Opens: Tuesday, December 9th 6pm EST
Closes: Tuesday, December 16th 5pm EST

The warm summer breezes are coming to an end, and there's a distinct crisp chill in the air. As you walk through the woods, you're surrounded by the crunch of dead leaves, the earthy aroma of autumn, and feel a slight sting in the breeze that speaks of the closeness of winter. It's then, out of the corner of your eye, you spot the flash of rich orange among the browns and greys of the woods. Turning towards it, you pick your way through the foliage only to stumble upon a large patch of pumpkins!

Some are large, some are small, some filled with vines, others newly grown; some are rich oranges, while others are pale as cream, others splotched with green. Strangely enough, as you traverse through this patch, you find pumpkins of all shapes, sizes, and colors far from the traditional oranges and yellows! Some of the pumpkins are even carved, with shadowed faces laughing, scowling, and howling out at the world; some don't even have faces at all, but are epic designs made of ones wildest dreams.

Surely, this pumpkin patch is special!

As you walk through it, you realize you're not alone. There are two soquili perusing the patch, pausing now and then to stop and study a pumpkin, before moving on. One is the color of shadow, and the other a soft burnt oranges and reds of autumn. Additionally, there's a great winged pumpkin inspired condor, and a sleek golden and orange coated fox slipping through the rows, and a black and gold swirled mountain lion, pausing now and then to cast judgement. They all seem to be circling the pumpkin patch in search of one to admire.

Which one will they choose?

1. Pumpkin Mare - Hanging Gallow
2. Pumpkin Stallion - Hanging Gallow
3. Golden Fox - Miss Cherie
4. Bastet Mountain Lion - Amirynth
5. Jack-O-Lanturn Condor - Roniel

Welcome to the Pumpkin Patch! Here you can design your very own pumpkin and place it in the patch! These pumpkins can be designed of any color under the rainbow, and can also be turned into a jack-o-lanturn, or simply be covered in designs.

How you create them is up to you!

Interested? Keep on reading to enter!

How to Play
To win one of these lovely ponies, you must first design a pumpkin to place in the patch! This pumpkin can be of any medium that isn't Photoshop or some other Graphics Editor. We want a real medium like a picture drawn by hand and a picture taken of it, or a cookie made t look like a pumpkin and decorated, a knitted pumpkin, origami pumpkin, etc. etc. The sky is the limit so long as it's something tangible and something you can photograph.

Put your Gaia name and the date next to it, and then post the code below, and consider yourself entered!

Easy, right?

Jack-O-Lanturn, Jack-O-Lanturn, You Are Such a Funny Sight!
Username:
Soquili & Familiar Preferances: Black Mare, Orange Stallion, Autumn Fox, Jack-o-lanturn Condor, Bastet Mountain Lion
Why do you think these soquili and familiars are drawn to the pumpkin patch? Just a little blurb is fine. A word, a sentance or two is just fine. It can be a serious entry or a silly one.
Name of Your Pumpkin Masterpiece: Not necessary. Just in case you titled your piece.
What Medium Did You Use to Make it? Markers, crayons, yarn, cookie dough, baking, frying, bloodwork, etc. etc.
How Long Did It Take?
Final Result [Please post an image to your finished pumpkin! Don't forget to include your Gaia name and the full date so we know it's for this event!

The Rules
1. Follow all Gaia ToS
2. Please post only one entry. You may edit it until close, but know that we may flip through the entries as we get them.
3. If you win a soquili or a familiar before the game ends, please note this in your entry. If you win a pony, you're still eligible for the familiar, and vice-versa. Only strike your form if you win both a freebie familiar and soquili.
3. Don't forget to take a photo with your legible Gaia user name and the date present in the picture! This confirms it was made by you for this event.
4. You can draw a picture for this event, but please don't use photoshop or a digital graphics editor. We want people to show off skills using other mediums. Photography, a bejewelled maker, markers, chalk, frosting, cloth, yarn, candy, whatever floats your boat!
5. This will be a judged contest. The judges will discuss what pumpkins stood out most to them -- there is no criteria for entry. It could be the most colorful, the most pretty, the most unique. There will be a first, second, and third prize. . . and the remaining prize raffled among every one who enters!
6. Have fun!
7. Also, proxies are not allowed. As this is a work to show off our talent, you must enter for yourself.

It should be noted that I'm insane and the thing is indeed hallow and two toned with the inner wall being lighter. Why? I have no idea. Realism? The lid can also be removed...carefully.

Black and orange pumpkins coat the field,
Providing a mystery to those who have appeared.
The mare and stallion know the meaning of the Patch,
As they gaze upon the batch.
It is a secret that they will keep and never tell,
for it would break the night’s spell.

Final Result I forgot to put the date but reread the rules a took another tonight.

Date be on the other ones, I could hold these and the date sign. ( was using computer cam)
XCinnipumpkin and Mini-cinni pumpkins
X mix with ingredients and date

How to make it ( and stuff) below

To make this you just put equal parts of the two ingredients together, mix well, then need. ( like you would play dough or kooky clay) Then shape them into whatever you wish. You're hands will give a bit messy. (kids love this part and it is safe for them to eat, if they happen to do so) Let dry naturally or stick in the over ( on lowest temp) at 10- 20 minutes ( depending on how thick item is.

This stuff is also epically good for making decorations ( which smell like cinnamon) that last for years ( as long s they don't get wet ( they mold then) We have gingerbread looking ones around here somewhere ( totally cannot find the box lol )
