Hi, my name is Emilia Beckstead

But I mostly go by Emmy

I'm a female

I'm 26 years old.

My birthday is March 3rd

I work in St. Mungo's as a Welcome Witch

My dream job is not exactly sure, hopefully, something to make the world a better place.

My blood status is Half-Blood

I'm currently with no one...exactly.

I may seem quiet and shy, maybe even a bit anti-social but I'm really really quite the opposite. I like to be in control of situations but really I am willing to let myself be free and live life to its fullest. I just love adventures.

My background story is nothing too extravagant. I was born to my mother when she was only just about eighteen. She met my father just after graduating from Hogwarts, he was a muggle but she didn't care, she was madly in love with him, or so she thought. They got married and about six months later I was born. My father turned out to be a bit of a scumbag. I don't know all the details but he wasn't exactly the ideal husband or father when I was just a year old he left. My mother had nothing and had a young daughter to still worry about supporting. She worked everyday of her entire life to give me the best life she could, it wasn't much but I was happy. When I was eleven I got my letter to Hogwarts, I was so happy when that owl flew in the window. I had spent my entire life dreaming about it but something soon occurred to me. There was no way my mother would be able to pay for me to attend school there. I hid the letter because I didn't want her to feel guilty but of course, she found it. She was so happy for me and didn't say anything about the cost. Before I knew it I was on the train to Hogwarts. I still don't know how she managed to get me there but I'm grateful for it every day. I went to Hogwarts and was sorted into Gryffindor. I was able to do well in my classes and worked as hard as I could so that I would be able to have a good life for myself. During the summers, I would go home and find all the odd jobs I could to try and pay my mom back. One day we were in Diagon Alley and we ran, quite literally, into Sean Beckstead. He was the owner of a shop in Diagon, we ended up talking to him for quite some time and he offered both me and my mother jobs at his store. I spent practically that whole summer there and he and my mother grew closer. By the time I came back next summer they were engaged. We also discovered that Sean was much wealthier than we first imagine. He was, in fact, rich had a title and everything. They were married and Sean officially adopted me shortly after. I returned to Hogwarts and I became a prefect for Gryffindor and soon my mother had my little sister, Alice. She was much younger than me but we were best friends. I graduated from Hogwarts and worked in the Ministry for about a year. I was so happy but things soon changed. It was early in January, I was at work when I got the news. I didn't even know the man who told me but he looked so upset. My parents had been out for a walk and there was a drunk driver lost control and hit them before ramming into a cafe. That man killed six people that day. I gave up my life so that I could keep Alice with me. She's now everything to me and I do my best to be a good as a mother for her as my mom was. She started Hogwarts this year and I can hardly believe it. I miss her but it is good for both of us. I also may have been on a date or two with a friend of mine after another friend set us up...I'm not sure.

I enjoy adventures, working for what I have, chocolate cake, being in control, being with Alice.

Personality: Alice is often mistaken to be shy or quiet, as it is rare for her to start a conversation first, particularly with a stranger. However, that is far from the case. She likes people and socializing, but lives by the adage 'you have one mouth but two ears, so you can listen twice as often as you talk'. When she speaks up she wants to make it count and does not feel the need to say something merely to fill silence. Alice is highly observant of the world around her and is a quick learner-but her favorite way to learn is to actually experience the outdoors and world around her. She loves being outside and nature and exploring-it goes hand in hand with her active imagination.

The most important person in her life right now is her (half) sister Emilia, who she holds the utmost respect for, especially her sister's diligence, hard work, and kindness-and of course her sister's love for adventure which she has always encouraged in Alice. Or at least adventure with a bit of common sense.

Background Information: Alice Beckstead was born from the second marriage of her older sister's (half sister) Emilia's mother and her father Sean Beckstead. Emilia's and Alice's mother had married young to a muggle man after graduating Hogwarts but it was an unhappy marriage at best and the man, Emilia's father, left when she was just a year old. Emilia and her mother struggled financially for some time and one summer Emilia and her mother came to start working for Sean Beckstead, Alice's father, a owner of a shop in Diagon Alley who the two had quite literally ran into. Over time Emilia's mother and Sean Beckstead grew closer, and presumably fell in love, as they were engaged to be married by the next summer of meeting. It was at that time the two married, Sean adopted Emilia officially, and the newly married couple went on to have Alice Beckstead late in January of 2018. Her older half sister, Emilia, adored her and Alice adored her sister. They got along well since when Alice was born and even after Emilia graduated and moved out she still visited often to play with Alice. Things were wonderful for Alice. She had two parents who loved her. A big sister she adored and adored her. That all changed though in early January of 2021. She had been being watched by a baby sitter while her parents went out on a date night and to most likely pick up last minute gifts for Alice's upcoming birthday when they were struck by a drunk driver who had crossed onto the sidewalk and then crashed into a cafe. Six people had died that day. Alice didn't understand too much of the details only her parents weren't coming back because of those scary automobiles and that her big sister Emilia would be taking care of her from then on. While Alice misses her parents-and still does-her memories are fairly vague of them and mostly considers her big sister Emilia a mother, a sister, and her best friend in the world. She misses her parents, of course, but since it happened when she was so young and thanks to Emilia's care Alice doesn't feel the pain of the loss of her parents as much as some children would. She feels very blessed because of this.
