he could not suppress the urge to laugh, as he moved closer to the lovely lady to get a better look. "You're the first one to think Russian when looking at me. Usually people point and think 'OH NAZI', when they look at me, but what do they know? You're not that far off, though... not quite a costume party, but certainly an interesting way of seeing it."

Replace costume party with a cult determined to strip Destiny City and the rest of this planet of its energy and free will, and you'd be dead on!

"Nevermind that. Name's General Buddingtonite. And you are?"

Sable had rested her chin on one hand while still managing to nibble on her pie and sip her drink. Despite the fact he was standing here talking to her, she wasn't going to let her pie or drink go to waste. "Ah, yes I do suppose there's people that won't give respect to such."

She paused, tilting her head a little as he spoke. "Hmm.. Gestapo doesn't really fit. Though I suppose I can see hints of it. Perhaps you're outfit is a mixture of both. Though, such dressings leave a lot to the imagination." There seemed to be a pout in her voice as she spoke.

Pausing as she took another bite. "Well do sit down General, I don't bite. . . on the first meeting anyways." Sable smiled slightly as she looked at him, speaking of his 'name' she was still under the impression he was pulling her leg a little with the get up. "You can call me Sable most anyone does."

The woman finished the last bits of her pie and casually waved the fork a little bit. "Now tell me General Buddingtonite -- that is a mouthful sweetheart can I just call you Buds or Buddy -- Anyhow -- What are you a General of if you don't mind me asking?"

He found himself impressed with her banter and his grin was completely genuine, as he took a moment to preen on his appearance, suddenly well aware that she was most certainly taking note of his appearance. The chuckle he gave was filled with an emotion that he wasn't quite accustomed to, at least not in regards to himself. Nervousness. "I'm certain you have a vivid imagination, though..."

Some may have been weary to talk to a man in a uniform, but not this one. No, this one seemed calm, and genuinely intrigued, though perhaps the slightest bit cautious. She was allowing him to sit at her table, but in a manner that was safe for her as he could be taking the opposing side. Should he have tried anything, he'd have to reach over the table (though that defense was rendered useless when one factored in the ability to teleport) and it would have caused a scene. Clever woman.

"Thank you for your hospitality, my dear," Buddingtonite said as he took a seat, fussing with his cape but only for a moment, settling for draping it over his armored shoulder and getting quite comfortable in the seat that was offered to him. He wasn't sitting a proper militaristic manner, taking advantage of there not being any other officers in the area to take note or criticize, he took this opportunity to simply relax and enjoy himself. He seldom did that anymore... "May I ask when does the biting start or will I simply have to find out on my own?"

He said that last part with a wink, before shifting gears. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Sable. For a classy lady such as yourself, you can simply call me Buddy-" Or sex partner. "I wouldn't mind at all. I am a General in the Infiltration Branch of the Negaverse. I do things. Important things. Sometimes fun, too, so business and pleasure mingled into one."

Sable gave a small foxy grin as he spoke about her imagination. "My dear you've no idea the sort of imagination I have."

While the pie was gone, her cappuccino was still bravely braving the cold and keeping warm. So she took another sip, before watching as he took a seat and fussed with his cape. She also noticed he wasn't completely sitting in a militaristic style. Though she didn't bother to say anything.

He seemed to pull her interest when he asked when the Biting does start, "Well, usually one has to prove their self by the second official date, and that they don't have Rabies. Then, we'll talk." She smiled and seemed very serious about what she was speaking on. Sable didn't seem to be one about modesty.

There was a nod as he spoke about her classiness, "Well I do believe the pleasure is mine Buddy," Sable was fairly sure this was going well, all things considering. "Infiltration Branch?"

Sable seemed to muse as she continued to be fascinated, "That sounds very fascinating General, though one can't help but wonder what you infiltrate. Though if it's what I assume, that means you'd be more than willing to show me." Sable smiled wondering if he was as quick witted as he seemed. It'd been a while since she'd last found someone like Buddy.

Perhaps he was making a snap judgement, the type one could have easily have regretted a few nights from now, but he rather liked this Sable. There was something about her that he not only found attractive in the physical sense, but something deeper, something that he found himself not only drawn to but wanting to confide in. Yes, he definitely liked this lady, and her imagination. It was a pity there weren't more like her in the Negaverse, much less Destiny City.

"Quite, can never be too cautious these days," Buddingtonite said, in regards to the comment about second dates and rabies. In truth, he was only half paying attention, as his mind was more or less on other matters. Matters that he should have reigned in and kept under control, and he was grateful to be sitting at a position where the table hid his lower body from sight, unless she had X-Ray vision, of course. When the topic shifted onto the Negaverse, it became somewhat easier to compose himself once more and he was willing to let out a few more details, just to test her. "Unfortunately the branch isn't quite up to date with the whole 'infiltration' thing as one might think. We're more of the... Public Relations department, you see. We go around and provide a truthful and positive representation of our organization, and work on keeping our growing clientele up to date with things. We also do recruiting, of course, and assisting others who may have been swayed into unfavorable situations within our competitors."

He refrained from mentioning the news and how a certain general had all but controlled the material the public got to see. Perhaps that's where the whole Infiltration came in, but he'd save that for later. "It's not QUITE as exciting as one might think, but it could surprise you. I wouldn't object to showing you, though... assuming I wouldn't be distracting you from any prior engagements?"

Sable continued to stay seated with little fuss as Buddy spoke about the fact one could never be too cautious. "After all there's no magicks in the world that could protect from Rabies and I hear the effects are rather dreadful." She paused as she leaned over a bit with a grin.

"You sir, do not have rabies do you?" As if she was testing to see how far he'd go. While Sable was usually far more interested in just watching people she did enjoy often making friends with the sort that she seemed to have caught tonight. Now the question was how long before the bait began to be too much.

"Hmm... Public Relations. . .? Well my dear general I do say you've got my attention." She paused, "Your competitors? My dear Buddy this sounds more like a business than a militant group." She added hoping she hadn't gotten herself involved with some corporate evil all of a sudden.

"Ohhh, a sneak preview?" She asked seemingly almost to perk up in excitement to find out what precisely he was all about. Though it seemed she may be mistaken as to what kind of sneak preview the woman still found herself very enthralled by the idea. "Ahhh no, no prior Engagements as long as you don't reject my drink tagging a long Buddy." The last word was meant as a small teasing jab.

Can we not talk about rabies? Can we just not?

Buddingtonite found himself in full agreement, laughing off his concerns and distaste for the subject and looking to switch the subject as quickly as possible. He wasn't even sure why he didn't like the idea, but he chalked it off to being a dog lover and thinking about his two precious hounds that were eagerly waiting for his return every night. "Oh no, ma'am, absolutely not. I am well kept and I've had all of my shots, I assure you. Nothing more than a normal Negaverse general. But I digress..."

If she was testing him, then he had no idea, and in all honestly, that was perfectly fine with him for now. He simply wanted to enjoy good company, as well as size up the possibility of a new recruit. Maybe not tonight, but he could not deny how tempting that'd be. He needed to slow down, though the temptation was near unbearable at times. "The two are not mutually exclusive, you see. The Negaverse needs business minded individuals, those who can and are perfectly willing to do the dirty things that the muscle and grunts can't stomach to do. Punching your enemy is easy, but communicating with them? Downright terrifying for some... not to mention, once we do win and trust me it's all but guaranteed, they will be those that know how to run things, such as businesses, law enforcement, politics... that's where we come in. The business side. Otherwise we'd be seen as nothing but barbaric warmongers, and I refuse to be associated with our competitors, even for a second."

He figured she'd be interested in a preview, and it took everything within him not to grin so hard. He only smiled a little, keeping it professional though he was certain his eyes told another story. He offered his hand to her but made sure not to pressure her and his words were coated with honey. Sweet, venomous honey, but honey never the less. "You and your drink are welcomed, my dear. Just be careful not to spill it on your attire. It's far too pretty to wear such a scar..."

"Well then I surmise that's more than acceptable." She smiled as he spoke, though what is normal when you have an organization named Negaverse. It sounded very . . . Negative.

Her brow lofted as he spoke on. "It sounds like a version of the Mob." She stated simply wondering if she really wanted to be a part of this, though she didn't mind really. "Who, pray tell, are your competitors?" She asked curiously, though really she was starting to form theories of mobs in Destiny City and how likely they'd be running under ground. It sounded fairly exciting for a movie or novel, even poem topics.

After a little mulling over she took his hand, nothing like a secret society to gather one's interest. "My, my and it is dry clean only. I assure you that I won't spill my drink. I'm not nearly that clumsy~." She smiled, as she leaned over to peck him on the cheek. "Now then, why don't you show me the time of my life hm?"

There was little point in hiding his amusement at her statement, though it wasn't a mocking kind of amusement nor the kind that was meant to mask anger or insult at the comparison itself. Perhaps if she had made the 'sounds like the Nazis', perhaps, but otherwise it was a fair description, he thought.

"Our competitors... oh what can I say about them? Not too many pleasant things- I'm sure that Anchorman, what's his face... Tag! Tag Swagger, released a doctumentary not too long ago," Buddingtonite explained, keeping his tone pleasant even though for any salesperson, talking about their competitors may have been the more unpleasant part of their job. For Buddingtonite, it wasn't so bad... sometimes even, dare he say, fun! "They're nothing short of terrorists, the whole lot of them, though they'll pull this whole mock innocent 'no we're not' act, but you can't trust them. Either they know what their grand scheme is and is doing a damn good job in hiding it, or they're completely oblivious and therefor probably even more dangerous because now they're just being guided by sheer ignorance. Whether they realize it or not, they're a danger, and one that we are trying to deal with covertly, though through some great difficulty."

He could have gone on forever about his little tirade, but the feel of Sable's fingers closing around his fingers, though he regrettably could not enjoy the touch of her skin beneath it, provided a pretty damn good anchor. The kiss was just the cherry on top! "My dear, it would be my absolute pleasure."

He wasn't sure where he'd take her, but with the gift of teleportation provided by the Negaverse, there were near limitless options. So, he picked a place at random, and were gone!
