How did you come up with your character?
What things inspired the concept? What things helped shape that idea? And what things did you just blatantly rip off?

Well my last RP my Shinigami was inspired directly from the aspects of real life lions. That being said he was insanely strong in melee weak in range. This RP however I wanted to switch it up. I was inspired a lot from Kankuro from Naruto when thinking of my ranged abilities. I guess my falcon came a little from Deidara though that wasn't my intention lol.

I will freely admit that I ripped off the idea for Blackwolf Security Solutions from other famous (or infamous) private military contractors (namely Blackwater / Xe / Academi / whatever they change their name to now)

Yeah not sure how this guild views ripping. I was once in an RP where I kinda ripped from a mix of Pain and Shigure (or so they said because gravity manipulation is somehow something Naruto invented.)

To be honest, I don't give a damn if you ripped something from somewhere. In a way, 99% of the character pics are artwork stolen from other people anyway >w>;
So long as no one is playing Ichigo, I don't mind.
As for my character, I try to pick a general theme and a flaw and expand from them.
Nagisa/Ryuunosuke->Water/nonchalant jackass
Cillian->Mimic/bored psycho without empathy.

For me I usually take two characters I like and merge them together into one then give them a unique feature that neither of the two I based it on have.
Although Occasionally I will make a character who is completely original.

well since it been awhile since I last logged in I draw a lot of inspiration for my character from things I enjoy. now my Bleach character Yamamoto Hitsugaya originally started as a noob trope character but it eventually grew passed that point as I started molding his concept so much that it just the Hitsugaya name alone and no relation to the canon character
the Arrancar I was making before I didn't have much time to work on it. the name can from 2 characters from Super Robot War J story but I wanted his design to be from a web browser game I'm currently still playing to this day

I like to find a picture of my character first, just looking around random sites and choose something that sticks out for me. Based off what they look like I try and imagine what type of person they are and a type of zanpakuto they would have. I have a character that I used Toph as a huge influence though.

I like to base my characters on certain archetypes first and then build around that. For instance, my character Jubaku is built around the sage/wise teacher archetype and old people are always the ones with the most bad a** powers.
