Caramell's sketching had gotten better. She had learned silly little tricks to make pictures move on paper, such as drawing them then flipping the pages repeatedly, but it just wasn't enough. Not to mention there was only so much she could do on paper with pens and color pencils. Maybe if she could learn to draw on a computer..or tablet...somehow.
Thus the purple filly found herself window sopping in the city, having stopped at an electronic store, nose pressed against the glass as she stared at the display. A few drawing tablets were on sale and set out in the window to attract attention. Which they succeeded in doing. However the little filly had no money to just purchase her own, so she stayed with her face pressed against the glass, red eyes sparkling wistfully. Astraea Pandora Hope its ok I just fling an RP at you! And sorry it took so long x,x

Imperial Ink was already in the shop, staring at the specs of the tablets on sale. He bit at the bottom of his lip. Even on sale, they were extremely pricey and he was reluctant to drop so much coin. But, the specs were incredible, and with all the extra software that was included, it would be stupid to not take advantage. The shop keeper pulled the last of his stock, the largest, shiniest tablet that was on display in the window to sell to the stallion. Ink felt his stomach drop at the price but his spirits lift at the excitement to sit down and draw with his new toy. Carefully placing the tablet in his bag, he turned and left the shop, not even noticing the filly at the window.

Caramell had been so focused on staring at the shiniest tablet there, that when it disappeared from the window a moment of shock washed over her. She watched as it quickly disappeared into some stallion's bag and she did her best to follow him through the window until he had exited the shop and started to head the opposite direction.
What a lucky guy..... if only she could just......try it.....
"Excuse me! Uh.....S-sir!" she blurted out, galloping to catch up to him, peering up at him with bright red eyes. Boy he looked really neat, his eyes were so different! He'd be awesome to animate doing something.... "Did you buy that to draw on?" Stupid question! Of course he did! Don't be dumb Caramell. "Er I mean.....well... may I ask what you do? That's a really....really cool tablet....." she sighed longingly, glancing over her shoulder back at the store then down at her bags with her messy torn sketchbook sticking out.

Ink paused as the little filly approached him after he'd left the store. He flashed his most charming grin, leaning down to her level. "Moi? Oh, I am a tattoo artizt. I own a zhop on ze other zide of town, it iz called Living Ink." He pointed in the general direction of his studio. He looked at his saddle bag. "Oh zis? Oh yez, I zink it will be a great azzet to my zhop. I design many custom tattooz." His eyes flicked to her bags. " 'ow about you ma petite étoile?"

Caramell's eyes went wide and she muttered softly to herself as the Stallion spoke. "Sugoooiiii....Tattoos...that's so cool...."
When her brain finally clicked back into the living world, she stammered a bit as she caught her bearings. "M-m-me? OH! I love love love to draw! But I really want to make them....move. Like anime!" she sparkled proudly, puffing out her little chest.
"But I can't really do that on paper.....but with one of those I could!" she sighed wistfully, glancing back at the shop once more before turning towards Ink again.

Ink broke into a more softer, genuine smile. "Ah I zink zis model doez thiz, yez." He pats the box gently. He understood her excitement, he himself was excited to use his new tablet. Poor thing wouldn't be able to afford her own most likely. He understood that too. " 'ow about ziz, come by my zhop tomorrow after clozing.." he handed her his card. "I will let you try to animate zomething zmall to zee 'ow the feature workz."

The little purple filly reached up and took the card, sitting down and holding it in both front hooves as if it were the most delicate thing in the world, eyes sparkling. She didn't even know this stallion and yet he had just offered to let her try out his brand new, most expensive tablet!
"Really? You r-r-really mean it!?" she squeaked happily, bouncing to her hooves. "Oh thank you thank you thank you THANK YOU Mister.....er....Ink!" she flushed, glancing down at his card for his name, realizing she hadn't even asked yet.
Tomorrow after closing.....she'd get to test out an actual real tablet! It was all Caramell could do to keep from bouncing in place like a bobble head.

The next day Imperial Ink sat at his desk in his shop. He'd just installed his new tablet and was messing around on it, drawing a stylized version of the Cheshire Cat for kicks. His glasses were perched on the end of his nose as he concentrated. He'd left the front door open for the filly if she was going to come by, but had forgotten all about her as he drew.

Caramell hadn't forgotten. How could she, when one of the greatest moments of her life was possibly about to happen? Getting to rest a real, fancy, professional, albeit expensive tablet.
Having found the shop, she noticed the open door and timidly poked her nose inside, spotting the familiar stallion already at work. Oh man, did that mean he was busy and couldn't let her use it? Oh she hoped not. Coughing softly, she opened her mouth to speak. "Um....excuse me....Mister Ink?" she smiled, gingerly stepping in and looking around in awe.

Ink looked up at the sound of the small voice without actually seeing Caramell there. Then his eyes focused and his brain clicked back into place. He turned bright red and in a flurry of activity, pulled off his glasses and threw them into a small drawer in his desk and tried to look cool. "Ah zere you are little..uh...filly." Had they exchanged names..? He couldn't quite remember. He beckoned her over with his hoof. "Come in, come in, welcome to my zhop."

At his invitation, the little purple filly quickly scuttled in, but was mindful not to bump into anything or really touch anything. She made her way up to his desk and waited, trying to be patient, but it was already killing her. She stood on her tiphooves and tried to take a peek at his tablet to see what he was working on. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything...?"

"Non." he said, hitting delete on the doodle and bringing up Drawshop to a new blank page. He turned in his chair and smiled down at the adorable filly. "You look ready to go." he chuckled and stood. Glancing down at her, Ink though a moment and plopped 3 thick books of tattoo flash art on the chair. With a fluid motion, he scooped Caramell up and sat her gently on top of them so she could reach the tablet and his desk. "Zere, zat zhould 'elp. You're not quite az tall az me. Doez ze chair need to go up or down any to be more comfortable?"

To say she was relieved at not interrupting anything important was an understatement. To say she was prepared to be scooped up and set atop books on a chair was a lie! A small squeak of shock escaped her lips before a soft giggle. "Oh thank you! M-maybe down... just a tiny bit please?" she smiled, wiggling until she was comfortable atop the books and glanced down at his tablet. Boy was she ever ready to go! Except her mind and body seemed to freeze and she hesitated at touching his tablet, let alone drawing. She felt as if she were about to put her hooves on an extremely expensive glass vase and man she did not want to break it!

Dutifully, Ink adjusted the chair until the filly was at a good position. Walking away for a moment, he grabbed another one of his chairs and sat to the side of the filly. He was a little anxious about letting the filly use his new tablet but at the same time, he didn't want to crowd her and make her even more nervous. "Let me know if you need 'elp or tipz." he tried to say casually.

"Its just so.....so fancy." she breathed, smiling up at Ink. He was being so very kind and she didn't want to back down on his offer now. "Just don't want to go too fast and mess anything up....... but tips are always lovely." she smiled, looking over the program to get a feel for the basics before taking her first shot at trying to scribble down a cat. It was different from pencil and paper at first, that much was for certain, but Caramell was sure she'd get used to it quickly..... if only she had one of her own!
