Ever since his encounter with the mauvian Zirconia, Falias had found himself slipping out on the patrol beat a little more than he'd been doing. A little more was probably relative given that it was no where near the levels that he'd been snatching to patrol prior to Mistral.
But this outing added to the three outings of the previous week bought his total to four in two weeks - which had to be some sort of record given how often he'd been powering up as late.
Tonight as on his previous outings, he was out trying to see if he could find one of the shards of crystal that Zirconia had told him about, something that had cause him to do more than the whole lot of nothing that his patrols - if you could really call them that - had fallen into and drift away from his usual stomping grounds of the park.
Not having come across anything of note, however, he had been planning to turn around and head back - well he had until he had caught the two auras. The first was warm, but weak, a Page's aura. The second however was dark and chaotic and strength-wise felt more akin to that of his own level-wise.
It reminded him of when he had been a Page and the night that he had come across the Dark Mirror Super that had tried to kill him and although the aura was not a Dark Mirror one, it didn't stop him from shifting his steps as he moved to investigate.Songstress Kitsune Sorry for the delay in getting this up Song. Let me know if anything needs changing :3

Kerberos already had his evening's target pinned, and his fingers were wrapped around the poor struggling Page's starseed. It was, right then, merely a method to keep him as still as possible, because the Corrupt's other hand held an improvised weapon, a sharp rock, which would do well enough to make his target bleed.
And that was always what he wanted.
He could feel a Squire aura approaching, and he growled softly. "It may be your lucky night, if this other idiot sees fit to intervene," he said, eyes narrowed. The Page just whimpered pathetically.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?"
It actually hadn't taken that long for Falias to catch up to the source of the two auras.
Initially it had been because as it had turned out the two auras hadn't been very far away and neither of them had been moving, but after he'd gotten close enough it had been the sound of whimpering that had ended up drawing him.
He'd found a Page being pinned by a Super senshi garbed in some sort of toga type ensemble, catching glimpses of green as the former tried to fend off the latter in what was clearly a losing battle.
The scene had been so eerily similar to the night that he'd experienced with Al Janah that for a moment Falias had just stared at the pair and then he had seen red as he saw the glimpse of something in the Corrupt Super's hand and strode over to the duo with the intention of physically separating the two because no way in hell was he going to let the other pull what looked to be an Al Janah in front of him - not on his watch.

Kerberos made an angry, frustrated noise, withdrawing his hand from the Page's chest. He hated pulling starseeds, really - the death it left was too pretty, too clean, and so denied the opportunity to kill the way he wanted to, he was instead content to let his original prey go and deal instead with the interloping Squire. He let the rock go, and it hit the ground with a heavy thwunk.
"What the hell does it look like?" He asked, his voice sharp and cold. "I was going to kill that pathetic sack of s**t, but if you'd rather die tonight in his place, that's just fine with me." He was still ready to kill, and particularly with a Squire of Earth crossing his path, he wanted blood.
"Unless you think you're stronger than me, somehow?"

"I'd rather that nobody did any dying" Falias' voice was sharp, a part of him relieved when the corrupted thankfully drew his hand from the Page's chest. "But if you want to go after the Page then you'll have to go through me."
If was just based on strength then he was sure he could take the other if it came to it. He was taller and despite his build, he had a feeling that he outweighed the corrupt. The other's magic was an unknown factor however, although they were similar ranks if he was remembering his ranks.
Besides if it came to it he had his own magic - even if he hadn't the foggiest what said magic did. Although if it came down to it and tonight was the day he finally found out then he was hoping that it would turn out to be more useful than his actual 'weapon'.

"That's cute," Kerberos said, almost mockingly. He could hear the Page whimpering in fear, and then running feet. Fine, fine, he was getting away, that was just ******** fine, he had a better target here.
"Asphodel's Regret!" The Super declared, bringing his hands up to his face and blowing, hard, and even as his magic was still settling in he was bringing a leg around for a roundhouse kick. There would be no playing, not tonight, not when he was already furious.Asphodel's Regret! Sailor Kerberos cups his hands in front of his face and says the name of his attack, then blows. Asphodel petals fly out of his hands towards one target within eight feet of him. The target begins to feel a deeper, stronger regret, as well as a feeling of clinging hopelessness, though the apparent "reason" will vary from person to person, and may be something they wouldn't normally regret at all. The effect is the same no matter the target's rank. This effect lasts for 30 seconds. Sailor Kerberos can use this twice per battle.

He could hear whimpering sounds from back in the direction of the Page, but in this case whimpering was good because it meant that the other was still alive. Hearing footsteps was even better though as it meant that the not only could the Page move but that he was taking a hint and taking the opportunity.
Which just left the corrupted super, who was using... Magic?
It was the petals blowing towards him that he noticed first, then the smell - a sweet, light scent that wrapped around him...
And then suddenly he was back in Mistral's deathrinth as Mistral's 'doll' turned its murderous attention on little Menae.
Not her too... He couldn't let the thing get her too...
He could see Menae squaring off against the doll, but he couldn't let the thing get her - because he had to get at least one of the kids out, get one of the kids home.
He could see the doll pick Menae up, could feel the hopelessness even as he tried to get to her.
Too late...
He had to get to her.
Too late...
It was safe to say that his attention was not on the corrupted super - as he just stood there - completely wide openly as the smaller senshi kicked him.Songstress Kitsune I uh regret nothing from this tag - I just hope I got the effects of Kerby's attack down right

If Kerberos had a more inquiring, scientific sort of mind, he might be curious about the varying and rather fun effects his magic had on people. Falias looked totally lost, almost unable to defend himself, and that was just great for Kerberos, and that was all that mattered to him right them. His kick connected easily enough, and so he swung a punch at the Squire’s face.
Were he a better man, he might feel bad, beating on a distracted opponent.
Unfortunately for Falias, he was not.litian BEAUTIFUL I DON'T KNOW HOW I MISSED THIS

Caught up as he was in the memory nightmare of Mistral Falias was not aware of being wide open, had stopped being aware of anything outside of the scene of watching Mistral's 'toy' beating little Menae to death...
Awareness came in the form of pain, the vision of Mistral's deathrinth splintering as the corrupted senshi's foot drove into him and it that wasn't bad enough it was followed by yet more pain this time from the vicinity of his eye as the other's fist crashed into his face too fast for him to block.
The twin combination of blows was enough to knock him off-balance, Falias finding himself topping inexorably towards the ground.
He made a clumsy attempt to grab at the blue-haired corrupt as he fell however, memory sliding back to him in a sudden rush, the aim had been to try and get the shorter b*****d off balance because no way did Falias want to be the only one on the ground.
He'd learnt that the painful way from Al-Janah - being on the ground made you vulnerable.Noir Songbird No worries Song, apologies for the delay in the tag back

Kerberos went down, but he went down elbow first, with the intention of doing Falias a little more damage. He wasn't ready to stop fighting yet, and if it turned into hand to hand combat on the ground, well, that was just fine. He could do a full-frontal hair-pulling angry-swearing tangle in the dirt if that was what he had to do.
"I'm gonna kill you," he growled, "rip out your starseed and feed it to the next Knight I find and see what happens." It was an empty threat, but the Squire didn't know that.

He wasn't sure what he snagged, but it seemed like at some point he'd succeeded in toppling the shorter male over with him.
The idea was to use the opportunity to try and put things on a more even footing and use the opportunity to get up from the ground.
He wasn't expecting the other's follow up 'elbow gift' or that the shorter b*****d would fall in such a way to cause said elbow to drive into his side with what felt like all of his weight behind it.
But obviously today was not his day because that was exactly what happened and he let out a pained sound that sounded like a cross between a yelp and an oof as said elbow drove into his side.Noir Songbird I'll probably have Falias channel his magic next post if that works Song

Kerberos laughed, the kind of bizarre, slightly crazy laughter that only came from someone that was way too lost to bloodlust to think straight. This was it, he would finally be able to go for the kill and get the dead Knight he'd been after from the beginning - and that was all that mattered to him, now.
So he got himself into position to straddle the Squire, and reached down, hand going straight for his chest. He'd take this b*****d's starseed, and then he'd go.litian works for me! you're welcome to have him block the starseed grab too of course - kerberos is just very KILL IT NOW sort of mentality

Not again.
His current position reminded Falias uncomfortably of the last he had been in a position like this.
Not again!
The Super senshi in question had been a Dark Mirror senshi that time, hands reaching out almost casually for his neck.
This time it was a Negaverse senshi, hands once again reaching out.
Not again!
It was almost belated that Falias realised that the other male's intended destination was his chest and not his neck and by then it was almost too late.
His hands reached out in a panicked scrabble as he tried almost desperately to shift the other male from his position, even as the other cackled manically at him in a way that would have made any James Bond villain proud.
His hands reached out in a panicked scrabble as he tried almost desperately to shift the other male and then his hand touched wood - curled around wood - just as the Super senshi's hand touched his chest.
Perhaps it was the panic, perhaps it was the fear-laced anger that once again he was in a position that after Al-Janah he had promised himself that he would never again be or perhaps it was just time...
Either way as his hand clutched round the wood of his wand, the wand glowed, a sign (although Falias did not realise it) that the Earth Squire was finally channelling his magic.
The magic of Falias was linked to mistletoe lore and specifically to the truce - protecting those willing to uphold it within the protective circle formed around its Knight.
But for those unwilling to uphold the truce? For those with violent intentions or who had turned hostile? There was no place within the circle for such and the magic acted accordingly.Quote: Squire magic: By channelling his magic a protective circle with a five foot radius will form around Falias Squire. Only those with non-violent intentions or those willing into enter into a ‘truce’ (ie. temporarily stop fighting) with Falias will be able to step into this circle while the magic is being channelled. Falias cannot attack anyone himself while the magic is being channelled otherwise he will break the spirit of the truce and the magic will end. Nb. This magic will not prevent magic attacks from crossing into the circle and harmful attacks cannot be used on those within or without the circle. Also the magic will only protect those with non-hostile intentions. Should someone within the circle turn hostile/ start thinking about attacking then the magic will repel them from the circle. Noir Songbird I'm not sure Kerby will like Falias' magic - but I think his current 'kill it now' mentality counts nicely as being hostile xD

His prize was finally under his fingers - Kerberos was going to be able to claim this Squire's starseed, as payment for getting in the way of his other kill.
And then he was violently thrown back, ejected from whatever bizarre magic circle the Squire had created, sent falling on his a** a few feet away.
"What the ********?" He asked, startled. It wasn't like he could accuse the Squire of not playing fair; he'd thrown around his magic himself. "God ******** damn it, this is why I like fighting Pages," he snarled. "What even was that?"litian NOT ONE TEENY TINY BIT, HE DOES NOT LIKE THIS, OH NO

One moment Falias could feel the Super Senshi's fingers pressing against his chest and then they were gone.
In fact the Super Senshi was gone, the other's weight no longer pressing against him and his wand - his wand was glowing.
He could still sense the other's aura, could hear his voice as he snarled something about preferring Pages, but for a moment Falias' startled attention was on his wand.
Was that my magic? Did my magic just do that? The questions flitted across his mind, one quickly following the other as he pulled himself up from the ground and tucked the wand into his pocket.
The action seemed to end the glow thing, the barrier surrounding him falling as he eyed the Super Senshi "You're not the only one with tricks" Falias told him, his words outwardly hopefully sounding confident despite the fact that he wasn't quite sure how he'd managed to get his particular 'trick' to work.Noir Songbird Falias has no sympathy xD also did we want to start to move towards a wrap on this one?
