Sorry, it's a little rough. It's been a little bit since I last rped her XD
The chill in the air caused Crusnik to bristle a bit. She sighed to herself thinking it was too early for this kind of chill but the weather was what it was. She wasn’t able to change it and so she didn’t waste any more time thinking about it. She had just spent a couple weeks in the burned region where that fire had run rampant. Lutra had stationed her and her daughter there because they were able to manage the situation better than most others. Her lantern with it’s purple flame rocked back and forth as she walked, she could hear a stream nearby, her ear flicking toward the sound. She would need to get some fresh water to clear out her throat. It was hard breathing in the smoke that was still coming off the trees.
The mare just walked forward, slipping between some bushing to make her way toward the stream. She was tired from the assignment. She helped as many of the horses as she could but she had to go home to refuel. She was losing her focus and after a few days at home and a couple good meals she would be dispatched out there again. That was the way the system was working for this. She and Rosen were working in intervals so that one of them was always there, though Crusnik would have been to be stationed out there the whole time. Lutra said it wouldn’t be health and he was very hesitant to send other horses to offer the support. Something about the others getting to emotional over the devastating loss.
But that didn’t matter. The evening sky pelted mare was efficient in her job, she tracked down missing family members, collected surviving members not to mention gathering of the souls for The Flame. From what she had been over hearing, a majority of the horses in the region perished in the fire. That meant there would be a lot of wandering souls that had trouble crossing over. Her flame was looking rather plump. Her silver eyes glanced down to it before she approached the stream, setting the lantern down and was about to crane her neck. She could almost taste the clean water… But it was at that point that her eyes caught site of something that seemed to flow in the moon’s light. She tilted her head to the side and then took in the form and noted that it was a horse.
She flicked at ear at him in greeting and then went back to her business at hand and craned her neck to get some water. As she took in the water, it washed away the harsh taste that had coated her mouth and throat, causing her to cough.
