Tristaphe The Compassionate Confidant Name: Tristaphe [tris-toff]

Appearance: aged - robust - intense
An obviously mature B'alam, Tristaphe can seem intimidating at first thanks to his larger stature and piercing, dark eyes, but he doesn't mean to look so disapproving. He is simply very aware of his surroundings and others, finely-tuned for whatever needs doing.
Personality: open - thoughtful - erratic
Often acting as the voice of reason for others because of his open-minded manner and patient listening, Tristaphe is nonetheless susceptible to getting carried away with his own line of thinking. He can become fearful and might need others to ground him, but he tries to be a reasonable and progressive B'alam. For better or for worse, Tristaphe is not afraid to take action, but he's more of a follower than a leader.
History:
Owing to his fear of the dark, and his paranoia that the light stored in his orb wouldn't carry him too far, Tristaphe has never left his home of the Crystal Wood.
Currently:
He's quite content with his way of life, mingling with others of his kind and helping in whatever ways he can.

Personality: reliable - wary - impressionable
A quiet and observant B'alam, his laidback manner and nickname of "Hen" might give the impression that he's a chicken, but in actuality, Henning is prone to surprising bursts of bravado and an uncommonly strong loyalty. He puts his friends first, even before himself, but this leads to a strong us vs. them mentality as he doesn't trust anyone outside of those he's bonded with. That being said, he's a keeper if you do manage to win him over.

Personality: aspiring - decisive - stubborn
Another thoughtful sort, though in a different way, Anders is always contemplating how conditions can be improved and just daring enough to put things into motion. This can sometimes bleed over into recklessness, and even rebelliousness, as Anders has a fearless lack of self-preservation when it comes to questioning things. For better or for worse, once he's set on a plan, it's hard to change his mind as he hates to back down or leave things unfinished.

Personality: inquisitive - knowledgeable - enthusiastic
With how barren and inhospitable the Ice Tribe lands might seem, Nita seeks to show others the wonders of it by searching out the few but hardy plants that can grow there. While she might seem obsessed with such mundane things as trees and moss, Nita seeks to learn as much as she can about anything and teach others in turn, hoping to instill the same zeal for life in others. So she can be chatty, sure, often not realizing she might be boring others, but Nita is also a comforting and resilient presence. She's no wilting flower, either, eager for adventure if it means making new discoveries.

Personality: strong-willed - aggressive - earnest
Miette is the type of B'alam who is all brass and swagger, speaking her mind at any opportunity and certainly making no apologies for it. She knows this will make her enemies and she doesn't seem to care much, often escalating conflicts into fights herself. That isn't to say Miette is a bully, in fact she'll often stand up for others if she sees some injustice done, but her short temper and blunt words give her a reputation, something she is proud of. She's no sore loser, though, and is a surprisingly affectionate friend once pecking orders are established. Miette is only looking for clarity, so why not have fun with it?

Personality: patient - distant - demanding
Sigurd is a hard B'alam to read thanks to his inability to detach himself from his Warlord title. A very civic-minded B'alam, he is always in business mode, concerned with the state of the tribe and always unconsciously judging others on their conduct. He is quiet and aloof, off-guard in situations that require him to be himself. Around his soldiers, Sigurd can act more naturally, even fatherly, wanting to guide and inspire the same sense of duty he lives and breathes.

Personality: gregarious - irreverent - dynamic
Barty is a man's man, if B'alam had such a concept. That is to say, he's the kind of cat others admire, living a rugged and exciting life all his own. He's a reveler and a braggart, so while he might spin tall tales for fun, there's no doubt he'll back his words up with daring acts bordering on foolish. He seeks to have fun in every facet of his life and can't be tied down, chasing after whatever sounds like an adventure and dodging the consequences with charm and bravado.

Personality: calculating - sinister - assured
As with many B'alam of the wind tribe, Chern wanders on his wings often. He's very much a loner, preferring to be left to his own devices unless he sees an opportunity to gain something for himself by striking an alliance with others. And that's the only thing he'll make, alliances, as he's not at all a friendly type, more likely to scorn naive or cowardly B'alam. Armed with claws and sabers well-used, Chern is not above doing dirty work for others or defending himself, slyly watching and waiting form on high.
