The mission parameters were simple at first glance, take down an enemy and get back to base. An inner city area of London already known for violence was experiencing an marked increase in said violence. The nature of it had the air of ritual and the word cult was being bandied about by papers and in the morbid chatter of people otherwise going about their daily lives. The Eclipse team was not, however, there to discover the cause, as that had been found out by a Death hunter who did not long survive the report.

Danielle Sinagra had been sighted in the area, a hunter that had gone missing after her base in Peru had gone Red. Stealth was now being set aside in favor of force and experience. Stealth hadn't helped Pascal Sanchez, not when the last line of his report was she's hunting me.

Going from the clean sea air of Deus to the cramped alley of a London ghetto had America making a displeased face. She was a creature that lived in her senses and those senses said <******** gross. Dressed in worn jeans, and ratty t-shirt, and a denim jacket, the girl adjusted her canvas messenger bag and raised her eyes at Peyton. "So we're supposed to draw attention but not look like we're trying to." She grinned, shameless, "No wonder they sent the Hot Team."

"Yeah, subtly isn't really our thing." Peyton smirked, digging hands into pockets of her dinosaur hoodie. The tee shirt she was wearing was hidden, but the ratty hem of cut offs could be seen just below the sweater. Dark galaxy print leggings were layered beneath. She made a face at the alley around them, the muscles jumping in one cheek. "Even for an alley this is nasty." One foot lifted experimentally, just to see if the tread of bet boot stuck.

It did.

"So where should we start?"

"Let's try for something less...garbagey," America griped, leading the way out of the alley. Body language casually confident, her eyes scanned above and ahead in brief, cautious sweeps. The alley exited into a rundown neighborhood, the few people visible on the street rushing as fog filtered daylight began to fade. The two stood out in a few ways, but most jarring was simply the lack of fear.

Walking through the area, America asked quietly, with a calm earned through months of nightmares and panic attacks, "You think it might be here too?"

"Agreed." The sooner they left the smell behind, the better. Taking shallow breaths, Peyton fell into step behind the Moon until they were free from the ally, emerging into what looked to be a neighborhood. Hands crammed as deep into her pockets as they could possibly be, the shorter of the two watched on as a middle aged man hurriedly made his way down the sidewalk and into a car. Not all that odd on it's own, but the next person pale eyes fell was also moving rapidly. It had brows dipping, a puzzled frown tugging at her lips, before America's question pulled her attention back to her partner.

"Definitely can't rule it out. Something has these people spooked, that's for sure." Neither had to clarify what it meant. They both knew.

Her thumbs rolled over the rings that circled her thumbs, and Warrick gave a reassuring rumble at the back of her mind. There, ready.

America focused on her breathing, on her heartbeat, on the rhythm of Peyton's steps. She'd be able to handle this. If worse came to worse she could handle this. They had a job to do.

Half an hour later, through chill and increasingly empty streets, they passed by a warehouse when the sounds of shouting reached their ears. And not just an angry fight sort of shouting, or someone upset shouting, this was a sort they were both familiar with: the vicious joy of a press of bodies egging on two people beating the living s**t out of each other.

At some point in their walking Peyton had reached out to loop her arm around America's holding tightly. An obvious bid for warmth, but also a reassuring, for both of them.

As the sounds of altercation reached her the Sun frowned, head turning towards the warehouse to stare, listening. It could have been nothing more than back ally brawling. Underground boxing. A gambling ring.

It could have been worst.

"We should probably check that out." While exercising extreme caution, of course.

The warehouse was large with several visible entrances, though a number were boarded up or blocked with debris. One such was a fire escape, the bottom ladder pulled up and out of reach. Fixing on it, America raised her eyebrows, "I'd rather get the view above, all said."

Giving Peyton's hand a squeeze, the redhead let go and dashed toward the wall, kicking off and up to gain the needed height to climb up and release the ladder. There was a brief shriek of metal that had her cringing, looking left and right as she waited for the other girl to join her.

There's several floors they can access, each with a locked door and several locked windows.

Obtaining the higher ground seemed like a great idea, so Peyton just nodded as America gave her arm a squeeze and released her. She watched on, impressed, at the aerobic feat that allowed the taller girl to grab the ladder and shimmy up it, then headed over to climb up herself as it was lowered down for her(not that she couldn't have gotten up the same way, but convenience.).

There was a short pause as Peyton attempted to peer through a grimy window, but the dirt was so thick she could see nothing beside blobby shadows moving around inside. "I can't see s**t. We should get higher, try to find a way in." Maybe they could get into the rafters, that'd be a great place to investigate from.

She glanced back at America before making her way up the next section of fire-escape stairs.

"Right-o," America agreed quietly. Though rusted and fairly ancient, the fire escape proved sturdy enough to quietly scale. At the top, there was one last window, this one broken and covered with cardboard, as well as ladder to the roof. Pushing at the cardboard, avoiding the jagged remains of the glass, America leaned in through it to peer down.

Stepping back to allow Peyton the view, she stated, "Few dozen people down there, they look ******** rowdy."

While the blonde looked at the crowd below, there was a shift of bodies that revealed Sinagra, standing off to the side and gazing right back up at her.

Peyton shimmied her way up right on America's heels, pausing beside the other girl as she peeled the cardboard away. Even before she had a chance to look herself she could hear the mass of bodies down below. Not just the cries and shouts, but the impact of flesh on flesh. It had her frowning before she even leaned in herself to take a look.

Then she rather abruptly jerked back, features gone grim. "Well, we wanted to draw her attention..." They certainly had it now. Or, Peyton did, in any case. "She saw me." Had been staring up at her when the crowd parted, as if she'd sensed them up there.

"What's the game plan?"

"Welp," America drawled with a grim smile, "she may know we're here but that doesn't mean we can't still get the drop on her. How bout one of us keep her focus here n'the other wiggles the lock on the door on the first floor? Come at her on both sides."

"That works for me." Her head cocked to the side, gaze dipping back through the window, though she couldn't see Sinagra through the crowd anymore.

"Since she's already seen me, I'll wait here, you go around and hit her b***h a** from behind, ya?" It was the sort of plan Peyton liked. Straight forward and too the point.

Nodding, America quickly descended the fire escape, jumping down platforms rather than dealing with the stairs. She hadn't all, said, liked the look of that crowd, but a few dozen civilians really just didn't have anything on one full hunter, especially not one of the winners. The feeling that those who'd left those bases, last hunter standing, were the winners made her ******** skin crawl, but she still just couldn't shake it.

Pulling several sturdy bobby pins out of her hair, the Moon began to bend them into shape.

Rolling 1d20 for success, anything below 10 is a fail ~ do the same if Peyton decides to rafter crawl!

Stepping back from the window, Peyton watched America as she parkoured her way down the fire escape and out of sight. Splitting up had seemed a good idea when suggested--even now, logically it was a sound plan--but watching the last curl of ginger hair disappear around the edge of the building left the smaller hunter feeling uneasy.

It was the mission, the possibility of encountering something that still haunted both their nightmares. It was the chance that it would hit again, and they'd be at each others throats again. Granted, even sticking together that was a possibility.

Peyton licked drying lips, straightening from where she'd leaned against the railing, and turned her attention back to the window. She could either stay put and wait, or she could be a little more proactive.

Carefully, she hauled herself up and over the edge of the window, dropping down onto a long line of rafter. Nimbly she started across it, eyes all but glued on the crowd below as she searched for their target.
