After what felt like all the begging in the world Junjie and Kathel finally agreed to bring their children on a dragon hunt though, unlike last time, it was going to be far more carefully monitored. The two parents weren't ready to let the two of them go on their own, especially given how new they were with the weapons that they had recently acquired. Sure, they had been practicing but no matter how much one practiced actually fighting with a dragon with their weapons was a whole knew thing entirely. They had to be ready and the older men had learned anything last time around it was that the two weren't exactly adept dragon hunters. As such, as they went, Junjie and Kathel both started to give pointers, so that the two of them would know where to attack and how. Going for weak points and vitals, being careful with one's aim, and so on and so forth. They didn't want to see anything happen to their precious children after all so they meant to give them all the information that they felt would be needed. No matter what they said though it wouldn't prepare either father for when they finally found the dragon that the two kids were looking for.
Keona looked over at Bisera as she took her bow off her arm and drew an arrow from her quiver, "Well, you heard our dads, Bi, we need to see if we can use all of what they told us to best take this guy down." She told him, notching the arrow and took a careful aim, "I am gonna shoot him and then you can bash him with that mace of yours." She ordered her friend.
Bisera gave a little roll of his eyes behind the goggles he wore before he said, "Yeah, yeah Nana, I got it." Lifting his massive mace up, resting it against his shoulder, he prepared himself for her to take the shot. The moment that she did the dragon gave a rather loud, angry snarl as the arrow buried itself in the Kiandri's eye. The creature was quick to swing around toward where the two of them were waiting, it's head down low, teeth barred... and Bisera lunged forward to bring his mace down against its head with a good, loud CRACK sound.
The dragon stood still before them for a moment, staggered, then keeled over to one side and went still before fading away into nothing, leaving just the orbs behind. The two apprentices exchanged looks then raced forward to pick up the orbs, squealing as they went. It was a swift battle, one that had gone far better then their first attempts at such a thing, and it was something that had their fathers starring in wide eyed shock.
