Megrez's night on the town was proving to be interesting. There seemed to be more powered people out and about than usual. It was a bit of a mystery, really; it wasn't like people had to power up to shop for Thanksgiving (that would be an interesting experience if there ever was one). Wasn't Thanksgiving shopping best done on the day before so everything was fresh? No? It was all beside the point anyway. There was a small Order aura somewhere in the distance, that of a basic senshi. Megrez remembered how much danger she got into as a basic senshi and figured that the one over there could use a patrol buddy.

"Hello there!" she called out as she approached the new senshi on the street. "It's dangerous to patrol all by yourself as a basic senshi, you know."

The namedrop caught Megrez's attention immediately. "You've already met Castor? Sounds like you're well on your way up, then!" The compliment made Megrez smile and put one had to her face out of being flattered. "Aw, thanks! Guess I'm not so dirty today." Or bloody, she wanted to add, but she didn't want to scare this little senshi right off the bat. Then again, she had met Castor already, so who knew what she already knew? "Anyway, I'm Megrez, Senshi of Eggs. Nice to meet you, Methone! How long have you been a senshi?" That would be an important question in determining what information to dump on Methone's head.

"Oh, yeah, the magic space cleaning elves sure are convenient, aren't they? Or at least, the magic cleaning is." Megrez was pretty sure she had gotten the space elves idea from Megiddo. "Only a week or two old... man, it feels like forever since my first week as a senshi, even though it hasn't even been a year. You'll find that being a senshi makes a lot happen in a little time." The mention of Ash made Megrez perk up a bit. "Ash! She's the one who gave me my power upgrade. And she upgraded my phone, too. Did she do that for yours, too? I should meet up with her again sometime soon." Megrez pulled her senshi phone out of subspace to show off the fancy new (well, not quite so new anymore) touch screen on the device. "As for my magic, it's mostly offensive. My basic magic is just calling up a normal-sized chicken egg and chucking it at the enemy. It's good for a distraction or a quick hit. But my Super-level magic is an ostrich egg. It's bigger and harder and it hurts a lot more to get hit with. Not to mention that it's messier." Holding her phone down by her side (she would have to get a picture of the new senshi for her contacts, after all), she added, "How much have Castor and Ash told you about the senshi lifestyle?"

Methone was proving to be a rather interesting person. It was something in the way she drawled out her sentences and generally seemed to be a bit sleepy. Megrez was starting to wonder if she was medicated. She watched the hand playing with her hair warily; while she had gotten a bit more used to invasions of personal space courtesy of her loverfriends, it stuck out as a bit odd from Methone. "I'm a Super Senshi, the next rank up from your rank, basic. That's why my aura feels stronger." Listening to Methone's next statements made Megrez wag a cautionary finger. "They're not the 'so-called' Negaverse. They're the real deal, and if you accidentally have a run-in with one of their higher ups, they'll try and kill you. For real. Dead-dead. I was nearly killed by a General when I was a basic senshi. An Eternal Senshi had to come in and save me. Lieutenants you may have some leeway with."

The mention of mirrors caught Megrez's attention as well. "Mirrors? Do you mean the Dark Mirror Court? They're kind of a weird gray area. They're Chaos-affiliated, but... not all of them are hostile to White Moon senshi. Some of them really hate the Negaverse and will gladly team up with us to stomp them out, but a friend of mine mentioned that they're still kind of suspicious. I guess the only thing you can do is use discretion around them." She picked her phone up and began pressing some icons. "We should really register each other in each other's phones. You just take a picture of the other senshi and they're automatically registered. That way, if you run into any trouble, you can call me and I'll come help."

"He didn't? Huh. I would have thought that he'd mention that some Negas are bloodthirsty and really, really dangerous." It struck Megrez as kind of a peculiar gap in her expectations of how Castor would indoctrinate a new senshi. If anything, she expected that he would mention the potential murder first. Perhaps he was trying not to scare her, or simply didn't have time to warn her?

Megrez couldn't help but smile when Methone called her a cutie and complimented her hair. It was probably a weakness, but she was easily flattered. "You're too sweet," she said as she snapped Methone's photo and registered her into her phone. "There, done! Don't be afraid to give me a ring if you're in trouble." The question that Methone followed up with gave Megrez some food for thought. What had she done in this war so far? "Well... I'm kind of still trying to find my exact niche, but I think I'm almost there. I fight against youma and the Negaverse and I work to protect the city and the people. I haven't really taken out anyone significant yet aside from a few captains, but I have to do what I can. We all have to. You can start with youma and maybe the occasional lieutenant." The grin on Megrez's face gained a mischievous twist as she remembered something. "Oh, but I did manage to egg a General in the face once. It was great." Aside from how it got a hostage thrown off a roof, but she would leave that out for now.

"Well, you had better start worrying. You don't want to die, do you?" Megrez wanted to add a or is there something you're not telling me but decided against it. Another too-friendly touch sent a small shiver down her spine. "Um, sorry, I'm taken," she blurted out, mostly by accident. And double-taken at that, she added mentally. While she may not have minded a little tryst with this new senshi under very specific circumstances, she wasn't quite ready to do any of those things with her yet. She wasn't that easy, she hoped.

"Uh, anyway, cuties? Um..." No one stood out. But then... "Wait a second. You're not taking this seriously at all, are you? You've got to start taking this seriously! We're talking about protecting the city! The last thing you should do is start romancing the enemy. That will get ridiculously complicated." She felt silly for letting Methone throw her off like that.

"That's true, but a body is still a body. You can't expect to actually soak up hits from powerful enemies like you're in a game or something. When you get hit, it'll hurt." While most of Megrez's wounds had healed, she had been hit enough times to know the truth of her statements. Methone's apology left her apologizing in turn. "I'm sorry! I guess I read into it too much. I can understand what you're saying." The other senshi's behavior made sense now in light of those details. Sometimes, a touch was just a touch. "Sailor Flora? No, I've never met her. Who is she?"

"But this isn't a video game, and if there's a senshi of revival, I haven't met her. Or him. So until we find that magical reviving senshi, we have to take this seriously. And I bet even if we did find a senshi of revival, their magic would have some horrible drawback." Megrez tapped her chin with one finger as she mulled the details over. "Princess Chronos... I'm afraid I've never heard of her. The only Royal Senshi I know of is Castor, really. But what do you mean when you say 'courts?'" She gave Methone a "go on, elaborate" hand gesture.
