Uuvanimo snuffed against the ground quickly. His long tail was just barely in the water. The prey he had eaten earlier had been small and not nearly filling enough he was ready to hunt again. Still there was nothing close to the shore line. Turning he headed into the water and began to travel the waterline. The only thing of his body that could be seen above the water was his kelp like appendages drifting along the surface as he moved. Every so often he would surface for a single breath before dipping back down below the lake’s surface and resuming his hunt. Water prey could be hard to catch where land prey could be trampled down. Not for the first time he wished he had claws rather than hooves.

Sashiline: was walking around the day seemed to be long but she didn't mind. She was just happy to get a walk in. Enjoying the nature around her she hummed and thought to herself "I haven't met anyone yet hmm maybe it's time I try even though I'm really shy I guess it's worth a shot." With that in mind Sashiline turned her direction and headed to grab a drink before trying to find if anyone was around.

A ripple in the currents made him turn his head and head toward the source of disturbance. Originally he had intended to snap out of the water and bite this new prey quickly. His plan changed immediately when he broke the surface and there before him was an azerien head. Back pedaling with his mouth open he fell to the left and splashed in the water. As the cold liquid reached down his throat for his lungs he surfaced again coughing and shaking his head. Still mostly covered by the water it took quite some time before the coughing fit subsided. He might well be hailed as a monster but he only killed other azrein when he himself was attacked.

Sashiline: was just about to take a drink having just reached the lake. She jumped with a squeal thinking she was seeing things and walked up again to look. "Are you okay" she tried to ask not standing out and smiled trying to keep herself from seeming silly as well.

Coughing a few more times he turned his head and stared at what was apparently a female. His gaze likely looked like a glare most thought it was. A low rumble emanated from his throat as his eyes flicked over her form. Not much of a threat all things considered. Deciding she wasn’t going to attack he moved to the shore and stepped out of the water wondering how long it was going to take for her to start running. Licking his maw he nodded his head. A bit rueful for his actions but she seemed non the worse for the ware. Finally he remember he didn’t actually say and most others demanded some form of conversation from him. “Fine. You?”

Sashiline: looked and smiled "well I'm glad I thought I had scared you because I came up to the lake first. I hope I didn't disturb you if you were in the middle of something. What would be your name your sure pretty." Sashiline said with a big odd smile and worried that she was talking too much. She continued on to say "I'm fine but I have not met many other azrein and I can be pretty shy I'm sorry if I talk too much and seem silly." She finished saying and smiled

The little mare who didn’t have a sharp tooth at all possibly scare him? The idea was so ridiculous that he laughed. It sounded a rough with a wet gurgle to the end. “Uuvanimo. I was hunting.” With that simple explanation he explained what he was doing in the water. It also told the mare he ate meat if she were smart. How had she not run away yet? Perhaps she was blind? No she was looking right at him not past him. He took a step toward her in a way to experiment. She said she was shy but he saw none of that with how much she was speaking now. Still her voice was not unpleasant to his ears.

Sashiline: eyed the male and started giggling as she stepped forward "what a pretty name my name is Sashiline it's a pleasure to meet you." Her tail started swishing "oh hunting so you eat meat how often do you hunt I just eat the plain old grass. Gosh I'm talking too much if i am feel free to tell me to be quiet." She said looking down and toying with a piece of grass in between her hooves.

She was giggling not even shaking at all. Stopping his advance he gave her an incredulous look. His name was pretty? Her name made him think of fish but that wasn’t a bad thing. He also didn’t think it was something worth saying since it might well just be his stomach talking. “Often. Small prey not filling.” He’s muscles in his hind quarts twitched in a sort of shrug. He took a glance around for others but the mare was alone. Why travel in such a state in lands that might well be dangerous.

Sashiline: looked on and said "oh small prey, the bigger prey must really be hard to get" she said out loud not realizing it. Then walked up humming "so when your not hunting what are you usually doing" she said trying to make small talk while thinking amongst her own thoughts. Looking back down at the grass she said in her head "I wonder what game this guy would know to play" she thought to herself and smiled gathering her nerves together.

He nodded about the larger prey. Bigger prey could be dangerous and could fight back he knew that well enough. Cocking his head he curled his tail back for a moment trying to see if she was joking or not. Tossing his head toward the water he gave her his more time consuming task. “swimming, traveling.” He watched as her eyes found places to look. Perhaps she wasn’t as foolish as he had thought. If his appearance was in a way disturbing it made sense she would wish to look elsewhere. He moved a bit closer to mare wondering if she would flee. Was she prey or not?

Sashiline: looked up with a smile "yes that is understandable it would take time and effort. You probably have to lay out a whole plan before going for those type of prey." She said and continued to smile "oh those are lovely things to do I'm not the best at swimming but I like to swim at times when I can. Traveling can be fun too but it's always more dinner when you are not alone yet being alone you do tend to notice the small details of what is around you." She felt him come closer and just smiled "so I don't know if you know any games but I tend to have fun playing games with others if you do." She said stopping her being nervous for the sec and looking at uuvanimo and smiled.

Shaking his head he had to admit he didn’t know any games. He paused wondering what was involved with playing games and what kinds this prey liked to play. Chuffing he tried to shove those thoughts out of his head but it was hard since they kept popping back up. Finally he gave up and decided to speak to her about it. “What games?” While not the most elegant monster in the world it probably got his point across that he was curious about what kinds of games this prey liked to play. He could always try and catch and eat her later so there was no harm in asking now. Though all this talk on his end was hard for him since he had never spoken so much in his life and much less to a being he had though was prey not moments before.
