Tamen's home, while spacious and grand, is most of the time empty. He loves to keep himself busy at the barracks and will usually only be home when he wants to actually take a break, or if he wants to entertain guests.

"Welcome to my home! I may not be here a whole lot so if you need me join me at the barracks or over at the Fukuda House. Also please don't break in that would really be a bad decision on your part."

Waking up to you never felt so real

My demons lay in waiting

Tamen let out a loud yawn. Spending more of his days at home like he had promised the month before didn't stop him from bringing his work home. His dining table was covered in sprawled out papers and old tea cups sat on some to keep them from blowing away whenever he inadvertently made a swift move across the floor or to reach. He laid his chin down on the table and twiddled the pen in his hands, contemplating something. He gazed at the wall, looking like he was going to sleep right there, but the sudden flick of the pen falling from his hands made him jolt upwards. Startled he straightened up and took in a deep breath and rubbed his neck, "Damn...pen..." he mumbled agitated. He rose himself up, groaning from the aches of sitting there too long, and looked outside, it was still pretty early in the morning, a quick nap might do him some good. He walked past the paperwork debris and made his way to the bedroom where he basically plopped onto the mattress and rolled onto his back, "Ah! Now this is heaven~" he mused. Without even thinking he quickly fell asleep, without a worry of getting any blankets or pillows to add to his comfort.

His eyes shot open in shock and he cringed his teeth in pain, "AHHRGH!" he exclaimed as he clenched his side and turned on the other. He let out low whimpers to relief what would be more screams, but since no one else was at the house he didn't have to worry about anyone hearing these cries. The harder his dug his grasp into his side the more it seemed to numb the pain, little by little, but this injury was known to him to only get worse. He huffed and held his breath as he rose from the bed, lifting his entire weight on his arm and legs. The moment he stood up he fell against the wall, not helping his ache. He left stumbling out of the room and eventually made his way out of the house, "Please let Morimoto be there ach-!" he said to himself through labored breaths.

From the window to his bedroom a hell butterfly flew in and landed on the small desk next to his bed. It's gentle chiming would go unnoticed by anyone until Tamen returned.

Usually the winter season was a time of fun. In the world of the living there was Christmas and holidays to celebrate- but right now nothing was worth celebrating. The invasion and attack on the squads last month were more than horrible- they were atrocious. Attacks were happening everywhere- the 4th squad took the worst damage of all. Her heart had practically sank when she had heard that Tamen was there during the attacks, she felt she had lost everyone she cared about all over again. Seeing him alive was more shocking than relieving. He was injured- not including his ongoing injury- and the entire squad 4 had taken the blunt of the attacks. Without the fully functioning medical bay avaliable it's going to be a lot tougher treating any new injured in the coming times. Not to mention the head captain's son was kidnapped along with a square two member..."Hm..."she sighed as her thoughts raced around in her head. This entire time she was making her way to Tamen's home, but flash stepping there wouldn't have giving her the quiet she needed to think. She didn't want to think about all of this when she saw him-especially not him. This entire month he was sent to recover at home but she still caught him at the office and with his squad giving them orders. She hated how much of a busy body he was...but at the same time sheadmired it. During those attacks she felt absolutely useless it was shameful to her. She stopped and stood in the light amount of snow on the ground. She saw the front of his house and took a sharp cold breath and breathed it back out, "Okay..." she told herself. She started walking up again to the home then without knocking stepped inside and took off her sandals. It was extremely quiet, was he even there? In this snow she was prepared to get angry if he had made the trek to his office. After taking off her sandals she started taking off her scarf and called out, "Yasai are you here? You better be or else!" she had no problem threatening him, despite his condition.

Early this morning Tamen didn't let himself take in the beautiful scene of falling snow outside his home- he was too much of a workaholic to relax. Since the attacks on the soul society happened last month he has been working as best he could with his squad to to assist everywhere. After all his squadwas the security force- which only made him feel even more responsible for what had happened.Since that day of the final attack he had begun investigating on his own as to how they were able to get in so easily. He feels incredibly lucky that the head captain didn't kill him after her son was taken by the enemy as well. He didn't want to believe there was a bad link within his squad, but all evidence was unfortunately pointing to it...

"Yasai are you here?You better be or else!"

Tamen jumped and fell sideways hearing the familiar voice, 'Dammit!" he screamed in his head. He quickly rose up and looked around- his entire bed, side table, heck almost the whole room was covered in papers from the office. If Shou saw all of this she would most definitely punch him into another afterlife. She didn't want him over-exerting himself after he was hurt again during the attacks on the medical bay, but those injuries were plenty healed it was just his permanent wound that kept her worry turned on. He started to scoop the papers up and push them into the closet, but there were just too many and he actually wasn't feeling like rushing around at the moment. He groaned standing up from the bed and tying his belt back around his waist. He scurried out the door of his room and darted for the entrance before Shou could have a chance to snoop around. He called out "Comin'!" He stopped at the turn breathing slightly heavily and waved to the rose headed woman, "Ya know you don't to...keep checking upon me..." He stopped realizing he was sounding like he was ready to pass out...not a way of convincing an over-protective friend.
