A little kitten was mewling at the person who was currently kneeling down and talking to it. "My... you are an adorable little one." Evren giggled as it mewled at her some more. "You wouldn't happen to be lost? If so then, you and I are certainly two peas in a pod..." Evren stood up and the little kitten weaved itself around her feet. Evren put her finger to her chin in thought.
"I wonder how I got to this park anyway... Wasn't I going to the grocery store?" She then walked over to the fountain and sat down on its edge. "Everything will be alright though... I was told if I got lost just to stay put and ca..." As she looked over at her waist she then realized something. "Ah... I seem to have forgotten my purse at home."
The kitten just tilted its head at her. "Hmmm... now what shall we do?" Evren mumbled to herself.

On her way back from Tae Kwon Do practice, Norma decided to take the short cut through the park to shave a few minutes off of her commute. This time of day it was normally abandoned, so she was a little surprised when she spotted a girl about her age sitting on the edge of the fountain. She was about to simply walk past when it registered that the girl was talking to herself. Or maybe she was talking to the cat? Who's cat was that, even? Who took a kitten to the park anyways... Knowing she would probably regret it, Norma paused and turned to look at the stranger and asked "Hey...you lost or something?" as she readjusted her backpack straps on her shoulders.

Evren turned to look at the newcomer and smiled brightly at her. “Yes! I have absolutely no clue where I am.” The kitten at her feet mewled. “I was heading to get groceries but it turns out I left my purse at home so I couldn't buy anything even if I were to find my way there now.” She continued to smile brightly until she looked like she had realized something. “Oh! My name is Evren Porter! I haven’t lived around here for very long… at least I don’t think so anyway.” Evren paused for a few seconds looking disgruntled before returning back to smiling. “You wouldn't happen to know where I am exactly do you Miss?”

Evren's enthusiastic reply to her question made Norma blink and then stare as the red head laid out her tale of woe. Not that she seemed particularly woeful, but many other people might have been in tears in a similar situation. "Are you-" Norma paused. She had nearly been about to add 'brain damaged' to the end of her question, but the other girl's warm, friendly smile made it impossible for even someone of her temper to ask such a thing. "Might be faster if you just tell me your address," Norma said finally as she fished in her back pocket and pulled out her cellphone so she could pull up her GPS app. She glanced up from the screen, brow furrowed suspiciously as she asked "You do know your address, right?"

“Oh yes! Thank you very much for the assistance! Umm let’s see… I live at 143 Artisans Drive.” She then wrinkled her face inn confusion for a second. “But the pet clinic might be closer on 400 Millers Street.” She then leaned over from where she was sitting and daintily picked up the kitten that was still at her feet. “I actually want to get Little Meow here looked at there so that should be the direction we go in.” “I think Mr Porter should still be there at this time.” She then scratched the kitten a little so it started purring. “But if where I live is closer then you can point me in that direction!” Evren mused to herself she could just get the little guy checked out in the morning if her home was closer. Though they might be mad because she had already met her quota for strays this week.

Norma found herself staring again before shaking herself mentally and typing the address into her phone "Pet clinic it is..." She waited a moment for the map to load, then thumbed briefly through the directions "It's a fifteen minute walk!" she exclaimed "Just how the hell lost did you get?" Norma grumbled ill-naturedly. Despite how far out of her way it was, she started off anyways, leading the way across the park to the street on the opposite side. They'd gone about a block before it occurred to her to ask "Wait...is that even your cat?"

Evren giggled. “Well I only recently learned that I have no sense of direction so I guess I didn’t notice.” She continued petting the cat. “Nope Little Meow here has most likely been separated from his mother… or maybe just kicked him out.” Little Meow didn’t have collar or anything on him so. “We’ll try and find a home for this little guy after he gets his shots.” Evren trailed behind her. “So anyway what is your name?” After all in Evren’s book this person was already her new friend so you absolutely have to know your new friend’s name.

Well, the kitten wasn't wearing a collar or anything...taking it to a pet clinic probably was the best bet. Norma just hoped that Evren hadn't stolen it from some unsuspecting mother cat during her wanderings through the city... “So anyway what is your name?”"Er...it's Norma," the girl said, taken enough off guard by the sudden question to spill without thinking. She frowned slightly, then figured that even if this girl was off her rocker, there wasn't a lot of damage she could do just knowing her name "Norma Fauste," she added a beat later. She kept walking, checking the GPS on her phone every so often to make sure they were still heading the right way. The silence began to feel awkward after a block or two, though, so Norma finally caved and asked a question. "So, uh...you go to school around here?" Stump_Fairy Ugh, sorry I disappeared! My muse totally died there for a while @__@

Evren smiled and continued to pet the little kitten. "Well Norma thank you very much for helping us." Evren decided not to say anything more as she didn't want to interrupt the girl's concentration. Though Evren was happy when Norma spoke up again and asked her if she was in school. "Ah... well not yet... its sort of a complicated situation... but when everything gets settled I plan on going to Meadowview High..." She followed steadily behind Norma. "...Well to make a long story short I was sorta in an accident and got amnesia." Evren tilted her head to the side. "It's kinda strange but everything is new to me."

Amnesia? Well damn, that definitely explained more than it didn't "Seriously?" Norma said, tone not exactly disbelieving, but definitely surprised and curious "What happened?" she asked, completely ignoring the fact that this was no doubt a very rude question to ask a stranger. She couldn't help it, it sounded like something out of a daytime soap opera. She'd never met anyone that actually had amnesia before. "It's kinda strange but everything is new to me." "Well yeah, obviously," the brunette said with a grimace "No wonder you got so damn lost! Still, Meadowview's not bad, from what I've heard," she remarked aloud "One of the easier schools in town, and the staff aren't hard-asses like they are at St. Magdelena's," Norma continued "That's where I go. And live. And eat." Her grimace of dislike was back as she thought of her school. The only, very minor, perk she could think of about going there was that it tended to give her automatic points in the rebel/punk category. After all, good little girls didn't get sent to St. Magdelena's...just the delinquents.

Evren scrunched her face together in serious thought. "I think the doctors came to the conclusion that I must of been in a mugging or something." She cuddled the cat closer to her. "But nobody really knows... the real problem was I didn't match anyone in the computer... so Evren might not be my real name it was just the first one that came to my head so I assumed..." She then laughed nervously. "It kinda hard to believe. I mean I'm the one this all happened to and I'm not sure what to make of it... " Evren just smiled again. As they talked about school. "Well since I have to learn most things over again so it still might be awhile before I can go..." She said this pouting her lips. She went back to a thoughtful look when Norma talked about her school. "I knew there were a few other schools in the city... but I don't really understand it all yet... is the one you go to some elite one or something?" Evren was generally confused. "I can't imagine having tough teachers... or having any teachers... I'm kinda excited to start school actually..."
